1 T hus saith Jehovah: The heavens are my throne, and the earth is my footstool: what is the house that ye will build unto me? and what is the place of my rest?

Jehová dijo así: El cielo es mi trono, y la tierra estrado de mis pies; ¿dónde está la casa que me habréis de edificar, y dónde el lugar de mi reposo?

2 E ven all these things hath my hand made, and all these things have been, saith Jehovah. But to this man will I look: to the afflicted and contrite in spirit, and who trembleth at my word.

Mi mano hizo todas estas cosas, y así todas estas cosas fueron, dice Jehová; pero miraré a aquel que es pobre y humilde de espíritu, y que tiembla a mi palabra.

3 H e that slaughtereth an ox, smiteth a man; he that sacrificeth a lamb, breaketh a dog's neck; he that offereth an oblation, swine's blood; he that presenteth a memorial of incense, he that blesseth an idol. As they have chosen their own ways, and their soul delighteth in their abominations,

El que sacrifica buey es como si matase a un hombre; el que sacrifica oveja, como si degollase un perro; el que hace ofrenda, como si ofreciese sangre de cerdo; el que quema incienso, como si bendijese a un ídolo. Y porque escogieron sus propios caminos, y su alma amó sus abominaciones,

4 I also will choose their calamities, and will bring their fears upon them; because I called, and none answered, I spoke, and they did not hear, but did that which was evil in mine eyes, and chose that wherein I delight not.

también yo escogeré para ellos escarnios, y traeré sobre ellos lo que temieron; porque llamé, y nadie respondió; hablé, y no oyeron, sino que hicieron lo malo delante de mis ojos, y escogieron lo que me desagrada.

5 H ear the word of Jehovah, ye that tremble at his word: Your brethren that hated you, that cast you out for my name's sake, said, Let Jehovah be glorified, and let us see your joy! but they shall be ashamed.

Oíd palabra de Jehová, vosotros los que tembláis a su palabra: Vuestros hermanos que os aborrecen, y os echan fuera por causa de mi nombre, dijeron: Jehová sea glorificado. Pero él se mostrará para alegría vuestra, y ellos serán confundidos.

6 A voice of tumult from the city, a voice from the temple, a voice of Jehovah that rendereth recompence to his enemies!

Voz de alboroto de la ciudad, voz del templo, voz de Jehová que da el pago a sus enemigos.

7 B efore she travailed, she brought forth; before her pain came, she was delivered of a man-child.

Antes que estuviese de parto, dio a luz; antes que le viniesen dolores, dio a luz hijo.

8 W ho hath heard such a thing? who hath seen such things? Can a land be made to bring forth in one day? shall a nation be born at once? For as soon as Zion travailed, she brought forth her sons.

¿Quién oyó cosa semejante? ¿quién vio tal cosa? ¿Concebirá la tierra en un día? ¿Nacerá una nación de una vez? Pues en cuanto Sion estuvo de parto, dio a luz sus hijos.

9 S hall I bring to the birth, and not cause to bring forth? saith Jehovah; I who cause to bring forth, shall I shut ? saith thy God.

Yo que hago dar a luz, ¿no haré nacer? dijo Jehová. Yo que hago engendrar, ¿impediré el nacimiento? dice tu Dios.

10 R ejoice with Jerusalem, and be glad for her, all ye that love her; rejoice for joy with her, all ye that mourn over her:

Alegraos con Jerusalén, y gozaos con ella, todos los que la amáis; llenaos con ella de gozo, todos los que os enlutáis por ella;

11 b ecause ye shall suck, and be satisfied with the breasts of her consolations; because ye shall drink out, and be delighted with the abundance of her glory.

para que maméis y os saciéis de los pechos de sus consolaciones; para que bebáis, y os deleitéis con el resplandor de su gloria.

12 F or thus saith Jehovah: Behold, I will extend peace to her like a river, and the glory of the nations like an overflowing torrent; and ye shall suck, ye shall be carried upon the side, and be dandled upon the knees.

Porque así dice Jehová: He aquí que yo extiendo sobre ella paz como un río, y la gloria de las naciones como torrente que se desborda; y mamaréis, y en los brazos seréis traídos, y sobre las rodillas seréis mimados.

13 A s one whom his mother comforteth, so will I comfort you; and ye shall be comforted in Jerusalem.

Como aquel a quien consuela su madre, así os consolaré yo a vosotros, y en Jerusalén tomaréis consuelo.

14 A nd ye shall see, and your heart shall rejoice, and your bones shall flourish like the grass; and the hand of Jehovah shall be known toward his servants, and he will have indignation toward his enemies.

Y veréis, y se alegrará vuestro corazón, y vuestros huesos reverdecerán como la hierba; y la mano de Jehová para con sus siervos será conocida, y se enojará contra sus enemigos.

15 F or behold, Jehovah will come with fire, and his chariots like a whirlwind, to render his anger with fury, and his rebuke with flames of fire.

Porque he aquí que Jehová vendrá con fuego, y sus carros como torbellino, para descargar su ira con furor, y su reprensión con llama de fuego.

16 F or by fire and by his sword will Jehovah enter into judgment with all flesh: and the slain of Jehovah shall be many.

Porque Jehová juzgará con fuego y con su espada a todo hombre; y los muertos de Jehová serán multiplicados.

17 T hey that sanctify themselves, and purify themselves in the gardens behind one in the midst; that eat swine's flesh, and the abomination, and the mouse, shall perish together, saith Jehovah.

Los que se santifican y los que se purifican en los huertos, unos tras otros, los que comen carne de cerdo y abominación y ratón, juntamente serán talados, dice Jehová.

18 A nd I,—their works and their thoughts. … cometh for the gathering of all nations and tongues; and they shall come, and see my glory.

Porque yo conozco sus obras y sus pensamientos; tiempo vendrá para juntar a todas las naciones y lenguas; y vendrán, y verán mi gloria.

19 A nd I will set a sign among them, and I will send those that escape of them unto the nations, to Tarshish, Pul, and Lud, that draw the bow; to Tubal and Javan, to the isles afar off, that have not heard my fame, neither have seen my glory: and they shall declare my glory among the nations.

Y pondré entre ellos señal, y enviaré de los escapados de ellos a las naciones, a Tarsis, a Fut y Lud que disparan arco, a Tubal y a Javán, a las costas lejanas que no oyeron de mí, ni vieron mi gloria; y publicarán mi gloria entre las naciones.

20 A nd they shall bring all your brethren out of all the nations as an oblation unto Jehovah, upon horses, and in chariots, and in covered waggons, and upon mules, and upon dromedaries, to my holy mountain, to Jerusalem, saith Jehovah, as the children of Israel bring an oblation in a clean vessel into the house of Jehovah.

Y traerán a todos vuestros hermanos de entre todas las naciones, por ofrenda a Jehová, en caballos, en carros, en literas, en mulos y en camellos, a mi santo monte de Jerusalén, dice Jehová, al modo que los hijos de Israel traen la ofrenda en utensilios limpios a la casa de Jehová.

21 A nd I will also take of them for priests for Levites, saith Jehovah.

Y tomaré también de ellos para sacerdotes y levitas, dice Jehová.

22 F or as the new heavens and the new earth which I will make shall remain before me, saith Jehovah, so shall your seed and your name remain.

Porque como los cielos nuevos y la nueva tierra que yo hago permanecerán delante de mí, dice Jehová, así permanecerá vuestra descendencia y vuestro nombre.

23 A nd it shall come to pass from new moon to new moon, and from sabbath to sabbath, all flesh shall come to worship before me, saith Jehovah.

Y de mes en mes, y de día de reposo en día de reposo, vendrán todos a adorar delante de mí, dijo Jehová.

24 A nd they shall go forth, and look upon the carcases of the men that have transgressed against me: for their worm shall not die, neither shall their fire be quenched; and they shall be an abhorrence unto all flesh.

Y saldrán, y verán los cadáveres de los hombres que se rebelaron contra mí; porque su gusano nunca morirá, ni su fuego se apagará, y serán abominables a todo hombre.
