3 B lessed are those who keep justice. Blessed is one who does what is right at all times.

Lum ata që respektojnë drejtësinë, që bëjnë atë që është e drejtë në çdo kohë.

4 R emember me, Yahweh, with the favor that you show to your people. Visit me with your salvation,

Mos më harro mua, o Zot, sipas mirësisë sate që tregon ndaj popullit tënd, dhe më vizito me shpëtimin tënd,

5 t hat I may see the prosperity of your chosen, that I may rejoice in the gladness of your nation, that I may glory with your inheritance.

me qëllim që të shoh mirëqënien e të zgjedhurve të tu, të kënaqem në gëzimin e kombit tënd dhe të mbushem me lavdi për trashëgiminë tënde.

6 W e have sinned with our fathers. We have committed iniquity. We have done wickedly.

Ne dhe etërit tanë kemi mëkatuar, kemi bërë paudhësi dhe të këqija.

7 O ur fathers didn’t understand your wonders in Egypt. They didn’t remember the multitude of your loving kindnesses, but were rebellious at the sea, even at the Red Sea.

Etërit tanë në Egjipt nuk i kuptuan mrekullitë e tua, nuk kujtuan numrin e madh të mirësive të tua dhe ngritën krye pranë detit, Deti i Kuq.

8 N evertheless he saved them for his name’s sake, that he might make his mighty power known.

Megjithatë Zoti i shpëtoi për hir të emrit të tij, për të bërë të njohur fuqinë e tij.

9 H e rebuked the Red Sea also, and it was dried up; so he led them through the depths, as through a desert.

I bërtiti Detit të Kuq dhe ai u tha, dhe i udhëhoqi nëpër humnerat si nëpër një shkretëtirë.

10 H e saved them from the hand of him who hated them, and redeemed them from the hand of the enemy.

I shpëtoi nga dora e atij që i urrente dhe i shpengoi nga dora e armikut.

11 T he waters covered their adversaries. There was not one of them left.

toka u hap dhe përpiu Dathanin dhe groposi grupin e Abiramit.

18 A fire was kindled in their company. The flame burned up the wicked.

Një zjarr shpërtheu në mes të tyre dhe flaka i përpiu të pabesët.

19 T hey made a calf in Horeb, and worshiped a molten image.

Bënë një viç në Horeb dhe adhuruan një shëmbëlltyrë prej metali të shkrirë,

20 T hus they exchanged their glory for an image of a bull that eats grass.

dhe e ndërruan lavdinë e tyre me shëmbëllytrën e një kau që ha bar.

21 T hey forgot God, their Savior, who had done great things in Egypt,

Harruan Perëndinë, Shpëtimtarin e tyre, që kishte bërë gjëra të mëdha në Egjipt,

22 W ondrous works in the land of Ham, and awesome things by the Red Sea.

mrekullitë në vendin e Kamit, gjëra të tmerrshme në Detin e Kuq.

23 T herefore he said that he would destroy them, had Moses, his chosen, not stood before him in the breach, to turn away his wrath, so that he wouldn’t destroy them.

Prandaj ai foli t’i shfarosë, por Moisiu, i zgjedhuri i tij, u paraqit mbi të çarën përpara tij për të penguar që zemërimi i tij t’i shkatërronte.

24 Y es, they despised the pleasant land. They didn’t believe his word,

26 T herefore he swore to them that he would overthrow them in the wilderness,

27 t hat he would overthrow their offspring among the nations, and scatter them in the lands.

28 T hey joined themselves also to Baal Peor, and ate the sacrifices of the dead.

29 T hus they provoked him to anger with their deeds. The plague broke in on them.

E zemëruan Perëndinë me veprimet e tyre dhe në mes tyre plasi murtaja.

34 T hey didn’t destroy the peoples, as Yahweh commanded them,

Ata nuk shkatërruan popujt, siç i kishte porositur Zoti;

35 b ut mixed themselves with the nations, and learned their works.

por u përzien midis popujve dhe mësuan veprat e tyre;

36 T hey served their idols, which became a snare to them.

u shërbyen idhujve të tyre, dhe këta u bënë një lak për ta;

37 Y es, they sacrificed their sons and their daughters to demons.

ua flijuan demonëve bijtë dhe bijat e tyre,

38 T hey shed innocent blood, even the blood of their sons and of their daughters, whom they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan. The land was polluted with blood.

39 T hus were they defiled with their works, and prostituted themselves in their deeds.

40 T herefore Yahweh burned with anger against his people. He abhorred his inheritance.

41 H e gave them into the hand of the nations. Those who hated them ruled over them.

42 T heir enemies also oppressed them. They were brought into subjection under their hand.

44 N evertheless he regarded their distress, when he heard their cry.

45 H e remembered for them his covenant, and repented according to the multitude of his loving kindnesses.

46 H e made them also to be pitied by all those who carried them captive.

47 S ave us, Yahweh, our God, gather us from among the nations, to give thanks to your holy name, to triumph in your praise!

48 B lessed be Yahweh, the God of Israel, from everlasting even to everlasting! Let all the people say, “Amen.” Praise Yah!
