1 H elp, Lord, for the godly man ceases to be, For the faithful disappear from among the sons of men.

Salva, oh Jehová, porque se acabaron los compasivos; Porque han desaparecido los leales de entre los hijos de los hombres.

2 T hey speak falsehood to one another; With flattering lips and with a double heart they speak.

Habla mentira cada uno con su prójimo; Hablan con labios lisonjeros, y con doblez de corazón.

3 M ay the Lord cut off all flattering lips, The tongue that speaks great things;

Arranque Jehová todos los labios lisonjeros, Y la lengua que habla jactanciosamente;

4 W ho have said, “With our tongue we will prevail; Our lips are our own; who is lord over us?”

A los que han dicho: Por nuestra lengua prevaleceremos; Nuestros labios por nosotros; ¿quién va a ser amo nuestro?

5 “ Because of the devastation of the afflicted, because of the groaning of the needy, Now I will arise,” says the Lord; “I will set him in the safety for which he longs.”

Por la opresión de los humildes; por el gemido de los menesterosos, Ahora me levantaré, dice Jehová; Traigo auxilio a quien por él suspira.

6 T he words of the Lord are pure words; As silver tried in a furnace on the earth, refined seven times.

Las palabras de Jehová son palabras sinceras, Como plata refinada en horno de tierra, Purificada siete veces.

7 Y ou, O Lord, will keep them; You will preserve him from this generation forever.

Tú, Jehová, nos guardarás; De esta generación nos preservarás para siempre.

8 T he wicked strut about on every side When vileness is exalted among the sons of men.

De los malvados que nos cercan, Porque la vileza es exaltada entre los hijos de los hombres.
