1 “ At that time the Lord said to me, ‘ Cut out for yourself two tablets of stone like the former ones, and come up to Me on the mountain, and make an ark of wood for yourself.

En aquel tiempo, Jehová me dijo: Lábrate dos tablas de piedra como las primeras, y sube a mí al monte, y hazte un arca de madera;

2 I will write on the tablets the words that were on the former tablets which you shattered, and you shall put them in the ark.’

y escribiré en aquellas tablas las palabras que estaban en las primeras tablas que quebraste; y las pondrás en el arca.

3 S o I made an ark of acacia wood and cut out two tablets of stone like the former ones, and went up on the mountain with the two tablets in my hand.

E hice un arca de madera de acacia, y labré dos tablas de piedra como las primeras, y subí al monte con las dos tablas en mi mano.

4 H e wrote on the tablets, like the former writing, the Ten Commandments which the Lord had spoken to you on the mountain from the midst of the fire on the day of the assembly; and the Lord gave them to me.

Y escribió en las tablas lo mismo que había escrito antes, los diez mandamientos que Jehová os había hablado en el monte de en medio del fuego, el día de la asamblea; y me las dio Jehová.

5 T hen I turned and came down from the mountain and put the tablets in the ark which I had made; and there they are, as the Lord commanded me.”

Y volví y descendí del monte, y puse las tablas en el arca que había hecho; y allí están, como Jehová me mandó.

6 ( Now the sons of Israel set out from Beeroth Bene-jaakan to Moserah. There Aaron died and there he was buried and Eleazar his son ministered as priest in his place.

(Después salieron los hijos de Israel de Beerot-bené-jaacán a Moserá; allí murió Aarón, y allí fue sepultado, y en lugar suyo tuvo el sacerdocio su hijo Eleazar.

7 F rom there they set out to Gudgodah, and from Gudgodah to Jotbathah, a land of brooks of water.

De allí partieron a Gudgoda, y de Gudgoda a Jotbatá, tierra de arroyos de aguas.

8 A t that time the Lord set apart the tribe of Levi to carry the ark of the covenant of the Lord, to stand before the Lord to serve Him and to bless in His name until this day.

En aquel tiempo, apartó Jehová la tribu de Leví para que llevase el arca del pacto de Jehová, para que estuviese delante de Jehová sirviéndole, y dando la bendición en su nombre, hasta el día de hoy;

9 T herefore, Levi does not have a portion or inheritance with his brothers; the Lord is his inheritance, just as the Lord your God spoke to him.)

por lo cual Leví no tuvo parte ni heredad con sus hermanos; Jehová es su heredad, como Jehová tu Dios le dijo.)

10 “ I, moreover, stayed on the mountain forty days and forty nights like the first time, and the Lord listened to me that time also; the Lord was not willing to destroy you.

Y yo estuve en el monte como la primera vez, cuarenta días y cuarenta noches; y Jehová también me escuchó esta vez, y desistió de destruirte.

11 T hen the Lord said to me, ‘Arise, proceed on your journey ahead of the people, that they may go in and possess the land which I swore to their fathers to give them.’

Y me dijo Jehová: Levántate, anda, para que marches delante del pueblo, para que entren y posean la tierra que juré a sus padres que les había de dar. Lo que Dios exige

12 “ Now, Israel, what does the Lord your God require from you, but to fear the Lord your God, to walk in all His ways and love Him, and to serve the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul,

Ahora, pues, Israel, ¿qué pide Jehová tu Dios de ti, sino que temas a Jehová tu Dios, que andes en todos sus caminos, y que lo ames, y sirvas a Jehová tu Dios con todo tu corazón y con toda tu alma;

13 a nd to keep the Lord’s commandments and His statutes which I am commanding you today for your good?

que guardes los mandamientos de Jehová y sus estatutos, que yo te prescribo hoy, para que tengas prosperidad?

14 B ehold, to the Lord your God belong heaven and the highest heavens, the earth and all that is in it.

He aquí, de Jehová tu Dios son los cielos, y los cielos de los cielos, la tierra, y todas las cosas que hay en ella.

15 Y et on your fathers did the Lord set His affection to love them, and He chose their descendants after them, even you above all peoples, as it is this day.

Con todo, sólo de tus padres se agradó Jehová con amor, y escogió su descendencia después de ellos, a vosotros, de entre todos los pueblos, como hoy se hace evidente.

16 S o circumcise your heart, and stiffen your neck no longer.

Circuncidad, pues, el prepucio de vuestro corazón, y no endurezcáis más vuestra cerviz.

17 F or the Lord your God is the God of gods and the Lord of lords, the great, the mighty, and the awesome God who does not show partiality nor take a bribe.

Porque Jehová vuestro Dios es Dios de dioses, y Señor de señores, Dios grande, poderoso y temible, que no hace acepción de personas, ni admite soborno;

18 H e executes justice for the orphan and the widow, and shows His love for the alien by giving him food and clothing.

que hace justicia al huérfano y a la viuda; que ama también al extranjero dándole pan y vestido.

19 S o show your love for the alien, for you were aliens in the land of Egypt.

Amaréis, pues, al extranjero; porque extranjeros fuisteis en la tierra de Egipto.

20 Y ou shall fear the Lord your God; you shall serve Him and cling to Him, and you shall swear by His name.

A Jehová tu Dios temerás, a él solo servirás, a él seguirás, y por su nombre jurarás.

21 H e is your praise and He is your God, who has done these great and awesome things for you which your eyes have seen.

Él será el objeto de tu alabanza, porque él es tu Dios, que ha hecho contigo estas cosas grandes y terribles que tus ojos han visto.

22 Y our fathers went down to Egypt seventy persons in all, and now the Lord your God has made you as numerous as the stars of heaven.

Con setenta personas descendieron tus padres a Egipto, y ahora Jehová te ha hecho como las estrellas del cielo en multitud.
