1 Y se acordó Dios de Noé y de todas las bestias y de todo el ganado que estaban con él en el arca; y Dios hizo pasar un viento sobre la tierra y decrecieron las aguas.

And God remembered Noah, and all the animals, and all the cattle that were with him in the ark; and God made a wind to pass over the earth, and the waters subsided.

2 Y se cerraron las fuentes del abismo y las compuertas del cielo, y se detuvo la lluvia del cielo.

And the fountains of the deep and the windows of heaven were closed, and the pour of rain from heaven was stopped.

3 L as aguas bajaron gradualmente de sobre la tierra, y al cabo de ciento cincuenta días, las aguas habían decrecido.

And the waters retired from the earth, continually retiring; and in the course of a hundred and fifty days the waters abated.

4 Y en el mes séptimo, el día diecisiete del mes, el arca descansó sobre los montes de Ararat.

And the ark rested in the seventh month, on the seventeenth day of the month, on the mountains of Ararat.

5 L as aguas fueron decreciendo paulatinamente hasta el mes décimo; y el día primero del mes décimo, se vieron las cimas de los montes.

And the waters abated continually until the tenth month: in the tenth, on the first of the month, the tops of the mountains were seen.

6 Y aconteció que al cabo de cuarenta días, Noé abrió la ventana del arca que él había hecho,

And it came to pass at the end of forty days that Noah opened the window of the ark which he had made.

7 y envió un cuervo, que estuvo yendo y viniendo hasta que se secaron las aguas sobre la tierra.

And he sent out the raven, which went forth going to and fro, until the waters were dried from the earth.

8 D espués envió una paloma para ver si las aguas habían disminuido sobre la superficie de la tierra,

And he sent out the dove from him, to see if the waters had become low on the ground.

9 p ero la paloma no encontró lugar donde posarse, de modo que volvió a él, al arca, porque las aguas estaban sobre la superficie de toda la tierra. Entonces extendió su mano, la tomó y la metió consigo en el arca.

But the dove found no resting-place for the sole of her foot, and returned to him into the ark; for the waters were on the whole earth; and he put forth his hand, and took her, and brought her to him into the ark.

10 E speró aún otros siete días, y volvió a enviar la paloma desde el arca.

And he waited yet other seven days, and again he sent forth the dove out of the ark.

11 Y hacia el atardecer la paloma regresó a él, y he aquí, en su pico traía una hoja de olivo recién arrancada. Entonces Noé comprendió que las aguas habían disminuido sobre la tierra.

And the dove came to him at eventide; and behold, in her beak was an olive-leaf plucked off; and Noah knew that the waters had become low on the earth.

12 E speró aún otros siete días, y envió la paloma, pero ya no volvió más a él. Noé sale del arca

And he waited yet other seven days, and sent forth the dove; but she returned no more to him.

13 Y aconteció que en el año seiscientos uno de Noé, en el mes primero, el día primero del mes, se secaron las aguas sobre la tierra. Entonces Noé quitó la cubierta del arca y miró, y he aquí, estaba seca la superficie de la tierra.

And it came to pass in the six hundred and first year, in the first, on the first of the month, that the waters were dried up from the earth. And Noah removed the covering of the ark, and looked, and behold, the surface of the ground was dried.

14 Y en el mes segundo, el día veintisiete del mes, estaba seca la tierra.

And in the second month, on the twenty-seventh day of the month, the earth was dry.

15 E ntonces habló Dios a Noé, diciendo:

And God spoke to Noah, saying,

16 S al del arca tú, y contigo tu mujer, tus hijos y las mujeres de tus hijos.

Go out of the ark, thou, and thy wife, and thy sons, and thy sons' wives with thee.

17 S aca contigo todo ser viviente de toda carne que está contigo: aves, ganados y todo reptil que se arrastra sobre la tierra, para que se reproduzcan en abundancia sobre la tierra, y sean fecundos y se multipliquen sobre la tierra.

Bring forth with thee every animal which is with thee, of all flesh, fowl as well as cattle, and all the creeping things which creep on the earth, that they may swarm on the earth, and may be fruitful and multiply on the earth.

18 S alió, pues, Noé, y con él sus hijos y su mujer y las mujeres de sus hijos.

And Noah went out, and his sons, and his wife, and his sons' wives with him.

19 Y todas las bestias, todos los reptiles, todas las aves y todo lo que se mueve sobre la tierra, salieron del arca según sus familias.

All the animals, all the creeping things, and all the fowl—everything that moves on the earth, after their kinds, went out of the ark.

20 Y edificó Noé un altar al Señor, y tomó de todo animal limpio y de toda ave limpia, y ofreció holocaustos en el altar.

And Noah built an altar to Jehovah; and took of every clean animal, and of all clean fowl, and offered up burnt-offerings on the altar.

21 Y el Señor percibió el aroma agradable, y dijo el Señor para sí: Nunca más volveré a maldecir la tierra por causa del hombre, porque la intención del corazón del hombre es mala desde su juventud; nunca más volveré a destruir todo ser viviente como lo he hecho.

And Jehovah smelled the sweet odour. And Jehovah said in his heart, I will no more henceforth curse the ground on account of Man, for the thought of Man's heart is evil from his youth; and I will no more smite every living thing, as I have done.

22 M ientras la tierra permanezca, la siembra y la siega, el frío y el calor, el verano y el invierno, el día y la noche, nunca cesarán.

Henceforth, all the days of the earth, seed and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night, shall not cease.
