1 V enid, volvamos al Señor. Pues El nos ha desgarrado, y nos sanará; nos ha herido, y nos vendará.

Come and let us return unto Jehovah: for he hath torn, and he will heal us; he hath smitten, and he will bind us up.

2 N os dará vida después de dos días, al tercer día nos levantará y viviremos delante de El.

After two days will he revive us; on the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live before his face;

3 C onozcamos, pues, esforcémonos por conocer al Señor. Su salida es tan cierta como la aurora, y El vendrá a nosotros como la lluvia, como la lluvia de primavera que riega la tierra.

and we shall know,—we shall follow on to know Jehovah: his going forth is assured as the morning dawn; and he will come unto us as the rain, as the latter rain which watereth the earth.

4 ¿ Qué haré contigo, Efraín ? ¿Qué haré contigo, Judá? Porque vuestra lealtad es como nube matinal, y como el rocío, que temprano desaparece.

What shall I do unto thee, Ephraim? What shall I do unto thee, Judah? For your goodness is as a morning cloud, and as the dew that early passeth away.

5 P or tanto los he despedazado por medio de los profetas, los he matado con las palabras de mi boca; los juicios sobre ti son como la luz que sale.

Therefore have I hewed by the prophets; I have slain them by the words of my mouth: and my judgment goeth forth as the light.

6 P orque más me deleito en la lealtad que en el sacrificio, y más en el conocimiento de Dios que en los holocaustos.

For I delight in loving-kindness, and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of God more than burnt-offerings.

7 P ero ellos, como Adán, han transgredido el pacto; allí me han traicionado.

But they like Adam have transgressed the covenant: there have they dealt treacherously against me.

8 G alaad es ciudad de malhechores, con huellas de sangre.

Gilead is a city of them that work iniquity; it is tracked with blood.

9 C omo bandidos al acecho de un hombre, es la banda de sacerdotes que asesina en el camino a Siquem; ciertamente han cometido iniquidad.

And as troops of robbers lie in wait for a man, so the company of priests murder in the way of Shechem; yea, they commit lewdness.

10 E n la casa de Israel he visto una cosa horrible: allí está la prostitución de Efraín, se ha contaminado Israel.

In the house of Israel have I seen a horrible thing: the whoredom of Ephraim is there; Israel is defiled.

11 P ara ti también, oh Judá, hay preparada una cosecha, cuando yo restaure el bienestar de mi pueblo.

Also, for thee, Judah, is a harvest appointed, when I shall turn again the captivity of my people.
