1 N o verás extraviado el buey de tu hermano, o su oveja, sin que te ocupes de ellos; sin falta los llevarás a tu hermano.

Thou shalt not see thy brother's ox or his sheep go astray, and hide thyself from them: thou shalt in any case bring them back unto thy brother.

2 Y si tu hermano no vive cerca de ti, o si no lo conoces, entonces lo traerás a tu casa, y estará contigo hasta que tu hermano lo busque; entonces se lo devolverás.

And if thy brother be not near unto thee, and thou know him not, then thou shalt bring it unto thy house, and it shall be with thee until thy brother seek after it, and thou shalt restore it unto him.

3 A sí harás con su asno, y asimismo harás con su vestido; lo mismo harás con cualquier cosa perdida que tu hermano haya perdido y que tú halles. No te es permitido ignorarlos.

And so shalt thou do with his ass; and so shalt thou do with his clothing; and so shalt thou do with everything that is lost of thy brother, which he loseth, and thou findest: thou mayest not hide thyself.

4 N o verás el asno de tu hermano, o su buey, caído en el camino sin ocuparte de ellos; sin falta le ayudarás a levantar los.

Thou shalt not see thy brother's ass or his ox fall by the way, and hide thyself from them: thou shalt in any case him to lift them up.

5 L a mujer no vestirá ropa de hombre, ni el hombre se pondrá ropa de mujer; porque cualquiera que hace esto es abominación al Señor tu Dios.

There shall not be a man's apparel on a woman, neither shall a man put on a woman's clothing; for whoever doeth so is an abomination to Jehovah thy God.

6 S i encuentras un nido de pájaros por el camino, en un árbol o en la tierra, con polluelos o con huevos, y la madre echada sobre los polluelos o sobre los huevos, no tomarás la madre con los hijos;

If a bird's nest chance to be before thee in the way, in any tree, or upon the ground, with young or with eggs, and the dam sitting upon the young or upon the eggs, thou shalt not take the dam with the young:

7 s in falta dejarás ir a la madre, mas a los hijos los puedes tomar para ti, para que te vaya bien y prolongues tus días.

thou shalt in any case let the dam go, and thou mayest take the young to thee, that it may be well with thee, and that thou mayest prolong thy days.

8 C uando edifiques casa nueva, le harás un muro a tu azotea, para que no traigas culpa de sangre sobre tu casa si alguno se cayera de ella.

When thou buildest a new house, thou shalt make a parapet for thy roof, that thou bring not blood upon thy house, if any one should in any wise fall from it.

9 N o sembrarás tu viña con dos clases de semilla, no sea que todo el fruto de la semilla que hayas sembrado y el producto de la viña queden inservibles.

Thou shalt not sow thy vineyard with two sorts, lest the whole of thy seed which thou hast sown, and the produce of thy vineyard, be forfeited.

10 N o ararás con buey y asno juntos.

Thou shalt not plough with an ox and an ass together.

11 N o vestirás ropa de material mezclado de lana y lino.

Thou shalt not wear a garment of mixed material, of wool and linen together.

12 T e harás borlas en las cuatro puntas del manto con que te cubras. Leyes sobre la moralidad

Tassels shalt thou make thee on the four corners of thy clothing, wherewith thou coverest thyself.

13 S i un hombre toma a una mujer y se llega a ella, y después la aborrece,

If a man take a wife, and go in unto her and hate her,

14 y la acusa de actos vergonzosos y la difama públicamente, diciendo: “Tomé a esta mujer, pero al llegarme a ella no la encontré virgen”,

and charge her with things for scandalous talk, and cause an evil name against her to be spread abroad, and say, This woman have I taken, and I came in unto her, and I did not find her a virgin;

15 e ntonces el padre y la madre de la joven tomarán las pruebas de la virginidad de la joven y las llevarán a los ancianos de la ciudad, a la puerta.

then shall the father of the damsel, and her mother, take and bring forth the tokens of the damsel's virginity unto the elders of the city in the gate;

16 Y el padre de la joven dirá a los ancianos: “Di mi hija por mujer a este hombre, pero él la aborreció;

and the damsel's father shall say unto the elders, I gave my daughter unto this man as wife, and he hates her;

17 y he aquí, él le atribuye actos vergonzosos, diciendo: ‘No encontré virgen a tu hija.’ Pero esta es la prueba de la virginidad de mi hija.” Y extenderán la ropa delante de los ancianos de la ciudad.

and behold, he charges her with things for scandalous talk, saying, I found not thy daughter a virgin; and here are the tokens of my daughter's virginity. And they shall spread the cloth before the elders of the city.

18 Y los ancianos de la ciudad tomarán al hombre y lo castigarán,

And the elders of that city shall take the man and chastise him;

19 y le pondrán una multa de cien siclos de plata, que darán al padre de la joven, porque difamó públicamente a una virgen de Israel. Y ella seguirá siendo su mujer; no podrá despedirla en todos sus días.

and they shall fine him a hundred shekels of silver, and give them unto the father of the damsel, because he hath caused an evil name to be spread abroad against a virgin in Israel. And she shall remain his wife: he may not put her away all his days.

20 P ero si el asunto es verdad, que la joven no fue hallada virgen,

But if this thing is true, virginity hath not been found with the damsel;

21 e ntonces llevarán a la joven a la puerta de la casa de su padre, y los hombres de su ciudad la apedrearán hasta que muera, porque ella ha cometido una infamia en Israel prostituyéndose en la casa de su padre; así quitarás el mal de en medio de ti.

then they shall bring out the damsel unto the entrance of her father's house, and the men of her city shall stone her with stones that she die: because she hath wrought infamy in Israel, committing fornication in her father's house; and thou shalt put evil away from thy midst.

22 S i se encuentra a un hombre acostado con una mujer casada, los dos morirán, el hombre que se acostó con la mujer, y la mujer; así quitarás el mal de Israel.

If a man be found lying with a man's wife, they shall both of them die, the man that lay with the woman, and the woman; and thou shalt put away evil from Israel.

23 S i hay una joven virgen que está comprometida a un hombre, y otro hombre la encuentra en la ciudad y se acuesta con ella,

If a damsel, a virgin, be betrothed to some one, and a man find her in the city, and lie with her,

24 e ntonces llevaréis a los dos a la puerta de esa ciudad y los apedrearéis hasta que mueran; la joven, porque no dio voces en la ciudad, y el hombre, porque ha violado a la mujer de su prójimo; así quitarás el mal de en medio de ti.

then ye shall bring them both out unto the gate of that city, and stone them with stones that they die; the damsel, because she cried not, in the city, and the man, because he hath humbled his neighbour's wife; and thou shalt put evil away from thy midst.

25 P ero si el hombre encuentra en el campo a la joven que está comprometida, y el hombre la fuerza y se acuesta con ella; entonces morirá sólo el que se acuesta con ella,

But if a man find a betrothed damsel in the field, and the man force her, and lie with her, then the man only that lay with her shall die;

26 n o harás nada a la joven; no hay en la joven pecado digno de muerte, porque como cuando un hombre se levanta contra su vecino y lo mata, así es este caso;

and unto the damsel thou shalt do nothing: there is in the damsel no sin worthy of death; for as when a man riseth against his neighbour, and murdereth him, so is this matter;

27 c uando él la encontró en el campo, la joven comprometida dio voces, pero no había nadie que la salvara.

for he found her in the field, the betrothed damsel cried, and there was no one to save her.

28 S i un hombre encuentra a una joven virgen que no está comprometida, y se apodera de ella y se acuesta con ella, y son descubiertos,

If a man find a damsel, a virgin, who is not betrothed, and lay hold on her, and lie with her, and they be found,

29 e ntonces el hombre que se acostó con ella dará cincuenta siclos de plata al padre de la joven, y ella será su mujer porque la ha violado; no podrá despedirla en todos sus días.

then the man that lay with her shall give unto the damsel's father fifty of silver, and she shall be his wife, because he hath humbled her; he may not put her away all his days.

30 N inguno tomará a la mujer de su padre para que no descubra la vestidura de su padre.

A man shall not take his father's wife, nor uncover his father's skirt.
