1 I ndeed, my heart also trembles and leaps out of its place.

Por eso también se estremece mi corazón, Y salta de su lugar.

2 H ear, oh, hear the roar of His voice and the sound of rumbling that goes out of His mouth!

Oíd atentamente el estrépito de su voz, Y el sonido que sale de su boca.

3 U nder the whole heaven He lets it loose, and His lightning to the ends of the earth.

Debajo de todos los cielos lo dirige, Y su luz hasta los fines de la tierra.

4 A fter it His voice roars; He thunders with the voice of His majesty, and He restrains not when His voice is heard.

Después de ella brama el sonido, Truena él con voz majestuosa; Y aunque sea oída su voz, no los detiene.

5 G od thunders marvelously with His voice; He does great things which we cannot comprehend.

Truena Dios maravillosamente con su voz; El hace grandes cosas, que nosotros no entendemos.

6 F or He says to the snow, Fall on the earth; likewise He speaks to the showers and to the downpour of His mighty rains.

Porque a la nieve dice: Desciende a la tierra; También a la llovizna, y a los aguaceros torrenciales.

7 G od seals up (stops, brings to a standstill by severe weather) the hand of every man, that all men whom He has made may know His doings (His sovereign power and their subjection to it).

Así hace retirarse a todo hombre, Para que los hombres todos reconozcan su obra.

8 T hen the beasts go into dens and remain in their lairs.

Las bestias entran en su escondrijo, Y se están en sus moradas.

9 O ut of its chamber comes the whirlwind, and cold from the scattering winds.

Del sur viene el torbellino, Y el frío de los vientos del norte.

10 B y the breath of God ice is given, and the breadth of the waters is frozen over.

Por el soplo de Dios se da el hielo, Y las anchas aguas se congelan.

11 H e loads the thick cloud with moisture; He scatters the cloud of His lightning.

Regando también llega a disipar la densa nube, Y con su luz esparce la niebla.

12 A nd it is turned round about by His guidance, that they may do whatever He commands them upon the face of the habitable earth.

Asimismo por sus designios se revuelven las nubes en derredor, Para hacer sobre la faz del mundo, En la tierra, lo que él les mande.

13 W hether it be for correction or for His earth or for His mercy and loving-kindness, He causes it to come.

Unas veces por azote, otras por causa de su tierra, Otras por misericordia las hará venir.

14 H ear this, O Job; stand still and consider the wondrous works of God.

Escucha esto, Job; Detente, y considera las maravillas de Dios.

15 D o you know how God lays His command upon them and causes the lightning of His cloud to shine?

¿Sabes tú cómo Dios las pone en concierto, Y hace resplandecer la luz de su nube?

16 D o you know how the clouds are balanced, the wonderful works of Him Who is perfect in knowledge?

¿Has conocido tú las diferencias de las nubes, Las maravillas del Perfecto en sabiduría?

17 w hy your garments are hot when He quiets the earth with the south wind?

¿Por qué están calientes tus vestidos Cuando él sosiega la tierra con el viento del sur?

18 C an you along with Him spread out the sky, strong as a molten mirror?

¿Extendiste tú con él los cielos, Firmes como un espejo fundido?

19 T ell us with what words of man we may address such a Being; we cannot state our case because we are in the dark.

Muéstranos qué le hemos de decir; Porque nosotros no podemos ordenar las ideas a causa de las tinieblas.

20 S o shall it be told Him that I wish to speak? If a man speaks, shall he be swallowed up?

¿Será preciso contarle cuando yo hablare? Por más que el hombre razone, quedará como abismado.

21 A nd now men cannot look upon the light when it is bright in the skies, when the wind has passed and cleared them.

Mas ahora ya no se puede mirar la luz esplendente en los cielos, Luego que pasa el viento y los limpia,

22 G olden brightness and splendor come out of the north; terrible splendor and majesty God has upon Himself!

Viniendo de la parte del norte la dorada claridad. En Dios hay una majestad terrible.

23 T ouching the Almighty, we cannot find Him out; He is excellent in power; and to justice and plenteous righteousness He does no violence.

El es Todopoderoso, al cual no alcanzamos, grande en poder; Y en juicio y en multitud de justicia no afligirá.

24 M en therefore fear Him; He regards and respects not any who are wise in heart.

Lo temerán por tanto los hombres; El no estima a ninguno que cree en su propio corazón ser sabio.
