1 A nd Saul was consenting unto his death. And there arose on that day a great persecution against the church which was in Jerusalem; and they were all scattered abroad throughout the regions of Judaea and Samaria, except the apostles.

А Савел одобряваше убиването му. И на същия ден се подигна голямо гонение против църквата в Ерусалим; и те всички с изключение на апостолите, се разпръснаха по Юдейските и Самарийските окръзи.

2 A nd devout men buried Stephen, and made great lamentation over him.

И някои благочестиви човеци погребаха Стефана и ридаха за него твърде много.

3 B ut Saul laid waste the church, entering into every house, and dragging men and women committed them to prison.

А Савел опустошаваше църквата, като влизаше във всяка къща и завличаше мъже и жени та ги предаваше в тъмница.

4 T hey therefore that were scattered abroad, went about preaching the word.

А тия, които бяха се разпръснали, обикаляха и разгласяваха благовестието.

5 A nd Philip went down to the city of Samaria, and proclaimed unto them the Christ.

Така Филип слезе в град Самария и им проповядваше Христа.

6 A nd the multitudes gave heed with one accord unto the things that were spoken by Philip, when they heard, and saw the signs which he did.

И народът единодушно внимаваше на това, което Филип им говореше, като слушаха всичко, И виждаха знаменията, които вършеше.

7 F or from many of those that had unclean spirits, they came out, crying with a loud voice: and many that were palsied, and that were lame, were healed.

Защото нечистите духове, като викаха със силен глас, излизаха от мнозина, които ги имаха; и мнозина парализирани и куци бидоха изцелени;

8 A nd there was much joy in that city.

тъй щото настана голяма радост в оня град.

9 B ut there was a certain man, Simon by name, who beforetime in the city used sorcery, and amazed the people of Samaria, giving out that himself was some great one:

А имаше от по-напред в града един човек на име Симон, който, като представяше себе си за някаква велика личност, правеше магии и очудваше населението на Самария.

10 t o whom they all gave heed, from the least to the greatest, saying, This man is that power of God which is called Great.

На него внимаваха всички, от малък до голям, казвайки: Тоя е така наречената Велика Божия Сила.

11 A nd they gave heed to him, because that of long time he had amazed them with his sorceries.

И внимаваха на него, понеже за доста време ги беше учудвал с магиите си.

12 B ut when they believed Philip preaching good tidings concerning the kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women.

Но когато повярваха на Филипа, който благовестяваше за Божието царство и за Исус Христовото име, кръщаваха се мъже и жени.

13 A nd Simon also himself believed: and being baptized, he continued with Philip; and beholding signs and great miracles wrought, he was amazed.

И самият Симон повярва и, като се кръсти, постоянно придружаваше Филипа, та, като гледаше, че стават знамения и велики дела, удивяваше се.

14 N ow when the apostles that were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent unto them Peter and John:

А апостолите, които бяха в Ерусалим, като чуха, че Самария приела Божието учение, пратиха им Петра и Йоана,

15 w ho, when they were come down, prayed for them, that they might receive the Holy Spirit:

които, като слязоха, помолиха се за тях за да приемат Светия Дух;

16 f or as yet it was fallen upon none of them: only they had been baptized into the name of the Lord Jesus.

Защото той не беше слязъл още ни на един от тях; а само бяха кръстени в Исус Христовото име.

17 T hen laid they their hands on them, and they received the Holy Spirit.

Тогава апостолите полагаха ръце на тях, и те приемаха Светия Дух.

18 N ow when Simon saw that through the laying on of the apostles' hands the Holy Spirit was given, he offered them money,

А Симон, като видя, че с полагането на апостолските ръце, се даваше Светия Дух, предложи им пари, казвайки:

19 s aying, Give me also this power, that on whomsoever I lay my hands, he may receive the Holy Spirit.

Дайте и на мене тая сила щото на когото положа ръце, да приема Светия Дух.

20 B ut Peter said unto him, Thy silver perish with thee, because thou hast thought to obtain the gift of God with money.

А Петър му рече: Парите ти с тебе заедно де погинат, защото си помислил да придобиеш Божий дар с пари.

21 T hou hast neither part nor lot in this matter: for thy heart is not right before God.

Ти нямаш нито участие, нито дял в тая работа, защото сърцето ти не е право пред Бога.

22 R epent therefore of this thy wickedness, and pray the Lord, if perhaps the thought of thy heart shall be forgiven thee.

Затуй, покай се от това твое нечестие, и моли се Господу дано ти се прости тая помисъл на сърцето ти;

23 F or I see that thou art in the gall of bitterness and in the bond of iniquity.

понеже гледам, че си в горчива жлъчка и си вързан в неправда.

24 A nd Simon answered and said, Pray ye for me to the Lord, that none of the things which ye have spoken come upon me.

А Симон в отговор рече: молете се вие на Господа за мене, да ме не постигне нищо от онова що рекохте.

25 T hey therefore, when they had testified and spoken the word of the Lord, returned to Jerusalem, and preached the gospel to many villages of the Samaritans.

Те прочее, след като засвидетелствуваха и разгласяваха Господнето учение, върнаха се в Ерусалим, като по пътя проповядваха благовестието на много Самарийски села.

26 B ut an angel of the Lord spake unto Philip, saying, Arise, and go toward the south unto the way that goeth down from Jerusalem unto Gaza: the same is desert.

А ангел от Господа говори на Филипа, казвайки: Стани, иди към юг, по пътя, който слиза от Ерусалим през пустинята за Газа.

27 A nd he arose and went: and behold, a man of Ethiopia, a eunuch of great authority under Candace, queen of the Ethiopians, who was over all her treasure, who had come to Jerusalem to worship;

И той стана та отиде. И, ето, човек от Етиопия, скопец, велможа на Етиопската царица Кандакия, който беше поставен над всичкото и съкровище, и беше дошъл в Ерусалим да се поклони,

28 a nd he was returning and sitting in his chariot, and was reading the prophet Isaiah.

на връщане седеше в колесницата си и четеше пророка Исаия.

29 A nd the Spirit said unto Philip, Go near, and join thyself to this chariot.

А Духът рече на Филипа: приближи се и придружи тая колесница.

30 A nd Philip ran to him, and heard him reading Isaiah the prophet, and said, Understandest thou what thou readest?

И Филип се завтече та го чу като прочиташе пророка Исаия, и каза: Ами разбираш ли какво четеш?

31 A nd he said, How can I, except some one shall guide me? And he besought Philip to come up and sit with him.

А той рече: Как да разбера, ако ме не опъти някой? И помоли Филипа да се качи и да седне с него.

32 N ow the passage of the Scripture which he was reading was this, He was led as a sheep to the slaughter; And as a lamb before his shearer is dumb, So he openeth not his mouth:

А мястото от писанието, което четеше, беше това: "Като овца биде заведен на клане: И както агне пред стригача си не издава глас, Така не отваря устата си;

33 I n his humiliation his judgment was taken away: His generation who shall declare? For his life is taken from the earth.

В унижение отмени се съдбата му, А поколението му, _

34 A nd the eunuch answered Philip, and said, I pray thee, of whom speaketh the prophet this? of himself, or of some other?

И скопецът продума та рече на Филипа: Кажи ми, моля ти се, за кого казва това пророкът, _

35 A nd Philip opened his mouth, and beginning from this Scripture, preached unto him Jesus.

А Филип отвори уста, и като почна от това писание, благовести му Исуса.

36 A nd as they went on the way, they came unto a certain water; and the eunuch saith, Behold, here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized?

И като вървяха по пътя, дойдоха до една вода; и скопецът каза: Ето вода; какво ми пречи да се кръстя?

37 A nd Philip said, If thou believest with all thy heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.

и Филип рече: Ако вярваш от все сърце можеш. А той в отговор каза: Вярвам, че Исус Христос е Син Божий.

38 A nd he commanded the chariot to stand still: and they both went down into the water, both Philip and the eunuch, and he baptized him.

Тогава заповяда да се спре колесницата; и двамата слязоха във водата, и Филип и скопецът; и кръсти го.

39 A nd when they came up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught away Philip; and the eunuch saw him no more, for he went on his way rejoicing.

А когато излязоха из водата, Господния Дух грабна Филипа; и скопецът вече го не видя, защото възрадван продължи пътя си.

40 B ut Philip was found at Azotus: and passing through he preached the gospel to all the cities, till he came to Caesarea.

А Филип се намери в Азот; и, като преминаваше, проповядваше благовестието по всичките градове докле стигна в Кесария.
