1 T he Lord said to Moses,

Habló Jehová a Moisés, diciendo:

2 “ Say to the people of Israel, ‘I am the Lord your God.

Habla a los hijos de Israel, y diles: Yo soy Jehová vuestro Dios.

3 D o not do what is done in the land of Egypt where you lived. And do not do what is done in the land of Canaan where I am bringing you. Do not follow their laws.

No haréis como hacen en la tierra de Egipto, en la cual morasteis; ni haréis como hacen en la tierra de Canaán, a la cual yo os conduzco, ni andaréis en sus estatutos.

4 Y ou are to do what I say and keep My Laws and live by them. I am the Lord your God.

Mis ordenanzas pondréis por obra, y mis estatutos guardaréis, andando en ellos. Yo Jehová vuestro Dios.

5 S o keep My Laws and do what I say. If a man obeys them, My Laws will be life for him. I am the Lord.

Por tanto, guardaréis mis estatutos y mis ordenanzas, los cuales haciendo el hombre, vivirá en ellos. Yo Jehová.

6 ‘ You should not go near a person of your own family to have sex. I am the Lord.

Ningún varón se llegue a parienta próxima alguna, para descubrir su desnudez. Yo Jehová.

7 D o not put your father to shame by taking the clothes off your mother. She is your mother. Do not take her clothes off.

La desnudez de tu padre, o la desnudez de tu madre, no descubrirás; tu madre es, no descubrirás su desnudez.

8 D o not take the clothes off your father’s wife. Her body is for your father.

La desnudez de la mujer de tu padre no descubrirás; es la desnudez de tu padre.

9 D o not take the clothes off your sister, the daughter of your father or of your mother, if she is born at home or away from home.

La desnudez de tu hermana, hija de tu padre o hija de tu madre, nacida en casa o nacida fuera, su desnudez no descubrirás.

10 D o not take the clothes off your son’s daughter or your daughter’s daughter. For they are of your own family.

La desnudez de la hija de tu hijo, o de la hija de tu hija, su desnudez no descubrirás, porque es la desnudez tuya.

11 D o not take the clothes off your father’s wife’s daughter, born to your father. She is your sister.

La desnudez de la hija de la mujer de tu padre, engendrada de tu padre, tu hermana es; su desnudez no descubrirás.

12 D o not take the clothes off your father’s sister. She is of your father’s own family.

La desnudez de la hermana de tu padre no descubrirás; es parienta de tu padre.

13 D o not take the clothes off your mother’s sister. She is of your mother’s own family.

La desnudez de la hermana de tu madre no descubrirás, porque parienta de tu madre es.

14 D o not put your father’s brother to shame. Do not go near to take the clothes off his wife. She is of your family.

La desnudez del hermano de tu padre no descubrirás; no llegarás a su mujer; es mujer del hermano de tu padre.

15 D o not take the clothes off your daughter-in-law. She is your son’s wife. Do not take her clothes off.

La desnudez de tu nuera no descubrirás; mujer es de tu hijo, no descubrirás su desnudez.

16 D o not take the clothes off your brother’s wife. Her body is for your brother.

La desnudez de la mujer de tu hermano no descubrirás; es la desnudez de tu hermano.

17 D o not take the clothes off a woman and her daughter. And do not take the clothes off her son’s daughter or her daughter’s daughter. They are of her own family. It is sin.

La desnudez de la mujer y de su hija no descubrirás; no tomarás la hija de su hijo, ni la hija de su hija, para descubrir su desnudez; son parientas, es maldad.

18 W hile your wife is still living do not marry her sister making her as important to you. Do not take off her sister’s clothes.

No tomarás mujer juntamente con su hermana, para hacerla su rival, descubriendo su desnudez delante de ella en su vida.

19 ‘ And you are not to go near a woman to take off her clothes during the time when she has a flow of blood.

Y no llegarás a la mujer para descubrir su desnudez mientras esté en su impureza menstrual.

20 D o not have sex with your neighbor’s wife. You would be unclean.

Además, no tendrás acto carnal con la mujer de tu prójimo, contaminándote con ella.

21 D o not give any of your children as a gift on an altar to the false god Molech. Do not put the name of your God to shame. I am the Lord.

Y no des hijo tuyo para ofrecerlo por fuego a Moloc; no contamines así el nombre de tu Dios. Yo Jehová.

22 D o not lie with a man as one lies with a woman. It is a sinful thing.

No te echarás con varón como con mujer; es abominación.

23 D o not have sex with any animal, or you will be unclean. And no woman should give herself to an animal to lie with it. It is a sin.

Ni con ningún animal tendrás ayuntamiento amancillándote con él, ni mujer alguna se pondrá delante de animal para ayuntarse con él; es perversión.

24 ‘ Do not allow yourself to sin in any of these ways. For by doing all these things the nations that I am driving out in front of you became unclean.

En ninguna de estas cosas os amancillaréis; pues en todas estas cosas se han corrompido las naciones que yo echo de delante de vosotros,

25 F or the land is unclean. So I have punished its sin. The land has spit out its people.

y la tierra fue contaminada; y yo visité su maldad sobre ella, y la tierra vomitó sus moradores.

26 B ut as for you, you are to keep My Laws and do what I have decided. Do not do any of these sinful things, not you or the man who lives among you from another land.

Guardad, pues, vosotros mis estatutos y mis ordenanzas, y no hagáis ninguna de estas abominaciones, ni el natural ni el extranjero que mora entre vosotros

27 F or the men who have lived in the land before you have done all of these sinful things. The land is unclean.

(porque todas estas abominaciones hicieron los hombres de aquella tierra que fueron antes de vosotros, y la tierra fue contaminada);

28 D o none of these things or the land will spit you out when you make it sinful, as it has spit out the nation that was before you.

no sea que la tierra os vomite por haberla contaminado, como vomitó a la nación que la habitó antes de vosotros.

29 W hoever does any of these sinful things will be cut off from his people.

Porque cualquiera que hiciere alguna de todas estas abominaciones, las personas que las hicieren serán cortadas de entre su pueblo.

30 S o do what I say. Do not do any of these sinful things that were done before you. Do not make yourselves sin by doing them. I am the Lord your God.’”

Guardad, pues, mi ordenanza, no haciendo las costumbres abominables que practicaron antes de vosotros, y no os contaminéis en ellas. Yo Jehová vuestro Dios.
