1 P raise the Lord! For it is good to sing praises to our God. For it is pleasing and praise is right.

Alabad a JAH, Porque es bueno cantar salmos a nuestro Dios; Porque suave y hermosa es la alabanza.

2 T he Lord builds up Jerusalem. He gathers those of Israel who had been taken away.

Jehová edifica a Jerusalén; A los desterrados de Israel recogerá.

3 H e heals those who have a broken heart. He heals their sorrows.

El sana a los quebrantados de corazón, Y venda sus heridas.

4 H e knows the number of the stars. He gives names to all of them.

El cuenta el número de las estrellas; A todas ellas llama por sus nombres.

5 G reat is our Lord, and great in power. His understanding has no end.

Grande es el Señor nuestro, y de mucho poder; Y su entendimiento es infinito.

6 T he Lord lifts up those who are suffering, and He brings the sinful down to the ground.

Jehová exalta a los humildes, Y humilla a los impíos hasta la tierra.

7 S ing to the Lord with thanks. Sing praises to our God on the harp.

Cantad a Jehová con alabanza, Cantad con arpa a nuestro Dios.

8 H e covers the heavens with clouds. He gives rain for the earth. He makes grass grow on the mountains.

El es quien cubre de nubes los cielos, El que prepara la lluvia para la tierra, El que hace a los montes producir hierba.

9 H e gives food to the animals, and to the young ravens that cry.

El da a la bestia su mantenimiento, Y a los hijos de los cuervos que claman.

10 H is joy is not in the strength of a horse. He does not find joy in the legs of a man.

No se deleita en la fuerza del caballo, Ni se complace en la agilidad del hombre.

11 B ut the Lord favors those who fear Him and those who wait for His loving-kindness.

Se complace Jehová en los que le temen, Y en los que esperan en su misericordia.

12 P raise the Lord, O Jerusalem! Praise your God, O Zion!

Alaba a Jehová, Jerusalén; Alaba a tu Dios, oh Sion.

13 F or He has made your gates strong. He has made good come to your children within you.

Porque fortificó los cerrojos de tus puertas; Bendijo a tus hijos dentro de ti.

14 H e makes peace within your walls. He fills you with the best grain.

El da en tu territorio la paz; Te hará saciar con lo mejor del trigo.

15 H e sends His Word to the earth. And His Word runs fast.

El envía su palabra a la tierra; Velozmente corre su palabra.

16 H e gives snow like wool. He spreads ice like ashes.

Da la nieve como lana, Y derrama la escarcha como ceniza.

17 H e throws down His ice as hail stones. Who can stand before His cold?

Echa su hielo como pedazos; Ante su frío, ¿quién resistirá?

18 H e sends out His Word and melts them. He makes His wind blow and the waters flow.

Enviará su palabra, y los derretirá; Soplará su viento, y fluirán las aguas.

19 H e speaks His Word to Jacob, and His Law to Israel.

Ha manifestado sus palabras a Jacob, Sus estatutos y sus juicios a Israel.

20 H e has not done this with any other nation. They do not know His Law. Praise the Lord!

No ha hecho así con ninguna otra de las naciones; Y en cuanto a sus juicios, no los conocieron. Aleluya.
