1 ( 119-1) ^^Песнь восхождения.^^ К Господу воззвал я в скорби моей, и Он услышал меня.

In my distress I cried unto Jehovah, And he answered me.

2 ( 119-2) Господи! избавь душу мою от уст лживых, от языка лукавого.

Deliver my soul, O Jehovah, from lying lips, And from a deceitful tongue.

3 ( 119-3) Что даст тебе и что прибавит тебе язык лукавый?

What shall be given unto thee, and what shall be done more unto thee, Thou deceitful tongue?

4 ( 119-4) Изощренные стрелы сильного, с горящими углями дроковыми.

Sharp arrows of the mighty, With coals of juniper.

5 ( 119-5) Горе мне, что я пребываю у Мосоха, живу у шатров Кидарских.

Woe is me, that I sojourn in Meshech, That I dwell among the tents of Kedar!

6 ( 119-6) Долго жила душа моя с ненавидящими мир.

My soul hath long had her dwelling With him that hateth peace.

7 ( 119-7) Я мирен: но только заговорю, они--к войне.

I am for peace: But when I speak, they are for war.
