The song of songs, which is Solomon's.

2 “ ¡Que me bese con los besos de su boca! Porque mejores son tus amores que el vino.

Let him kiss me with the kisses of his mouth: for thy love is better than wine.

3 T us ungüentos tienen olor agradable, Tu nombre es como ungüento purificado; Por eso te aman las doncellas.

Because of the savour of thy good ointments thy name is as ointment poured forth, therefore do the virgins love thee.

4 L lévame en pos de ti y corramos juntos. El rey me ha llevado a sus cámaras.” EL CORO: “Nos regocijaremos y nos alegraremos en ti, Exaltaremos tu amor más que el vino. Con razón te aman.” LA ESPOSA:

Draw me, we will run after thee: the king hath brought me into his chambers: we will be glad and rejoice in thee, we will remember thy love more than wine: the upright love thee.

5 “ Soy morena pero preciosa, Oh hijas de Jerusalén, Como las tiendas de Cedar, Como las cortinas de Salomón.

I am black, but comely, O ye daughters of Jerusalem, as the tents of Kedar, as the curtains of Solomon.

6 N o se fijen en que soy morena, Porque el sol me ha quemado. Los hijos de mi madre se enojaron conmigo; Me pusieron a guardar las viñas, Pero mi propia viña no guardé.

Look not upon me, because I am black, because the sun hath looked upon me: my mother's children were angry with me; they made me the keeper of the vineyards; but mine own vineyard have I not kept.

7 D ime, amado de mi alma: ¿Dónde apacientas tu rebaño ? ¿Dónde lo haces descansar al mediodía? ¿Por qué he de ser yo como una que se cubre con velo Junto a los rebaños de tus compañeros ?” EL CORO:

Tell me, O thou whom my soul loveth, where thou feedest, where thou makest thy flock to rest at noon: for why should I be as one that turneth aside by the flocks of thy companions?

8 “ Si tú no lo sabes, ¡Oh la más hermosa de las mujeres!, Sal tras las huellas del rebaño, Y apacienta tus cabritas Junto a las cabañas de los pastores.” Diálogo entre los Esposos EL ESPOSO:

If thou know not, O thou fairest among women, go thy way forth by the footsteps of the flock, and feed thy kids beside the shepherds' tents.

9 “ A mi yegua, entre los carros de Faraón, Yo te comparo, amada mía.

I have compared thee, O my love, to a company of horses in Pharaoh's chariots.

10 H ermosas son tus mejillas entre los adornos, Tu cuello entre los collares.” EL CORO:

Thy cheeks are comely with rows of jewels, thy neck with chains of gold.

11 “ Haremos para ti adornos de oro Con cuentas de plata.” LA ESPOSA:

We will make thee borders of gold with studs of silver.

12 “ Mientras el rey estaba a la mesa, Mi perfume esparció su fragancia.

While the king sitteth at his table, my spikenard sendeth forth the smell thereof.

13 M i amado es para mí como bolsita de mirra Que reposa toda la noche entre mis pechos.

A bundle of myrrh is my well-beloved unto me; he shall lie all night betwixt my breasts.

14 R amillete de flores de alheña es mi amado para mí En las viñas de En Gadi.” EL ESPOSO:

My beloved is unto me as a cluster of camphire in the vineyards of Engedi.

15 “ ¡Cuán hermosa eres, amada mía, Cuán hermosa eres! Tus ojos son como palomas.” LA ESPOSA:

Behold, thou art fair, my love; behold, thou art fair; thou hast doves' eyes.

16 “ ¡Cuán hermoso eres, amado mío, Y tan placentero! Ciertamente nuestro lecho es de exuberante verdor.

Behold, thou art fair, my beloved, yea, pleasant: also our bed is green.

17 L as vigas de nuestras casas son cedros, Nuestros artesonados, cipreses.”

The beams of our house are cedar, and our rafters of fir.
