1 V isión que tuvo Isaías, hijo de Amoz, con relación a Judá y Jerusalén, en los días de Uzías, Jotam, Acaz y Ezequías, reyes de Judá.

The vision of Isaiah the son of Amoz, which he saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem in the days of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah.

2 O igan, cielos, y escucha, tierra, Porque el Señor habla: “Hijos crié y los hice crecer, Pero ellos se han rebelado contra Mí.

Hear, O heavens, and give ear, O earth: for the Lord hath spoken, I have nourished and brought up children, and they have rebelled against me.

3 E l buey conoce a su dueño Y el asno el pesebre de su amo; Pero Israel no conoce, Mi pueblo no tiene entendimiento.”

The ox knoweth his owner, and the ass his master's crib: but Israel doth not know, my people doth not consider.

4 ¡ Ay, nación pecadora, Pueblo cargado de iniquidad, Generación de malvados, Hijos corrompidos! Han abandonado al Señor, Han despreciado al Santo de Israel, Se han apartado de El.

Ah sinful nation, a people laden with iniquity, a seed of evildoers, children that are corrupters: they have forsaken the Lord, they have provoked the Holy One of Israel unto anger, they are gone away backward.

5 ¿ Dónde más serán castigados? ¿Continuarán en rebelión ? Toda cabeza está enferma, Y todo corazón desfallecido.

Why should ye be stricken any more? ye will revolt more and more: the whole head is sick, and the whole heart faint.

6 D esde la planta del pie hasta la cabeza No hay nada sano en él, Sino golpes, verdugones y heridas recientes; No han sido curadas, ni vendadas, Ni suavizadas con aceite.

From the sole of the foot even unto the head there is no soundness in it; but wounds, and bruises, and putrifying sores: they have not been closed, neither bound up, neither mollified with ointment.

7 L a tierra de ustedes está desolada, Sus ciudades quemadas por el fuego, Su suelo lo devoran los extraños delante de ustedes, Y es una desolación, como destruida por extraños.

Your country is desolate, your cities are burned with fire: your land, strangers devour it in your presence, and it is desolate, as overthrown by strangers.

8 L a hija de Sion ha quedado como cobertizo en una viña, Como choza en un pepinar, como ciudad sitiada.

And the daughter of Zion is left as a cottage in a vineyard, as a lodge in a garden of cucumbers, as a besieged city.

9 S i el Señor de los ejércitos No nos hubiera dejado algunos sobrevivientes, Seríamos como Sodoma, Y semejantes a Gomorra.

Except the Lord of hosts had left unto us a very small remnant, we should have been as Sodom, and we should have been like unto Gomorrah.

10 O igan la palabra del Señor, Gobernantes de Sodoma. Escuchen la instrucción de nuestro Dios, Pueblo de Gomorra:

Hear the word of the Lord, ye rulers of Sodom; give ear unto the law of our God, ye people of Gomorrah.

11 “ ¿Qué es para Mí la abundancia de sus sacrificios?” Dice el Señor. “Cansado estoy de holocaustos de carneros, Y de sebo de ganado cebado; La sangre de novillos, corderos y machos cabríos no me complace.

To what purpose is the multitude of your sacrifices unto me? saith the Lord: I am full of the burnt offerings of rams, and the fat of fed beasts; and I delight not in the blood of bullocks, or of lambs, or of he goats.

12 C uando vienen a presentarse delante de Mí, ¿Quién demanda esto de ustedes, de que pisoteen Mis atrios?

When ye come to appear before me, who hath required this at your hand, to tread my courts?

13 N o traigan más sus vanas ofrendas, El incienso Me es abominación. Luna nueva y día de reposo, el convocar asambleas: ¡No tolero iniquidad y asamblea solemne!

Bring no more vain oblations; incense is an abomination unto me; the new moons and sabbaths, the calling of assemblies, I cannot away with; it is iniquity, even the solemn meeting.

14 S us lunas nuevas y sus fiestas señaladas las aborrece Mi alma. Se han vuelto una carga para Mí, Estoy cansado de soportar las.

Your new moons and your appointed feasts my soul hateth: they are a trouble unto me; I am weary to bear them.

15 C uando extiendan sus manos, Esconderé Mis ojos de ustedes. Sí, aunque multipliquen las oraciones, No escucharé. Sus manos están llenas de sangre.

And when ye spread forth your hands, I will hide mine eyes from you: yea, when ye make many prayers, I will not hear: your hands are full of blood.

16 L ávense, límpiense, Quiten la maldad de sus obras de delante de Mis ojos. Cesen de hacer el mal.

Wash you, make you clean; put away the evil of your doings from before mine eyes; cease to do evil;

17 A prendan a hacer el bien, Busquen la justicia, Reprendan al opresor, Defiendan al huérfano, Aboguen por la viuda.

Learn to do well; seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow.

18 V engan ahora, y razonemos,” Dice el Señor, “Aunque sus pecados sean como la grana, Como la nieve serán emblanquecidos. Aunque sean rojos como el carmesí, Como blanca lana quedarán.

Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.

19 S i ustedes quieren y obedecen, Comerán lo mejor de la tierra.

If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:

20 P ero si rehúsan y se rebelan, Por la espada serán devorados.” Ciertamente, la boca del Señor ha hablado.

But if ye refuse and rebel, ye shall be devoured with the sword: for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it.

21 ¡ Cómo se ha convertido en ramera la ciudad fiel, La que estaba llena de justicia! Moraba en ella la rectitud, Pero ahora, asesinos.

How is the faithful city become an harlot! it was full of judgment; righteousness lodged in it; but now murderers.

22 T u plata se ha vuelto escoria, Tu vino está mezclado con agua.

Thy silver is become dross, thy wine mixed with water:

23 T us gobernantes son rebeldes Y compañeros de ladrones; Cada uno ama el soborno Y corre tras las dádivas. No defienden al huérfano, Ni llega a ellos la causa de la viuda. Juicio y Redención de Jerusalén

Thy princes are rebellious, and companions of thieves: every one loveth gifts, and followeth after rewards: they judge not the fatherless, neither doth the cause of the widow come unto them.

24 P or tanto, declara el Señor, Dios de los ejércitos, El Poderoso de Israel: “¡Ah!, me libraré de Mis adversarios, Y me vengaré de Mis enemigos.

Therefore saith the Lord, the Lord of hosts, the mighty One of Israel, Ah, I will ease me of mine adversaries, and avenge me of mine enemies:

25 T ambién volveré Mi mano contra ti, Te limpiaré de tu escoria como con lejía, Y quitaré toda tu impureza.

And I will turn my hand upon thee, and purely purge away thy dross, and take away all thy tin:

26 E ntonces restauraré tus jueces como al principio, Y tus consejeros como al comienzo. Después de lo cual serás llamada Ciudad de Justicia, Ciudad Fiel.”

And I will restore thy judges as at the first, and thy counsellors as at the beginning: afterward thou shalt be called, The city of righteousness, the faithful city.

27 S ion será redimida con juicio, Y sus arrepentidos (los que regresan) con justicia.

Zion shall be redeemed with judgment, and her converts with righteousness.

28 P ero los transgresores y los pecadores serán aplastados a una, Y los que abandonan al Señor perecerán.

And the destruction of the transgressors and of the sinners shall be together, and they that forsake the Lord shall be consumed.

29 C iertamente ustedes se avergonzarán de las encinas que han deseado, Y se avergonzarán de los jardines que han escogido.

For they shall be ashamed of the oaks which ye have desired, and ye shall be confounded for the gardens that ye have chosen.

30 P orque ustedes serán como encina cuya hoja está marchita, Y como jardín en que no hay agua.

For ye shall be as an oak whose leaf fadeth, and as a garden that hath no water.

31 E l fuerte se convertirá en estopa, Y su trabajo en chispa. Arderán ambos a una, Y no habrá quien los apague.

And the strong shall be as tow, and the maker of it as a spark, and they shall both burn together, and none shall quench them.
