1 P or tanto, puesto que tenemos este ministerio, según hemos recibido misericordia, no desfallecemos.

Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not;

2 M ás bien hemos renunciado a lo oculto y vergonzoso, no andando con astucia, ni adulterando la palabra de Dios, sino que, mediante la manifestación de la verdad, nos recomendamos a la conciencia de todo hombre en la presencia de Dios.

But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God.

3 Y si todavía nuestro evangelio está velado, para los que se pierden está velado,

But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:

4 e n los cuales el dios de este mundo ha cegado el entendimiento (la mente) de los incrédulos, para que no vean el resplandor del evangelio de la gloria de Cristo, que es la imagen de Dios.

In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

5 P orque no nos predicamos a nosotros mismos, sino a Cristo Jesús como Señor, y a nosotros como siervos de ustedes por amor de Jesús.

For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake.

6 P ues Dios, que dijo: “De las tinieblas resplandecerá la luz,” es el que ha resplandecido en nuestros corazones, para iluminación del conocimiento de la gloria de Dios en el rostro de Cristo.

For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

7 P ero tenemos este tesoro en vasos de barro, para que la extraordinaria grandeza del poder sea de Dios y no de nosotros.

But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.

8 A fligidos en todo, pero no agobiados; perplejos, pero no desesperados;

We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair;

9 p erseguidos, pero no abandonados; derribados, pero no destruidos.

Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed;

10 L levamos siempre en el cuerpo por todas partes la muerte de Jesús, para que también la vida de Jesús se manifieste en nuestro cuerpo.

Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body.

11 P orque nosotros que vivimos, constantemente estamos siendo entregados a muerte por causa de Jesús, para que también la vida de Jesús se manifieste en nuestro cuerpo mortal.

For we which live are always delivered unto death for Jesus' sake, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh.

12 A sí que en nosotros obra la muerte, pero en ustedes, la vida.

So then death worketh in us, but life in you.

13 P ero teniendo el mismo espíritu de fe, según lo que está escrito: “ Crei, por tanto hable,” nosotros también creemos, por lo cual también hablamos,

We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak;

14 s abiendo que Aquél que resucitó al Señor Jesús, a nosotros también nos resucitará con Jesús, y nos presentará junto con ustedes.

Knowing that he which raised up the Lord Jesus shall raise up us also by Jesus, and shall present us with you.

15 P orque todo esto es por amor a ustedes, para que la gracia que se está extendiendo por medio de muchos, haga que las acciones de gracias abunden para la gloria de Dios. Lo temporal y lo Eterno

For all things are for your sakes, that the abundant grace might through the thanksgiving of many redound to the glory of God.

16 P or tanto no desfallecemos, antes bien, aunque nuestro hombre exterior va decayendo, sin embargo nuestro hombre interior se renueva de día en día.

For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.

17 P ues esta aflicción leve y pasajera nos produce un eterno peso de gloria que sobrepasa toda comparación,

For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;

18 a l no poner nuestra vista en las cosas que se ven, sino en las que no se ven. Porque las cosas que se ven son temporales, pero las que no se ven son eternas.

While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.
