I lift up mine eyes unto the mountains: whence shall my help come?

2 L e secours me vient de l'Éternel, Qui a fait les cieux et la terre.

My help from Jehovah, who made the heavens and the earth.

3 I l ne permettra point que ton pied chancelle; Celui qui te garde ne sommeillera point.

He will not suffer thy foot to be moved; he that keepeth thee will not slumber.

4 V oici, il ne sommeille ni ne dort, Celui qui garde Israël.

Behold, he that keepeth Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.

5 L 'Éternel est celui qui te garde, L'Éternel est ton ombre à ta main droite.

Jehovah is thy keeper, Jehovah is thy shade upon thy right hand;

6 P endant le jour le soleil ne te frappera point, Ni la lune pendant la nuit.

The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night.

7 L 'Éternel te gardera de tout mal, Il gardera ton âme;

Jehovah will keep thee from all evil; he will keep thy soul.

8 L 'Éternel gardera ton départ et ton arrivée, Dès maintenant et à jamais.

Jehovah will keep thy going out and thy coming in, from henceforth and for evermore.
