1 A nd they brought in the ark of God, and set it in the midst of the tent that David had pitched for it: and they offered burnt-offerings and peace-offerings before God.

Kështu e prunë arkën e Perëndisë dhe e vendosën në mes të tabernakullit që Davidi kishte ngritur për të; pastaj ofruan olokauste dhe flijime falenderimi përpara Perëndisë.

2 A nd when David had made an end of offering the burnt-offering and the peace-offerings, he blessed the people in the name of Jehovah.

Kur Davidi mbaroi së ofruari olokaustet dhe flijimet e falenderimit, ai bekoi popullin në emër të Zotit;

3 A nd he dealt to every one of Israel, both man and woman, to every one a loaf of bread, and a portion of flesh, and a cake of raisins.

pastaj u ndau tërë Izraelitëve, burra dhe gra, secilit prej tyre një bukë, një racion mish dhe një sasi rrushi të thatë.

4 A nd he appointed certain of the Levites to minister before the ark of Jehovah, and to celebrate and to thank and praise Jehovah, the God of Israel:

Pastaj vendosi përpara arkës të Zotit disa Levitë për të kryer shërbimin për të kujtuar, për të falenderuar dhe për të lëvduar Zotin, Perëndinë e Izraelit;

5 A saph the chief, and second to him Zechariah, Jeiel, and Shemiramoth, and Jehiel, and Mattithiah, and Eliab, and Benaiah, and Obed-edom, and Jeiel, with psalteries and with harps; and Asaph with cymbals, sounding aloud;

Asafi, i pari, Zakaria i dyti mbas tij, pastaj Jeieli, Shemiramothi, Jehieli, Matithiahu, Eliabi, Benajahu, Obed-Edomi dhe Jejeli. Ata u binin harpave dhe qesteve, ndërsa Asafi u binte cembaleve.

6 a nd Benaiah and Jahaziel the priests with trumpets continually, before the ark of the covenant of God.

Priftërinjtë Benajah dhe Jahaziel përkundrazi i binin trombës vazhdimisht përpara arkës së besëlidhjes së Perëndisë.

7 T hen on that day did David first ordain to give thanks unto Jehovah, by the hand of Asaph and his brethren.

Atë ditë Davidi u besoi për herë të parë Asafit dhe vëllezërve të tij detyrën që të këndonin lëvdata Zotit.

8 O give thanks unto Jehovah, call upon his name; Make known his doings among the peoples.

Kremtoni Zotin, kujtoni emrin e tij; bëjini të njohura veprat e tij midis popujve.

9 S ing unto him, sing praises unto him; Talk ye of all his marvellous works.

Këndojini atij, lëvdoheni, mendoni të gjitha mrekullitë e tij.

10 G lory ye in his holy name; Let the heart of them rejoice that seek Jehovah.

Lëvdohuni me emrin e tij të shenjtë; u gëzofshin zemrat e të gjithë atyre që kërkojnë Zotin!

11 S eek ye Jehovah and his strength; Seek his face evermore.

Kërkoni Zotin dhe forcën e tij, kërkoni vazhdimisht fytyrën e tij!

12 R emember his marvellous works that he hath done, His wonders, and the judgments of his mouth,

Kujtoni mrekullitë që ka bërë, çuditë e tij dhe gjykimet që kanë dalë nga goja e tij,

13 O ye seed of Israel his servant, Ye children of Jacob, his chosen ones.

ju, o stermpa të Izraelit, shërbëtorit të tij, o bij të Jakobit, të zgjedhurit e tij!

14 H e is Jehovah our God; His judgments are in all the earth.

Ai është Zoti, Perëndia ynë; gjykimet e tij i gjejmë mbi të gjithë tokën.

15 R emember his covenant for ever, The word which he commanded to a thousand generations,

Mos harroni kurrë besëlidhjen e tij, fjalën e tij të urdhëruar për një mijë breza,

16 T he covenant which he made with Abraham, And his oath unto Isaac,

besëlidhjen e lidhur me Abrahamin, betimin që i ka bërë Isakut,

17 A nd confirmed the same unto Jacob for a statute, To Israel for an everlasting covenant,

që ia konfirmoi Jakobit si një statut dhe Izraelit si një besëlidhje të përjetshme,

18 S aying, Unto thee will I give the land of Canaan, The lot of your inheritance;

duke thënë: "Unë do t’ju jap vendin e Kanaanit si pjesë e trashëgimisë suaj".

19 W hen ye were but a few men in number, Yea, very few, and sojourners in it;

kur nuk ishin veçse një numër i vogël, fare i pakët dhe të huaj në vend.

20 A nd they went about from nation to nation, And from one kingdom to another people.

Kur shkonin nga një komb në një tjetër, nga një mbretëri në një popull tjetër,

21 H e suffered no man to do them wrong; Yea, he reproved kings for their sakes,

ai nuk lejoi që ndokush t’i shtypte; përkundrazi dënoi disa mbretër për dashurinë që ushqente për ta,

22 S aying, Touch not mine anointed ones, And do my prophets no harm.

duke thënë: "Mos prekni të vajosurit e mi dhe mos u bëni asnjë të keqe profetëve të mi".

23 S ing unto Jehovah, all the earth; Show forth his salvation from day to day.

Këndojini Zotit, o banorë të të gjithë tokës, lajmëroni çdo ditë shpëtimin e tij!

24 D eclare his glory among the nations, His marvellous works among all the peoples.

Shpallni lavdinë e tij midis kombeve dhe mrekullitë e tij midis tërë popujve!

25 F or great is Jehovah, and greatly to be praised: He also is to be feared above all gods.

Sepse Zoti është i madh dhe i denjë të lëvdohet në kulm; ai është me friksuësi nga tërë perënditë.

26 F or all the gods of the peoples are idols: But Jehovah made the heavens.

Sepse tërë perënditë e kombeve janë idhuj, kurse Zoti ka krijuar qiejtë.

27 H onor and majesty are before him: Strength and gladness are in his place.

Shkëlqimi dhe madhëria janë para tij, forca dhe gëzimi ndodhen në banesën e tij.

28 A scribe unto Jehovah, ye kindreds of the peoples, Ascribe unto Jehovah glory and strength;

Jepini Zotit, o familje të popujve, jepini Zotit lavdi dhe forcë.

29 A scribe unto Jehovah the glory due unto his name: Bring an offering, and come before him: Worship Jehovah in holy array.

Jepini Zotit zulmin që i takon emrit të tij, çojini oferta dhe ejani para tij. Bini përmbys para Zotit në shkëlqimin e shenjtërisë së tij;

30 T remble before him, all the earth: The world also is established that it cannot be moved.

dridhuni para tij, o banorë të të gjithë tokës! Po, bota është e qëndrueshme dhe nuk do të tundet.

31 L et the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice; And let them say among the nations, Jehovah reigneth.

Le të gëzohen qiejtë dhe toka, dhe le të thonë kombet: "Zoti mbretëron".

32 L et the sea roar, and the fulness thereof; Let the field exult, and all that is therein;

Le të gjëmojë deti dhe tërë ato që janë në të;

33 T hen shall the trees of the wood sing for joy before Jehovah; For he cometh to judge the earth.

atëherë tërë drurët e pyllit do të lëshojnë britma gëzimi përpara Zotit, sepse ai vjen të gjykojë tokën.

34 O give thanks unto Jehovah; for he is good; For his lovingkindness endureth for ever.

Kremtoni Zotin, sepse ai është i mirë, sepse mirësia e tij vazhdon përjetë.

35 A nd say ye, Save us, O God of our salvation, And gather us together and deliver us from the nations, To give thanks unto thy holy name, And to triumph in thy praise.

Thoni: "Shpëtona, o Perëndi i shpëtimit tonë! Na mblidh dhe na çliro nga kombet, me qëllim që të kremtojmë emrin tënd të shenjtë dhe të mburremi se të kemi lëvduar".

36 B lessed be Jehovah, the God of Israel, From everlasting even to everlasting. And all the people said, Amen, and praised Jehovah.

I bekuar qoftë Zoti, Perëndia i Izraelit, nga amshimi në amshim! Dhe tërë populli tha: "Amen," dhe lëvdoi Zotin.

37 S o he left there, before the ark of the covenant of Jehovah, Asaph and his brethren, to minister before the ark continually, as every day's work required;

Kështu Davidi la Asafin dhe vëllezërit e tij atje përpara arkës së besëlidhjes të Zotit, me qëllim që të shërbenin vazhdimisht përpara arkës, sipas nevojave të çdo dite,

38 a nd Obed-edom with their brethren, threescore and eight; Obed-edom also the son of Jeduthun and Hosah to be doorkeepers;

la edhe Obed-Edomin dhe të gjashtëdhjetë e tetë vëllezërit e tij (Obed-Edomi, bir i Jeduthunit dhe Hosahu si derëtarë),

39 a nd Zadok the priest, and his brethren the priests, before the tabernacle of Jehovah in the high place that was at Gibeon,

dhe priftin Tsadok dhe priftërinjtë vëllezër të tij përpara tabernakullit të Zotit, në vendin e lartë që ishte në Gabaon,

40 t o offer burnt-offerings unto Jehovah upon the altar of burnt-offering continually morning and evening, even according to all that is written in the law of Jehovah, which he commanded unto Israel;

me qëllim që ata t’i ofronin Zotit olokauste mbi altarin e olokausteve, vazhdimisht në mëngjes e në mbrëmje, sipas tërë atyre që janë shkruar në ligjin e Zotit, që ai ia kishte imponuar Izraelit.

41 a nd with them Heman and Jeduthun, and the rest that were chosen, who were mentioned by name, to give thanks to Jehovah, because his lovingkindness endureth for ever;

Dhe me ta ishin Hemani, Jeduthuni dhe të tjerët që ishin zgjedhur dhe caktuar me emër për të lëvduar Zotin, sepse mirësia e tij është e përjetshme.

42 a nd with them Heman and Jeduthun with trumpets and cymbals for those that should sound aloud, and with instruments for the songs of God; and the sons of Jeduthun to be at the gate.

Me ta ishin gjithashtu Hemani dhe Jeduthuni me bori dhe cembale, për ata që do t’u binin veglave, dhe me vegla muzikore për të shoqëruar këngët e Perëndisë. Bijtë e Jeduthunit duhet të rrinin te porta.

43 A nd all the people departed every man to his house: and David returned to bless his house.

Më në fund tërë populli u kthye, secili në shtëpinë e vet, dhe Davidi u kthye për të bekuar shtëpinë e vet.
