1 Y ACONTECIO después de la mortandad, que Jehová habló á Moisés, y á Eleazar hijo del sacerdote Aarón, diciendo:

And it came to pass, after the plague, that the Lord spoke to Moses and Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest, saying:

2 T omad la suma de toda la congregación de los hijos de Israel, de veinte años arriba, por las casas de sus padres, todos los que puedan salir á la guerra en Israel.

“Take a census of all the congregation of the children of Israel from twenty years old and above, by their fathers’ houses, all who are able to go to war in Israel.”

3 Y Moisés y Eleazar el sacerdote hablaron con ellos en los campos de Moab, junto al Jordán de Jericó, diciendo:

So Moses and Eleazar the priest spoke with them in the plains of Moab by the Jordan, across from Jericho, saying:

4 C ontaréis el pueblo de veinte años arriba, como mandó Jehová á Moisés y á los hijos de Israel, que habían salido de tierra de Egipto.

“ Take a census of the people from twenty years old and above, just as the Lord commanded Moses and the children of Israel who came out of the land of Egypt.”

5 R ubén primogénito de Israel: los hijos de Rubén: Hanoc, del cual era la familia de los Hanochîtas; de Phallú, la familia de los Phalluitas;

Reuben was the firstborn of Israel. The children of Reuben were: of Hanoch, the family of the Hanochites; of Pallu, the family of the Palluites;

6 D e Hesrón, la familia de los Hesronitas; de Carmi, la familia de los Carmitas.

of Hezron, the family of the Hezronites; of Carmi, the family of the Carmites.

7 E stas son las familias de los Rubenitas: y sus contados fueron cuarenta y tres mil setecientos y treinta.

These are the families of the Reubenites: those who were numbered of them were forty-three thousand seven hundred and thirty.

8 Y los hijos de Phallú: Eliab.

And the son of Pallu was Eliab.

9 Y los hijos de Eliab: Nemuel, y Dathán, y Abiram. Estos Dathán y Abiram fueron los del consejo de la congregación, que hicieron el motín contra Moisés y Aarón con la compañía de Coré, cuando se amotinaron contra Jehová.

The sons of Eliab were Nemuel, Dathan, and Abiram. These are the Dathan and Abiram, representatives of the congregation, who contended against Moses and Aaron in the company of Korah, when they contended against the Lord;

10 Q ue la tierra abrió su boca y tragó á ellos y á Coré, cuando aquella compañía murió, cuando consumió el fuego doscientos y cincuenta varones, los cuales fueron por señal.

and the earth opened its mouth and swallowed them up together with Korah when that company died, when the fire devoured two hundred and fifty men; and they became a sign.

11 M as los hijos de Coré no murieron.

Nevertheless the children of Korah did not die.

12 L os hijos de Simeón por sus familias: de Nemuel, la familia de los Nemuelitas; de Jamín, la familia de los Jaminitas; de Jachîn, la familia de los Jachînitas;

The sons of Simeon according to their families were: of Nemuel, the family of the Nemuelites; of Jamin, the family of the Jaminites; of Jachin, the family of the Jachinites;

13 D e Zera, la familia de los Zeraitas; de Saul, la familia de los Saulitas.

of Zerah, the family of the Zarhites; of Shaul, the family of the Shaulites.

14 E stas son las familias de los Simeonitas, veinte y dos mil y doscientos.

These are the families of the Simeonites: twenty-two thousand two hundred.

15 L os hijos de Gad por sus familias: de Zephón, la familia de los Zephonitas; de Aggi, la familia de los Aggitas; de Suni, la familia de los Sunitas;

The sons of Gad according to their families were: of Zephon, the family of the Zephonites; of Haggi, the family of the Haggites; of Shuni, the family of the Shunites;

16 D e Ozni, la familia de los Oznitas; de Eri, la familia de los Eritas;

of Ozni, the family of the Oznites; of Eri, the family of the Erites;

17 D e Aroz, la familia de los Aroditas; de Areli, la familia de los Arelitas.

of Arod, the family of the Arodites; of Areli, the family of the Arelites.

18 E stas son las familias de Gad, por sus contados, cuarenta mil y quinientos.

These are the families of the sons of Gad according to those who were numbered of them: forty thousand five hundred.

19 L os hijos de Judá: Er y Onán; y Er y Onán murieron en la tierra de Canaán.

The sons of Judah were Er and Onan; and Er and Onan died in the land of Canaan.

20 Y fueron los hijos de Judá por sus familias: de Sela, la familia de los Selaitas; de Phares, la familia de los Pharesitas; de Zera, la familia de los Zeraitas.

And the sons of Judah according to their families were: of Shelah, the family of the Shelanites; of Perez, the family of the Parzites; of Zerah, the family of the Zarhites.

21 Y fueron los hijos de Phares: de Hesrón, la familia de los Hesronitas; de Hamul, la familia de los Hamulitas.

And the sons of Perez were: of Hezron, the family of the Hezronites; of Hamul, the family of the Hamulites.

22 E stas son las familias de Judá, por sus contados, setenta y seis mil y quinientos.

These are the families of Judah according to those who were numbered of them: seventy-six thousand five hundred.

23 L os hijos de Issachâr por sus familias: de Thola, la familia de los Tholaitas; de Puá la familia de los Puanitas;

The sons of Issachar according to their families were: of Tola, the family of the Tolaites; of Puah, the family of the Punites;

24 D e Jasub, la familia de los Jasubitas; de Simron, la familia de los Simronitas.

of Jashub, the family of the Jashubites; of Shimron, the family of the Shimronites.

25 E stas son las familias de Issachâr, por sus contados, sesenta y cuatro mil y trescientos.

These are the families of Issachar according to those who were numbered of them: sixty-four thousand three hundred.

26 L os hijos de Zabulón por sus familias: de Sered, la familia de los Sereditas; de Elón, la familia de los Elonitas; de Jalel, la familia de los Jalelitas.

The sons of Zebulun according to their families were: of Sered, the family of the Sardites; of Elon, the family of the Elonites; of Jahleel, the family of the Jahleelites.

27 E stas son las familias de los Zabulonitas, por sus contados, sesenta mil y quinientos.

These are the families of the Zebulunites according to those who were numbered of them: sixty thousand five hundred.

28 L os hijos de José por sus familias: Manasés y Ephraim.

The sons of Joseph according to their families, by Manasseh and Ephraim, were:

29 L os hijos de Manasés: de Machîr, la familia de los Machîritas; y Machîr engendró á Galaad; de Galaad, la familia de los Galaaditas.

The sons of Manasseh: of Machir, the family of the Machirites; and Machir begot Gilead; of Gilead, the family of the Gileadites.

30 E stos son los hijos de Galaad: de Jezer, la familia de los Jezeritas; de Helec, la familia de los Helecitas;

These are the sons of Gilead: of Jeezer, the family of the Jeezerites; of Helek, the family of the Helekites;

31 D e Asriel, la familia de los Asrielitas: de Sechêm, la familia de los Sechêmitas;

of Asriel, the family of the Asrielites; of Shechem, the family of the Shechemites;

32 D e Semida, la familia de los Semidaitas; de Hepher, la familia de los Hepheritas.

of Shemida, the family of the Shemidaites; of Hepher, the family of the Hepherites.

33 Y Salphaad, hijo de Hepher, no tuvo hijos sino hijas: y los nombres de las hijas de Salphaad fueron Maala, y Noa, y Hogla, y Milca, y Tirsa.

Now Zelophehad the son of Hepher had no sons, but daughters; and the names of the daughters of Zelophehad were Mahlah, Noah, Hoglah, Milcah, and Tirzah.

34 E stas son las familias de Manasés; y sus contados, cincuenta y dos mil y setecientos.

These are the families of Manasseh; and those who were numbered of them were fifty-two thousand seven hundred.

35 E stos son los hijos de Ephraim por sus familias: de Suthala, la familia de los Suthalaitas; de Bechêr, la familia de los Bechêritas; de Tahan, la familia de los Tahanitas.

These are the sons of Ephraim according to their families: of Shuthelah, the family of the Shuthalhites; of Becher, the family of the Bachrites; of Tahan, the family of the Tahanites.

36 Y estos son los hijos de Suthala: de Herán, la familia de los Heranitas.

And these are the sons of Shuthelah: of Eran, the family of the Eranites.

37 E stas son las familias de los hijos de Ephraim, por sus contados, treinta y dos mil y quinientos. Estos son los hijos de José por sus familias.

These are the families of the sons of Ephraim according to those who were numbered of them: thirty-two thousand five hundred. These are the sons of Joseph according to their families.

38 L os hijos de Benjamín por sus familias: de Bela, la familia de los Belaitas; de Asbel, la familia de los Asbelitas; de Achîram, la familia de los Achîramitas;

The sons of Benjamin according to their families were: of Bela, the family of the Belaites; of Ashbel, the family of the Ashbelites; of Ahiram, the family of the Ahiramites;

39 D e Supham, la familia de los Suphamitas; de Hupham, la familia de los Huphamitas.

of Shupham, the family of the Shuphamites; of Hupham, the family of the Huphamites.

40 Y los hijos de Bela fueron Ard y Naamán: de Ard, la familia de los Arditas; de Naamán, la familia de los Naamanitas.

And the sons of Bela were Ard and Naaman: of Ard, the family of the Ardites; of Naaman, the family of the Naamites.

41 E stos son los hijos de Benjamín por sus familias; y sus contados, cuarenta y cinco mil y seiscientos.

These are the sons of Benjamin according to their families; and those who were numbered of them were forty-five thousand six hundred.

42 E stos son los hijos de Dan por sus familias: de Suham, la familia de los Suhamitas. Estas son las familias de Dan por sus familias.

These are the sons of Dan according to their families: of Shuham, the family of the Shuhamites. These are the families of Dan according to their families.

43 T odas las familias de los Suhamitas, por sus contados, sesenta y cuatro mil y cuatrocientos.

All the families of the Shuhamites, according to those who were numbered of them, were sixty-four thousand four hundred.

44 L os hijos de Aser por sus familias: de Imna, la familia de los Imnaitas; de Issui, la familia de los Issuitas; de Beria, la familia de los Beriaitas.

The sons of Asher according to their families were: of Jimna, the family of the Jimnites; of Jesui, the family of the Jesuites; of Beriah, the family of the Beriites.

45 L os hijos de Beria: de Heber, la familia de los Heberitas; de Malchîel, la familia de los Malchîelitas.

Of the sons of Beriah: of Heber, the family of the Heberites; of Malchiel, the family of the Malchielites.

46 Y el nombre de la hija de Aser fué Sera.

And the name of the daughter of Asher was Serah.

47 E stas son las familias de los hijos de Aser, por sus contados, cincuenta y tres mil y cuatrocientos.

These are the families of the sons of Asher according to those who were numbered of them: fifty-three thousand four hundred.

48 L os hijos de Nephtalí por sus familias: de Jahzeel, la familia de los Jahzeelitas; de Guni, la familia de los Gunitas;

The sons of Naphtali according to their families were: of Jahzeel, the family of the Jahzeelites; of Guni, the family of the Gunites;

49 D e Jeser, la familia de los Jeseritas; de Sillem, la familia de los Sillemitas.

of Jezer, the family of the Jezerites; of Shillem, the family of the Shillemites.

50 E stas son las familias de Nephtalí por sus familias; y sus contados, cuarenta y cinco mil y cuatrocientos.

These are the families of Naphtali according to their families; and those who were numbered of them were forty-five thousand four hundred.

51 E stos son los contados de los hijos de Israel, seiscientos y un mil setecientos y treinta.

These are those who were numbered of the children of Israel: six hundred and one thousand seven hundred and thirty.

52 Y habló Jehová á Moisés, diciendo:

Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:

53 A estos se repartirá la tierra en heredad, por la cuenta de los nombres.

“To these the land shall be divided as an inheritance, according to the number of names.

54 A los más darás mayor heredad, y á los menos menor; y á cada uno se le dará su heredad conforme á sus contados.

To a large tribe you shall give a larger inheritance, and to a small tribe you shall give a smaller inheritance. Each shall be given its inheritance according to those who were numbered of them.

55 E mpero la tierra será repartida por suerte; y por los nombres de las tribus de sus padres heredarán.

But the land shall be divided by lot; they shall inherit according to the names of the tribes of their fathers.

56 C onforme á la suerte será repartida su heredad entre el grande y el pequeño.

According to the lot their inheritance shall be divided between the larger and the smaller.”

57 Y los contados de los Levitas por sus familias son estos: de Gersón, la familia de los Gersonitas; de Coath, la familia de los Coathitas; de Merari, la familia de los Meraritas.

And these are those who were numbered of the Levites according to their families: of Gershon, the family of the Gershonites; of Kohath, the family of the Kohathites; of Merari, the family of the Merarites.

58 E stas son las familias de los Levitas: la familia de los Libnitas, la familia de los Hebronitas, la familia de los Mahalitas, la familia de los Musitas, la familia de los Coritas. Y Coath engendró á Amram.

These are the families of the Levites: the family of the Libnites, the family of the Hebronites, the family of the Mahlites, the family of the Mushites, and the family of the Korathites. And Kohath begot Amram.

59 Y la mujer de Amram se llamó Jochâbed, hija de Leví, la cual nació á Leví en Egipto: ésta parió de Amram á Aarón y á Moisés, y á María su hermana.

The name of Amram’s wife was Jochebed the daughter of Levi, who was born to Levi in Egypt; and to Amram she bore Aaron and Moses and their sister Miriam.

60 Y á Aarón nacieron Nadab y Abiú, Eleazar é Ithamar.

To Aaron were born Nadab and Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar.

61 M as Nadab y Abiú murieron, cuando ofrecieron fuego extraño delante de Jehová.

And Nadab and Abihu died when they offered profane fire before the Lord.

62 Y los contados de los Levitas fueron veinte y tres mil, todos varones de un mes arriba: porque no fueron contados entre los hijos de Israel, por cuanto no les había de ser dada heredad entre los hijos de Israel.

Now those who were numbered of them were twenty-three thousand, every male from a month old and above; for they were not numbered among the other children of Israel, because there was no inheritance given to them among the children of Israel.

63 E stos son los contados por Moisés y Eleazar el sacerdote, los cuales contaron los hijos de Israel en los campos de Moab, junto al Jordán de Jericó.

These are those who were numbered by Moses and Eleazar the priest, who numbered the children of Israel in the plains of Moab by the Jordan, across from Jericho.

64 Y entre estos ninguno hubo de los contados por Moisés y Aarón el sacerdote, los cuales contaron á los hijos de Israel en el desierto de Sinaí.

But among these there was not a man of those who were numbered by Moses and Aaron the priest when they numbered the children of Israel in the Wilderness of Sinai.

65 P orque Jehová les dijo: Han de morir en el desierto: y no quedó varón de ellos, sino Caleb hijo de Jephone, y Josué hijo de Nun.

For the Lord had said of them, “They shall surely die in the wilderness.” So there was not left a man of them, except Caleb the son of Jephunneh and Joshua the son of Nun.
