1 A nd the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,

Il Signore parlò a Mosè e disse:

2 I f a soul sin, and commit a trespass against the Lord, and lie unto his neighbour in that which was delivered him to keep, or in fellowship, or in a thing taken away by violence, or hath deceived his neighbour;

«Quando uno peccherà e commetterà un’infedeltà verso il Signore, negando al suo prossimo un deposito da lui ricevuto, o un pegno messo nelle sue mani, o una cosa che ha rubato o estorto con frode al prossimo,

3 o r have found that which was lost, and lieth concerning it, and sweareth falsely; in any of all these that a man doeth, sinning therein:

o una cosa smarrita che ha trovata, e mentendo a questo proposito e giurando il falso circa una delle cose nelle quali l’uomo può peccare,

4 t hen it shall be, because he hath sinned, and is guilty, that he shall restore that which he took violently away, or the thing which he hath deceitfully gotten, or that which was delivered him to keep, or the lost thing which he found,

quando avrà così peccato e si sarà reso colpevole, restituirà la cosa rubata o estorta con frode, o il deposito che gli era stato affidato, o l’oggetto smarrito che ha trovato,

5 o r all that about which he hath sworn falsely; he shall even restore it in the principal, and shall add the fifth part more thereto, and give it unto him to whom it appertaineth, in the day of his trespass offering.

o qualunque cosa circa la quale abbia giurato il falso. Farà la restituzione per intero e vi aggiungerà un quinto in più, consegnando ciò al proprietario il giorno stesso in cui offrirà il suo sacrificio per la colpa.

6 A nd he shall bring his trespass offering unto the Lord, a ram without blemish out of the flock, with thy estimation, for a trespass offering, unto the priest:

Porterà al sacerdote il suo sacrificio per la colpa offerto al Signore: un montone senza difetto, scelto dal gregge in base alla tua valutazione, come sacrificio per la colpa.

7 a nd the priest shall make an atonement for him before the Lord: and it shall be forgiven him for any thing of all that he hath done in trespassing therein.

Il sacerdote farà l’espiazione per lui davanti al Signore, e gli sarà perdonato qualunque sia la cosa di cui si è reso colpevole».

8 A nd the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,

Il Signore parlò ancora a Mosè, e disse:

9 C ommand Aaron and his sons, saying, This is the law of the burnt offering: It is the burnt offering, because of the burning upon the altar all night unto the morning, and the fire of the altar shall be burning in it.

«Da’ quest’ordine ad Aaronne e ai suoi figli, e di’ loro: “Questa è la legge dell’olocausto. L’olocausto rimarrà sulla legna accesa sopra l’altare tutta la notte, fino al mattino; e il fuoco dell’altare sarà tenuto acceso.

10 A nd the priest shall put on his linen garment, and his linen breeches shall he put upon his flesh, and take up the ashes which the fire hath consumed with the burnt offering on the altar, and he shall put them beside the altar.

Il sacerdote indosserà la sua tunica di lino e si metterà delle mutande di lino a contatto con la pelle; toglierà la cenere dell’olocausto consumato dal fuoco sull’altare e la metterà accanto all’altare.

11 A nd he shall put off his garments, and put on other garments, and carry forth the ashes without the camp unto a clean place.

Poi si spoglierà delle vesti e ne indosserà delle altre e porterà la cenere fuori dal campo, in un luogo puro.

12 A nd the fire upon the altar shall be burning in it; it shall not be put out: and the priest shall burn wood on it every morning, and lay the burnt offering in order upon it; and he shall burn thereon the fat of the peace offerings.

Il fuoco sarà mantenuto acceso sull’altare e non si lascerà spegnere; il sacerdote vi brucerà della legna ogni mattina, vi disporrà sopra l’olocausto, e sopra vi brucerà il grasso dei sacrifici di riconoscenza.

13 T he fire shall ever be burning upon the altar; it shall never go out.

Il fuoco dev’essere mantenuto sempre acceso sull’altare, e non lo si lascerà spegnere. Legge dell’oblazione

14 A nd this is the law of the meat offering: the sons of Aaron shall offer it before the Lord, before the altar.

«“Questa è la legge dell’oblazione. I figli di Aaronne la offriranno davanti al Signore, di fronte all’altare.

15 A nd he shall take of it his handful, of the flour of the meat offering, and of the oil thereof, and all the frankincense which is upon the meat offering, and shall burn it upon the altar for a sweet savour, even the memorial of it, unto the Lord.

Si prenderà una manciata di fior di farina con il suo olio e tutto l’incenso che è sull’oblazione, e si farà bruciare ogni cosa sull’altare come sacrificio di profumo soave, come un ricordo per il Signore.

16 A nd the remainder thereof shall Aaron and his sons eat: with unleavened bread shall it be eaten in the holy place; in the court of the tabernacle of the congregation they shall eat it.

Aaronne e i suoi figli mangeranno quello che rimarrà dell’oblazione; lo si mangerà azzimo, in luogo santo; lo mangeranno nel cortile della tenda di convegno.

17 I t shall not be baken with leaven. I have given it unto them for their portion of my offerings made by fire; it is most holy, as is the sin offering, and as the trespass offering.

Non lo si cuocerà con lievito; è la parte che ho data loro dei sacrifici per me, consumati dal fuoco. È cosa santissima, come il sacrificio espiatorio e come il sacrificio per la colpa.

18 A ll the males among the children of Aaron shall eat of it. It shall be a statute for ever in your generations concerning the offerings of the Lord made by fire: every one that toucheth them shall be holy.

Ogni maschio tra i figli di Aaronne ne potrà mangiare. È la parte dei sacrifici consumati dal fuoco per il Signore, assegnata a voi per sempre di generazione in generazione. Chiunque toccherà quelle cose sarà santificato”».

19 A nd the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,

Il Signore parlò ancora a Mosè, e disse:

20 T his is the offering of Aaron and of his sons, which they shall offer unto the Lord in the day when he is anointed; the tenth part of an ephah of fine flour for a meat offering perpetual, half of it in the morning, and half thereof at night.

«Questa è l’offerta che Aaronne e i suoi figli faranno al Signore il giorno che riceveranno l’unzione: un decimo d’efa di fior di farina. Sarà l’oblazione quotidiana, metà la mattina e metà la sera.

21 I n a pan it shall be made with oil; and when it is baken, thou shalt bring it in: and the baken pieces of the meat offering shalt thou offer for a sweet savour unto the Lord.

Essa sarà preparata con olio, sulla piastra; la porterai quando sarà cotta; la offrirai come offerta, divisa in pezzi, di profumo soave per il Signore.

22 A nd the priest of his sons that is anointed in his stead shall offer it: it is a statute for ever unto the Lord; it shall be wholly burnt.

Il sacerdote che, tra i figli di Aaronne, sarà unto per succedergli, farà anche lui questa offerta; è la parte assegnata per sempre al Signore; sarà fatta bruciare per intero.

23 F or every meat offering for the priest shall be wholly burnt: it shall not be eaten.

Ogni oblazione del sacerdote sarà fatta bruciare per intero; non sarà mangiata». Legge del sacrificio espiatorio

24 A nd the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,

Il Signore parlò ancora a Mosè, e disse:

25 S peak unto Aaron and to his sons, saying, This is the law of the sin offering: In the place where the burnt offering is killed shall the sin offering be killed before the Lord: it is most holy.

«Parla ad Aaronne e ai suoi figli e di’ loro: “Questa è la legge del sacrificio espiatorio. Nel luogo dove si sgozza l’olocausto, sarà sgozzata, davanti al Signore, la vittima espiatoria. È cosa santissima.

26 T he priest that offereth it for sin shall eat it: in the holy place shall it be eaten, in the court of the tabernacle of the congregation.

Il sacerdote che la offrirà per il peccato, la mangerà; dovrà essere mangiata in luogo santo, nel cortile della tenda di convegno.

27 W hatsoever shall touch the flesh thereof shall be holy: and when there is sprinkled of the blood thereof upon any garment, thou shalt wash that whereon it was sprinkled in the holy place.

Ogni cosa che toccherà la carne sarà santificata; se il suo sangue schizza sopra una veste, laverai in luogo santo quel lembo su cui è schizzato il sangue.

28 B ut the earthen vessel wherein it is sodden shall be broken: and if it be sodden in a brasen pot, it shall be both scoured, and rinsed in water.

Ma il vaso di terra che sarà servito a cuocerla, sarà spezzato; se è stata cotta in un vaso di bronzo, lo si strofini bene e lo si sciacqui con acqua.

29 A ll the males among the priests shall eat thereof: it is most holy.

Soltanto i maschi delle famiglie dei sacerdoti ne potranno mangiare; è cosa santissima.

30 A nd no sin offering, whereof any of the blood is brought into the tabernacle of the congregation to reconcile withal in the holy place, shall be eaten: it shall be burnt in the fire.

Non mangerete nessuna vittima espiatoria il cui sangue viene portato nella tenda di convegno per fare l’espiazione nel santuario. Essa sarà bruciata.
