I will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.

2 L 'anima mia si glorierà nell'Eterno; gli umili l'udranno e si rallegreranno.

My soul shall make her boast in the Lord: the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad.

3 M agnificate con me l'Eterno ed esaltiamo tutti insieme il suo nome.

O magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt his name together.

4 h o cercato l'Eterno, ed egli mi ha risposto e mi ha liberato da tutti i miei spaventi.

I sought the Lord, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.

5 E ssi hanno guardato a lui e sono stati illuminati, e le loro facce non sono svergognate.

They looked unto him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed.

6 Q uest'afflitto ha gridato, e l'Eterno lo ha esaudito e l'ha salvato da tutte le sue avversità.

This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles.

7 d ell'Eterno si accampa attorno a quelli che lo temono e li libera.

The angel of the Lord encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.

8 G ustate e vedete quanto l'Eterno è buono; beato l'uomo che si rifugia in Lui.

O taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.

9 T emete l'Eterno, voi suoi santi, poiché nulla manca a quelli che lo temono.

O fear the Lord, ye his saints: for there is no want to them that fear him.

10 I leoncelli soffrono penuria e fame, ma quelli che cercano l'Eterno non mancano di alcun bene.

The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the Lord shall not want any good thing.

11 V enite, figlioli, ascoltatemi; io vi insegnerò il timore dell'Eterno.

Come, ye children, hearken unto me: I will teach you the fear of the Lord.

12 Q ual è l'uomo che desidera la vita, e che ama lunghi giorni per vedere il bene?

What man is he that desireth life, and loveth many days, that he may see good?

13 T rattieni la tua lingua dal male e le tue labbra dal dire menzogne.

Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking guile.

14 A llontanati dal male e fa' il bene, cerca la pace e procacciala.

Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it.

15 G li occhi dell'Eterno sono sui giusti, e i suoi orecchi sono attenti al loro grido.

The eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry.

16 L a faccia dell'Eterno è contro quelli che fanno il male per sradicare la loro memoria dalla terra.

The face of the Lord is against them that do evil, to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth.

17 I giusti gridano e l'Eterno li ascolta e li libera da tutte le loro sventure.

The righteous cry, and the Lord heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles.

18 L 'Eterno è vicino a quelli che hanno il cuore rotto e salva quelli che hanno lo spirito affranto.

The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.

19 M olte sono le afflizioni del giusto, ma l'Eterno lo libera da tutte.

Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the Lord delivereth him out of them all.

20 E gli preserva tutte le sue ossa, e nessuno di esse è spezzato.

He keepeth all his bones: not one of them is broken.

21 L a malvagità ucciderà il malvagio, e quelli che odiano il giusto saranno distrutti.

Evil shall slay the wicked: and they that hate the righteous shall be desolate.

22 L 'Eterno riscatta la vita dei suoi servi, e nessuno di quelli che si rifugiano in lui sarà distrutto.

The Lord redeemeth the soul of his servants: and none of them that trust in him shall be desolate.
