Hear my cry, O God; attend unto my prayer.

2 D all'estremità della terra io grido a te, mentre il mio cuore si strugge; conducimi tu alla rocca che è piú alta di me

From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I.

3 p erché tu sei stato un rifugio per me e una torre fortificata davanti al nemico.

For thou hast been a shelter for me, and a strong tower from the enemy.

4 I o abiterò nella tua tenda per sempre cercherò rifugio all'ombra delle tue ali (Sela)

I will abide in thy tabernacle for ever: I will trust in the covert of thy wings. Selah.

5 P oiché tu, o DIO, hai esaudito i miei voti, mi hai dato l'eredità di quelli che temono il tuo nome.

For thou, O God, hast heard my vows: thou hast given me the heritage of those that fear thy name.

6 T u aggiungerai altri giorni alla vita del re; i suoi anni durino per molte generazioni.

Thou wilt prolong the king’s life: and his years as many generations.

7 E gli dimorerà per sempre alla presenza di DIO; ordina alla benignità e alla verità di custodirlo.

He shall abide before God for ever: O prepare mercy and truth, which may preserve him.

8 C osí canterò per sempre le lodi al tuo nome e adempirò i miei voti giorno per giorno.

So will I sing praise unto thy name for ever, that I may daily perform my vows.
