The Lord hear thee in the day of trouble; the name of the God of Jacob defend thee;

2 T i mandi soccorso dal santuario e ti sostenga da Sion;

send thee help from the sanctuary, and strengthen thee out of Zion;

3 s i ricordi di tutte le tue offerte e accetti il tuo olocausto.

remember all thy offerings, and accept thy burnt sacrifice; Selah.

4 T i dia secondo quel che il tuo cuore desidera e porti a compimento ogni tuo progetto.

Grant thee according to thine own heart, and fulfil all thy counsel.

5 N oi canteremo di gioia nella tua liberazione e alzeremo le nostre bandiere nel nome del nostro DIO. L'Eterno adempia tutte le tue richieste.

We will rejoice in thy salvation, and in the name of our God we will set up our banners: the Lord fulfil all thy petitions.

6 O ra so che l'Eterno salva il suo unto; gli risponderà dal suo cielo santo con la forza salvatrice della sua destra.

Now know I that the Lord saveth his anointed; he will hear him from his holy heaven with the saving strength of his right hand.

7 A lcuni confidano nei carri e altri nei cavalli, ma noi ricorderemo il nome dell'Eterno, il nostro DIO.

Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the Lord our God.

8 Q uelli si sono piegati e sono caduti; ma noi ci siamo rialzati e rimaniamo in piedi.

They are brought down and fallen: but we are risen, and stand upright.

9 S alva, o Eterno; ci risponda il re nel giorno in cui grideremo.

Save, Lord: let the king hear us when we call.
