1 P oi mi fece uscire nel cortile esterno dal lato nord e mi condusse nelle camere che si trovavano davanti allo spazio vuoto e di fronte alla costruzione verso nord.

Then he brought me forth into the utter court, the way toward the north: and he brought me into the chamber that was over against the separate place, and which was before the building toward the north.

2 L a costruzione nella facciata verso nord aveva una lunghezza di cento cubiti e cinquanta cubiti di larghezza.

Before the length of an hundred cubits was the north door, and the breadth was fifty cubits.

3 D i fronte al cortile interno di venti cubiti e di fronte al lastrico del cortile esterno c'era una galleria sopra l'altra a tre piani.

Over against the twenty cubits which were for the inner court, and over against the pavement which was for the utter court, was gallery against gallery in three stories.

4 D avanti alle camere c'era un passaggio interno, largo dieci cubiti e lungo cento cubiti; le loro porte guardavano a nord.

And before the chambers was a walk of ten cubits breadth inward, a way of one cubit; and their doors toward the north.

5 L e camere superiori erano piú strette, perché le gallerie portavano via loro maggior spazio che alle gallerie inferiori e intermedie della costruzione.

Now the upper chambers were shorter: for the galleries were higher than these, than the lower, and than the middlemost of the building.

6 P oiché erano a tre piani e non avevano colonne come le colonne dei cortili, perciò dal suolo le camere superiori erano piú strette di quelle inferiori e intermedie.

For they were in three stories, but had not pillars as the pillars of the courts: therefore the building was straitened more than the lowest and the middlemost from the ground.

7 I l muro esterno, parallelo alle camere dal lato del cortile esterno, di fronte alle camere, aveva cinquanta cubiti di lunghezza;

And the wall that was without over against the chambers, toward the utter court on the forepart of the chambers, the length thereof was fifty cubits.

8 i nfatti la lunghezza delle camere dal lato del cortile esterno era di cinquanta cubiti, mentre dal lato della facciata del santuario era di cento cubiti.

For the length of the chambers that were in the utter court was fifty cubits: and, lo, before the temple were an hundred cubits.

9 S otto queste camere c'era un ingresso dal lato est, per chi entrava in esse dal cortile esterno.

And from under these chambers was the entry on the east side, as one goeth into them from the utter court.

10 N el muro largo del cortile verso est, di fronte allo spazio vuoto e di fronte alla costruzione, c'erano camere.

The chambers were in the thickness of the wall of the court toward the east, over against the separate place, and over against the building.

11 D avanti ad esse c'era un passaggio simile a quello delle camere che erano verso nord; esse avevano la loro stessa lunghezza e larghezza, con tutte le loro uscite e porte secondo gli stessi criteri.

And the way before them was like the appearance of the chambers which were toward the north, as long as they, and as broad as they: and all their goings out were both according to their fashions, and according to their doors.

12 I n corrispondenza alle porte delle camere che erano verso sud, c'era una porta all'inizio del passaggio proprio davanti al muro verso est.

And according to the doors of the chambers that were toward the south was a door in the head of the way, even the way directly before the wall toward the east, as one entereth into them.

13 E gli mi disse: «Le camere a nord e le camere a sud che stanno di fronte allo spazio vuoto sono le camere sante, dove i sacerdoti che si avvicinano all'Eterno mangeranno le cose santissime; là deporranno le cose santissime, e cioè le oblazioni di cibo e le oblazioni per il peccato e per la trasgressione, perché quel luogo è santo.

Then said he unto me, The north chambers and the south chambers, which are before the separate place, they be holy chambers, where the priests that approach unto the Lord shall eat the most holy things: there shall they lay the most holy things, and the meat offering, and the sin offering, and the trespass offering; for the place is holy.

14 Q uando i sacerdoti saranno entrati non usciranno dal luogo santo nel cortile esterno, ma deporranno là le loro vesti con le quali prestano servizio, perché sono sante; indosseranno altre vesti e così potranno avvicinarsi a ciò che spetta al popolo».

When the priests enter therein, then shall they not go out of the holy place into the utter court, but there they shall lay their garments wherein they minister; for they are holy; and shall put on other garments, and shall approach to those things which are for the people.

15 T erminato di misurare l'interno del tempio, mi fece uscire per la porta che guarda a est e misurò il recinto tutt'intorno.

Now when he had made an end of measuring the inner house, he brought me forth toward the gate whose prospect is toward the east, and measured it round about.

16 M isurò il lato est con la canna per misurare: cinquecento cubiti con la canna per misurare tutt'intorno.

He measured the east side with the measuring reed, five hundred reeds, with the measuring reed round about.

17 M isurò il lato nord: cinquecento cubiti con la canna per misurare tutt'intorno

He measured the north side, five hundred reeds, with the measuring reed round about.

18 M isurò il lato sud con la canna per misurare: cinquecento cubiti.

He measured the south side, five hundred reeds, with the measuring reed.

19 S i volse al lato ovest e misurò: cinquecento cubiti con la canna per misurare.

He turned about to the west side, and measured five hundred reeds with the measuring reed.

20 M isurò l'area ai quattro lati; aveva tutt'intorno un muro, lungo cinquecento cubiti e largo cinquecento cubiti, per separare il luogo sacro da quello profano.

He measured it by the four sides: it had a wall round about, five hundred reeds long, and five hundred broad, to make a separation between the sanctuary and the profane place.
