1 H ear my cry, God. Listen to my prayer.

Hear my cry, O God; attend unto my prayer.

2 F rom the end of the earth, I will call to you, when my heart is overwhelmed. Lead me to the rock that is higher than I.

From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I.

3 F or you have been a refuge for me, a strong tower from the enemy.

For thou hast been a shelter for me, and a strong tower from the enemy.

4 I will dwell in your tent forever. I will take refuge in the shelter of your wings. Selah.

I will abide in thy tabernacle for ever: I will trust in the covert of thy wings. Selah.

5 F or you, God, have heard my vows. You have given me the heritage of those who fear your name.

For thou, O God, hast heard my vows: thou hast given me the heritage of those that fear thy name.

6 Y ou will prolong the king’s life; his years shall be for generations.

Thou wilt prolong the king’s life: and his years as many generations.

7 H e shall be enthroned in God’s presence forever. Appoint your loving kindness and truth, that they may preserve him.

He shall abide before God for ever: O prepare mercy and truth, which may preserve him.

8 S o I will sing praise to your name forever, that I may fulfill my vows daily.

So will I sing praise unto thy name for ever, that I may daily perform my vows.
