1 ¶ The sons of Levi: Gershon, Kohath, and Merari.

أبْناءُ لاوِي هُمْ جَرْشُونَ وَقَهاتُ وَمَرارِي.

2 T he sons of Kohath: Amram, Izhar, Hebron, and Uzziel.

أبْناءُ قَهاتَ هُمْ عَمْرامُ وَيِصْهارُ وَحَبْرُونُ وَعُزِّيئِيلَ.

3 T he sons of Amram: Aaron, Moses, and Miriam. The sons of Aaron: Nadab, Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar.

أبْناءُ عَمْرامَ هُمْ هارُونُ وَمُوسَى وَمَرْيَمُ. أبناءُ هارُونَ هُمْ نادابُ وَأبِيهُو وَألِيعِازارُ وَإيثامارُ.

4 E leazar begat Phinehas, and Phinehas begat Abishua,

وَأنجَبَ ألِيعازارُ فِينَحاسَ. وَأنجَبَ فِينَحاسُ أبِيشُوعَ.

5 a nd Abishua begat Bukki, and Bukki begat Uzzi,

وَأنجَبَ أبِيشُوعُ بُقِّي. وَأنجَبَ بُقِّي عُزِّي.

6 a nd Uzzi begat Zerahiah, and Zerahiah begat Meraioth,

وَأنجَبَ عُزِّي زَرَحْيا. وَأنجَبَ زَرَحْيا مَرايُوثَ.

7 a nd Meraioth begat Amariah, and Amariah begat Ahitub,

وَأنجَبَ مَرايُوثُ أمَرْيا. وَأنجَبَ أمَرْيا أخِيطُوبَ.

8 a nd Ahitub begat Zadok, and Zadok begat Ahimaaz,

وَأنجَبَ أخِيطُوبُ صادُوقَ. وَأنجَبُ صادُوقُ أخِيمَعْصَ.

9 a nd Ahimaaz begat Azariah, and Azariah begat Johanan,

وَأنجَبَ أخِيمَعْصُ عَزَرْيا. وَأنجَبَ عَزَرْيا يُوحانانَ.

10 a nd Johanan begat Azariah, who had the priesthood in the house that Solomon built in Jerusalem,

وَأنجَبَ يُوحانانُ عَزَرْيا – وَهُوَ الَّذِي خَدَمَ كَكاهِنٍ فِي الهَيكَلِ الَّذِي بَناهُ سُلَيْمانُ فِي القُدْسِ.

11 a nd Azariah begat Amariah, and Amariah begat Ahitub,

وَأنجَبَ عَزَرْيا أمَرْيا. وَأنجَبَ أمَرْيا أخِيطُوبَ.

12 a nd Ahitub begat Zadok, and Zadok begat Shallum,

وَأنجَبَ أخِيطُوبُ صادُوقَ. وَأنجَبَ صادُوقُ شَلُّومَ.

13 a nd Shallum begat Hilkiah, and Hilkiah begat Azariah,

وَأنجَبَ شَلُّومُ حِلْقَيّا. وَأنجَبَ حِلْقَيّا عَزَرْيا.

14 a nd Azariah begat Seraiah, and Seraiah begat Jehozadak,

وَأنجَبَ عَزَرْيا سَرايا. وَأنجَبَ سَرايا يَهُوصاداقَ.

15 a nd Jehozadak went into captivity, when the LORD carried away Judah and Jerusalem by the hand of Nebuchadnezzar.

وَذَهَبَ يَهُوصاداقُ فِي السَّبْيِ، عِندَما نَفَى اللهُ أهلَ يَهُوذا وَالقُدْسِ عَلَى يَدِ نَبُوخَذْناصَّرَ.

16 T he sons of Levi: Gershon, Kohath, and Merari.

أبْناءُ لاوِي هُمْ جَرْشُونُ وَقَهاتُ وَمَرارِي.

17 A nd these are the names of the sons of Gershon: Libni and Shimei.

ابْنَا جَرْشُونَ هُما لِبْنِي وَشَمْعَى.

18 T he sons of Kohath: Amram, Izhar, Hebron, and Uzziel.

أبْناءُ قَهاتَ هُمْ عَمْرامُ وَيِصْهارُ وَحَبْرُونُ وَعُزِّيئِيلُ.

19 T he sons of Merari: Mahli, Mushi. These are the families of the Levites according to their fathers.

ابْنا مَرارِي هُمْ مَحلِي وَمُوشِي. وَهَذِهِ هِيَ عَشائِرُ اللّاوِيِّينَ المَذْكُورِينَ حَسَبَ آبائِهِمْ:

20 O f Gershon: Libni, his son, Jahath his son, Zimmah his son,

لِجَرْشُومَ: لِبْنِي بْنُ جَرْشُومَ، وَيَحَثُ بْنُ لِبْنِي، وَزِمَّةُ بْنُ يَحَثَ،

21 J oah, his son, Iddo, his son, Zerah, his son, Jeaterai, his son.

وَيُوآخُ بْنُ زِمَّةَ، وَعِدُّو بْنُ يُوآخَ، وَزارَحُ بْنُ عِدُّو، وَيَأَثْرايُ بْنُ زارَحَ.

22 T he sons of Kohath: Amminadab, his son, Korah, his son, Assir, his son,

أبْناءُ قَهاتَ هُمْ عَمِّينادابُ بْنُ قَهاتَ، وَقُورَحُ بْنُ عَمِّينادابُ، وَأسِّيرُ بْنُ قُورَحَ.

23 E lkanah, his son, and Ebiasaph, his son, and Assir, his son,

ألقانَةُ بْنُ قُورَحَ، وَأبِياسافُ بْنُ قُورَحَ، وَأسِّيرُ بْنُ أبِياسافَ.

24 T ahath, his son, Uriel, his son, Uzziah, his son, and Saul, his son.

وَتَحَثُ بْنُ أسِّيرَ، وَأُورِيئِيلُ بْنُ تَحَثَ، وَعُزِّيّا بْنُ أُورِيئِيلَ، وَشاوُلُ بْنُ عُزِّيّا.

25 T he sons of Elkanah: Amasai, Ahimoth, and Elkanah.

وَابْنا ألقانَةَ هُما عَماسايُ وَأخِيمُوتُ.

26 T he sons of Elkanah: Zophai, his son, and Nahath, his son,

وَألْقانَةُ بْنُ أخِيمُوتَ، وَصُوفايُ بْنُ ألقانَةَ، وَنَحَثُ بْنُ صُوفايَ.

27 E liab, his son, Jeroham, his son, Elkanah, his son.

وَألِيآبُ بْنُ نَحَثَ، وَيَرُوحامُ بْنُ ألِيآبَ، وَألْقانَةُ بْنُ يَرُوحامَ، وَصَمُوئِيلُ بْنُ ألقانَةَ.

28 T he sons of Samuel: the firstborn Vashni and Abiah.

وَابْنا صَمُوئِيلَ هُما يُوئِيلُ البِكْرُ، وَالثّانِي أبِيّا.

29 T he sons of Merari: Mahli, Libni, his son, Shimei, his son, Uzza, his son,

أبْناءُ مَرارِي هُمْ مَحلِي بْنُ مَرارِي، وَلِبْنِي بْنُ مَحلِي، وَشِمْعَى بْنُ لِبْنِي، وَعُزَّةُ بْنُ شِمْعَى،

30 S himea, his son, Haggiah, his son, Asaiah, his son.

وَشِمْعَى بْنُ عُزَّةَ، وَحَجِيّا بْنُ شِمْعَى، وَعَسايا بْنُ حَجِيّا. المُرَنِّمُونَ فِي بَيتِ الله

31 ¶ And these are they whom David set over the service of song in the house of the LORD, after the ark had rest.

وَهَؤُلاءِ هُمُ الَّذِينَ عَيَّنَهُمْ داوُدُ مُشْرِفِينَ عَلَى التَّسبِيحِ فِي بَيتِ اللهِ بَعْدَ أنْ اسْتَقَرَّ صُنْدُوقُ العَهْدِ فِي القُدْسِ.

32 A nd they served before the tent of the tabernacle of the testimony with singing until Solomon had built the house of the LORD in Jerusalem, and then they remained in their ministry according to their right.

وَكانُوا يَخدِمُونَ أمامَ خَيمَةِ الاجْتِماعِ بِالتَّرْنِيمِ، إلَى أنْ بَنَى سُلَيْمانُ بَيتَ اللهِ فِي القُدْسِ. وَقامُوا بِالخِدمَةِ وَفْقَ مَهامِّهِمْ.

33 A nd these are those that remained with their sons. Of the sons of the Kohath: Heman, a singer, the son of Joel, the son of Shemuel,

وَهَذِهِ هِيَ أسْماءُ الَّذِينَ خَدَمُوا، وَأسْماءُ أبْنائِهِمْ: مِنَ القَهاتِيِّينَ هَيْمانُ المُرَنِّمُ، ابْنُ يُوئِيلَ بْنِ صَمُوئِيلَ

34 t he son of Elkanah, the son of Jeroham, the son of Eliel, the son of Toah,

بْنِ ألقانَةَ بْنِ يَرُوحامَ بْنِ إيلِيئِيلَ بْنِ تُوحَ

35 t he son of Zuph, the son of Elkanah, the son of Mahath, the son of Amasai,

بْنِ صُوفَ بْنِ ألقانَةَ بْنِ مَحَثَ بْنِ عَماسايَ

36 t he son of Elkanah, the son of Joel, the son of Azariah, the son of Zephaniah,

بْنِ ألقانَةَ بْنِ يُوئِيلَ بْنِ عَزَرْيا بْنِ صَفَنْيا

37 t he son of Tahath, the son of Assir, the son of Ebiasaph, the son of Korah,

بْنِ تَحَثَ بْنِ أسِّيرَ بْنِ أبِياسافَ بْنِ قُورَحَ

38 t he son of Izhar, the son of Kohath, the son of Levi, the son of Israel.

بْنِ يَصْهارَ بْنِ قَهاتَ بْنِ لاوِي بْنِ إسْرائِيلَ.

39 A nd his brother Asaph, who stood on his right hand, even Asaph the son of Berachiah, the son of Shimea,

وَعَنْ يَمِينِهِ، وَقَفَ زَمِيلُهُ آسافُ بْنُ بَرَخْيا بْنِ شَمْعَى،

40 t he son of Michael, the son of Baaseiah, the son of Malchiah,

بْنِ مِيخائِيلَ بْنِ بَعَسْيا بْنِ مَلِكْيا

41 t he son of Ethni, the son of Zerah, the son of Adaiah,

بْنِ أثْنايَ بْنِ زارَحَ بْنِ عَدايا

42 t he son of Ethan, the son of Zimmah, the son of Shimei,

بْنِ أيثانَ بْنِ زِمَّةَ بْنِ شَمْعَى

43 t he son of Jahath, the son of Gershon, the son of Levi.

بْنِ يَحَثَ بْنِ جَرْشُونَ بْنِ لاوِي.

44 A nd their brethren, the sons of Merari, stood on the left hand; Ethan, the son of Kishi, the son of Abdi, the son of Malluch,

وَعَن يَسارِهِم، وَقَفَ زُمَلاؤُهُمْ مِنْ أبْناءِ مَرارِي، وقائِدُهُمْ أيْثانُ بْنُ قِيشِي بْنِ عَبْدِي بْنِ مَلُّوخَ

45 t he son of Hashabiah, the son of Amaziah, the son of Hilkiah,

بْنِ حَشَبْيا بْنِ أمَصْيا بْنِ حِلْقِيّا

46 t he son of Amzi, the son of Bani, the son of Shamer,

بْنِ أمصِي بْنِ بانِي بْنِ سامِرَ

47 t he son of Mahli, the son of Mushi, the son of Merari, the son of Levi.

بْنِ مَحلِي بْنِ مُوشِي بْنِ مَرارِي بْنِ لاوِي.

48 T heir brethren, also the Levites, were given over unto all the ministry of the tabernacle of the house of God.

وَكانَ إخْوَتُهُمُ اللّاوِيُّونَ مُكَرَّسِينَ لِكُلِّ خِدْمَةِ خَيمَةِ اجتِماعِ بَيتِ اللهِ.

49 B ut Aaron and his sons made incense upon the altar of the burnt offering and on the altar of incense, in all the work of the holy of holies, and to make reconciliation for Israel, according to all that Moses, the slave of God, had commanded.

لَكِنَّ هارُونَ وَأبْناءَهُ، هُمُ الَّذِينَ كانُوا يُوقِدُونَ كُلَّ الذَّبائِحِ عَلَى مَذْبَحِ الذَّبائِحِ الصّاعِدَةِ. وَيُوقِدونَ النّارَ عَلَى مَذْبَحِ البَخُورِ، بِالإضافَةِ إلَى كُلِّ خِدمَةِ قُدْسِ الأقْداسِ. وَكانُوا يُقَدِّمُونَ ذَبائِحَ لِلتَّكْفِيرِ عَنْ خَطايا إسْرائِيلَ، وَفْقَ كُلِّ ما أمَرَ بِهِ مُوسَى عَبْدُ اللهِ. نَسلُ هارُون

50 A nd these are the sons of Aaron: Eleazar, his son, Phinehas, his son, Abishua, his son,

وَهَؤُلاءِ هُمْ أبْناءُ هارُونَ: ألِعازَارُ وَفِينَحاسُ وَأِبِيشُوعُ

51 B ukki, his son, Uzzi, his son, Zerahiah, his son,

وَبُقِّيُ وَعُزِّيُ وَزَرَحْيا

52 M eraioth, his son, Amariah, his son, Ahitub, his son,

وَمَرايُوثُ وَأمَرْيا وَأخِيطُوبُ

53 Z adok, his son, Ahimaaz, his son.

وَصادُوقُ وَأخِيمَعَصَ. أماكِنُ سُكنى اللّاوِيِّين

54 ¶ Now these are their dwelling places throughout their palaces in their borders, of the sons of Aaron, of the families of the Kohathites; for theirs was the lot,

وَهَذِهِ هِيَ أماكِنُ سُكْناهُمْ حَسَبَ مُسْتَوطَناتِهِمْ فِي حُدُودِهِمْ. وَقَعَتِ القُرْعَةُ لِبَنِي هارُونَ مِنْ عَشِيرَةِ القَهاتِيِّينَ،

55 t hat they gave them Hebron in the land of Judah and its suburbs round about it.

فَأعْطُوهُمْ مَدِينَةَ حَبْرُونَ فِي أرْضِ يَهُوذا وَالمَراعِيَ المُحِيطَةَ بِها.

56 B ut the fields around the city and its villages, they gave to Caleb the son of Jephunneh.

أمّا ضِياعُ المَدِينَةِ وَقُراها فَأُعطِيَتْ لِكالَبَ بْنِ يَفُنَّةَ.

57 A nd to the sons of Aaron they gave the cities of refuge of Judah, namely, Hebron and Libnah with their suburbs, and Jattir and Eshtemoa, with their suburbs,

وَأُعطِيَ أبْناءُ هارُونَ مُدُنَ اللُّجُوءِ: حَبْرُونَ، وَلِبْنَةُ وَمَراعِيهِما، وَيَتِّيرُ وَأشْتَمُوعُ وَمَراعِيهِما،

58 a nd Hilen with her suburbs, Debir with her suburbs,

وَحِيلِينَ وَمَراعِيها، وَدَبِيرُ وَمَراعِيها،

59 a nd Ashan with her suburbs, and Bethshemesh with her suburbs.

وَعاشانُ وَمَراعِيها، وَيَطَّةَ وَمَراعِيها، وَبَيتُ شَمْسٍ وَمَراعِيها.

60 A nd out of the tribe of Benjamin; Geba with her suburbs and Alemeth with her suburbs and Anathoth with her suburbs. All their cities throughout their families were thirteen cities.

وَمِنْ قَبِيلَةِ بَنْيامِيْنَ أخَذُوا جِبْعُونَ وَمَراعِيها، وَجَبَعَ وَمَراعِيها، وَعَلْمَثَ وَمَراعِيها، وَعَناثُوثَ وَمَراعِيها. وَكانَ مَجْمُوعُ مُدُنِ عَشائِرِهِمْ ثَلاثَ عَشْرَةَ مَدِينَةً.

61 A nd unto the sons of Kohath, who were left of that family, they gave ten cities of the half tribe of Manasseh, by lot.

وَأُعطِيَتْ بَقِيَّةُ أبْناءِ قَهاتَ مِنْ عَشائِرِ القَبِيلَةِ وَمِنْ نِصْفِ قَبِيلَةِ مَنَسَّى عَشْرَ مُدُنٍ.

62 A nd to the sons of Gershon, throughout their families, out of the tribe of Issachar and out of the tribe of Asher and out of the tribe of Naphtali and out of the tribe of Manasseh in Bashan, thirteen cities.

وَأُعطِيَ أبْناءُ جَرْشُومَ، عَشِيرَةً بَعْدَ عَشِيرَةٍ، ثَلاثَ عَشْرَةَ مَدِينَةً مِنْ قَبائِلِ يِسّاكَرَ، وَأشِيرَ، وَنَفْتالِي وَنِصْفِ قَبِيلَةِ مَنَسَّى الَّذِينَ كانُوا فِي باشانَ.

63 U nto the sons of Merari were given by lot, throughout their families, out of the tribe of Reuben and out of the tribe of Gad and out of the tribe of Zebulun, twelve cities.

وَأُعطِيَ أبْناءُ مَرارِي، عَشِيرَةً بَعْدَ عَشِيرَةٍ، اثْنَتَي عَشْرَةَ مَدِينَةً مِنْ قَبائِلِ رَأُوبَيْنَ، وَجادَ، وَزَبُولُونَ.

64 A nd the sons of Israel gave to the Levites these cities with their suburbs.

فَأعطَى بَنُو إسْرائِيلَ اللّاوِيِّينَ المُدُنَ وَمَراعِيها.

65 A nd they gave by lot out of the tribe of the sons of Judah and out of the tribe of the sons of Simeon and out of the tribe of the sons of Benjamin, these cities, which are called by their names.

وَأعطُوهُمْ حَسَبَ القُرْعَةِ مِنْ قَبائِلِ يَهُوذا وَشِمْعُونَ وَبَنْيامِيْنَ. هَذِهِ المُدُنُ الَّتِي ذُكِرَتْ بِالاسْمِ.

66 A nd the residue of the families of the sons of Kohath had cities with their borders out of the tribe of Ephraim.

وَأُعطِيَ بَعْضٌ مِنْ عَشائِرِ بَنِي قَهاتَ مُدُناً مِنْ قَبِيلَةِ أفْرايِمَ لِتَكُونَ مَساكِنَ لَهُمْ.

67 A nd they gave unto them, of the cities of refuge, Shechem in Mount Ephraim with her suburbs; they gave also Gezer with her suburbs,

فَأعطُوهُم مُدُنَ اللُّجُوءِ: شَكِيمَ وَمَراعِيها فِي مِنْطَقَةِ أفْرايِمَ الجَبَلِيَّةِ، وَجازَرَ وَمَراعِيها،

68 a nd Jokmeam with her suburbs and Bethhoron with her suburbs,

وَيَقْمَعامَ وَمَراعِيها، وَبَيتَ حُورُونَ وَمَراعِيها.

69 a nd Aijalon with her suburbs and Gathrimmon with her suburbs.

وَأيَّلُونَ وَمَراعِيها، وَجَتَّ رِمُّونَ وَمَراعِيها.

70 A nd out of the half tribe of Manasseh; Aner with her suburbs and Bileam with her suburbs, for the family of the remnant of the sons of Kohath.

وَأعطَى بَنُو إسْرائِيلَ نِصْفَ قَبِيلَةِ مَنَسَّى عانِيرَ وَمَراعِيها، وَبِلْعامَ وَمَراعِيها لِبَقِيَّةِ عَشائِرِ بَنِي قَهاتَ. عَشائرُ اُخرَى للّاويّين

71 U nto the sons of Gershon were given out of the family of the half tribe of Manasseh, Golan in Bashan with her suburbs and Ashtaroth with her suburbs;

وَأعطَى بَنُو إسْرائِيلَ لِأبْناءِ جَرْشُومَ مِنْ عَشِيرَةِ نِصْفِ مَنَسَّى جُولانَ فِي باشانَ وَمَراعِيها، وَعَشْتارُوثَ وَمَراعِيها،

72 a nd out of the tribe of Issachar; Kedesh with her suburbs, Daberath with her suburbs,

وَمِنْ قَبِيلَةِ يَسّاكِرَ قادَشَ وَمَراعِيها، وَدَبَرَةَ وَمَراعِيها،

73 a nd Ramoth with her suburbs, and Anem with her suburbs;

وَرامُوثَ وَمَراعِيها، وَعانِيمَ وَمَراعِيها.

74 a nd out of the tribe of Asher, Mashal with her suburbs and Abdon with her suburbs

وَمِنْ قَبِيلَةِ أشِيرَ مَشْآلَ وَمَراعِيها، وَعَبْدُونَ وَمَراعِيها،

75 a nd Hukok with her suburbs and Rehob with her suburbs.

وَحُقُوقَ وَمَراعِيها، وَرَحُوبَ وَمَراعِيها.

76 A nd out of the tribe of Naphtali; Kedesh in Galilee with her suburbs and Hammon with her suburbs and Kirjathaim with her suburbs.

وَمِنْ قَبِيلَةِ نَفْتالِي قادَشَ فِي الجَلِيلِ وَمَراعِيها، وَحَمُّونَ وَمَراعِيها، وَقَرْيَتَايِمَ وَمَراعِيها.

77 U nto the rest of the sons of Merari were given out of the tribe of Zebulun, Rimmon with her suburbs, Tabor with her suburbs;

وَأعطَى بَنُو إسْرائِيلَ لِبَقِيَّةِ أبْناءِ مَرارِي مِنْ قَبِيلَةِ زَبُولُونَ: يَقْنَعامَ وَمَراعِيها، وَقَرْتَةَ وَمَراعِيها، وَرِمُّونُو وَمَراعِيها، وَتابُورُ وَمَراعِيها.

78 a nd on the other side of the Jordan by Jericho, on the east side of the Jordan, were given them out of the tribe of Reuben, Bezer in the wilderness with her suburbs and Jahzah with her suburbs,

وَعَبْرَ نَهْرِ الأُردُنِّ مِنْ أرِيحا، عَلَى الجانِبِ الشَّرْقِيِّ مِنَ الأُردُنِّ. وَمِنْ قَبِيلَةِ رَأُوبَيْنَ، باصَرَ فِي البَرِّيَّةِ وَمَراعِيها، وَيَهْصَةَ وَمَراعِيها،

79 K edemoth also with her suburbs and Mephaath with her suburbs;

وَقَدِيمُوتَ وَمَراعِيها، وَمَيْفَعَةَ وَمَراعِيها،

80 a nd out of the tribe of Gad; Ramoth in Gilead with her suburbs and Mahanaim with her suburbs,

وَمِنْ قَبِيلَةِ جادَ رامُوثَ فِي جِلْعادَ وَمَراعِيها، وَمَحَنايِمَ وَمَراعِيها،

81 a nd Heshbon with her suburbs and Jazer with her suburbs.

وَحَشْبُونَ وَمَراعِيها، وَيَعزِيرَ وَمَراعِيها.
