1 ¶ Now those that sealed were, Nehemiah, the Tirshatha, the son of Hachaliah, and Zidkijah,

وَخَتَمَ العَهْدَ المَكْتُوبَ الوالِي نَحَمْيا بْنُ حَكَلْيا وَصِدْقِيا

2 S eraiah, Azariah, Jeremiah,

وَسَرايا وَعَزَرْيا وَيَرَمْيا

3 P ashur, Amariah, Malchijah,

وَفَشْحُورُ وَأمَرْيا وَمَلْكِيا

4 H attush, Shebaniah, Malluch,

وَحَطُّوشُ وَشَبَنْيا وَمَلُّوخُ

5 H arim, Meremoth, Obadiah,

وَحارِيمُ وَمَرِيمُوثُ وَعُوبَدْيا

6 D aniel, Ginnethon, Baruch,

وَدانيالُ وَجِنْتُونُ وَبارُوخُ

7 M eshullam, Abijah, Mijamin,

وَمَشُلّامُ وَأبِيّا وَمَيّامِينُ

8 M aaziah, Bilgai, and Shemaiah: these were priests.

وَمَعَزْيا وَيَلْجايُ وَشَمَعْيا. هَذِهِ أسْماءُ الكَهَنَةِ الَّذِينَ خَتَمُوا العَهْدَ.

9 A nd the Levites: both Jeshua, the son of Azaniah, Binnui of the sons of Henadad, Kadmiel;

أمّا الَّلاوِيُّونَ الَّذِينَ خَتَمُوهُ فَهُمْ يَشُوعُ بْنُ أزَنْيا وَبِنُّويُ – وَهُوَ مِنْ نَسلِ حِينادادَ – وَقَدْمِيئِيلُ،

10 a nd their brethren, Shebaniah, Hodijah, Kelita, Pelaiah, Hanan,

وَأقْرِباؤُهُم: شَبَنْيا وَهُودِيّا وَقِلِيطا وَفَلايا وَحانانُ

11 M icha, Rehob, Hashabiah,

وَمِيخا وَرَحُوبُ وَحَشَبْيا

12 Z accur, Sherebiah, Shebaniah,

وَزَكُّورُ وَشَرَبْيا وَشَبَنْيا

13 H odijah, Bani, Beninu.

وَهُودِيّا وَبانِي وَبَنِينُو.

14 T he heads of the people; Parosh, Pahathmoab, Elam, Zatthu, Bani,

وَمِنْ قادَةُ الشَّعبِ فَرْعُوشُ وَفَحَثُ مُوآبُ وَعِيلامُ وَزَتُّو وَبانِي

15 B unni, Azgad, Bebai,

وَبُنِّي وَعَزْجَدُ وَبِيبايُ

16 A donijah, Bigvai, Adin,

وَأدُونِيّا وَبَغْوايُ وَعادِينُ

17 A ter, Hizkijah, Azzur,

وَآطِيرُ وَحَزَقِيّا وَعَزُّورُ

18 H odijah, Hashum, Bezai,

وَهُودِيّا وَحَشُّومُ وَبِيصايُ

19 H ariph, Anathoth, Nebai,

وَحارِيفُ وَعَناثُوثُ وَنِيبايُ

20 M agpiash, Meshullam, Hezir,

وَمَجفِيعاشُ وَمَشُلّامُ وَحَزِيرُ

21 M eshezabeel, Zadok, Jaddua,

وَمَشِيزَبْئِيلُ وَصادُوقُ وَيَدُّوعُ

22 P elatiah, Hanan, Anaiah,

وَفَلَطْيا وَحانانُ وَعَنايا

23 H osea, Hananiah, Hashub,

وَهُوشَعُ وَحَنَنْيا وَحَشُّوبُ

24 H allohesh, Pileha, Shobek,

وَهَلُّوحِيشُ وَفِلْحا وَشُوبِيقُ

25 R ehum, Hashabnah, Maaseiah,

وَرَحُومُ وَحَشَبْنا وَمَعْسِيّا

26 A hijah, Hanan, Anan,

وَأخِيّا وَحانانُ وَعانانُ

27 M alluch, Harim, Baanah.

وَمَلُّوخُ وَحَرِيمُ وَبَغْنَةُ.

28 A nd the rest of the people, the priests, the Levites, the porters, the singers, the Nethinims, and all those that had separated themselves from the peoples of the lands unto the law of God, their wives, their sons, and their daughters, every one having knowledge and having understanding;

وَبَقِيَّةُ الشَّعبِ مِنَ الكَهَنَةِ وَالَّلاوِيِّينَ وَحُرّاسِ الأبوابِ وَالمُرَنِّمِينَ وَخُدّامِ الهَيكَلِ، وَجَمِيعُ الَّذِينَ قَرَّرُوا أنْ لا يَختَلِطُوا بِالشُّعُوبِ المُجاوِرَةِ لِكَي يَحفَظُوا شَرِيعَةَ اللهِ،

29 S trengthened with their brethren, their nobles, they came forward in an oath with a curse that they would walk in God’s law, which was given by the hand of Moses, the slave of God, and observe and do all the commandments of the LORD our Lord, and his judgments and his statutes;

انضَمُّوا مَعَ زَوْجاتِهِمْ وَأبنائِهِمْ وَبَناتِهِمْ وَجَمِيعِ الفاهِمِينَ، إلَى أقْرِبائِهِمِ الأشْرافِ، وَوَعَدُوا وَعْداً مَرْبُوطاً بِلَعْنَةٍ بِأنْ يَتَّبِعُوا شَرِيعَةَ اللهِ الَّتِي أعطاها لِخادِمِهِ مُوسَى، وَأنْ يَحْرِصُوا عَلَى إطاعَةِ جَمِيعِ وَصايا اللهِ ، رَبِّنا وَإلَهِنا، وَفَرائِضِهِ وَتَعالِيمِهِ.

30 a nd that we would not give our daughters unto the peoples of the land nor take their daughters for our sons.

قالُوا: «نَعِدُ بِأنْ لا نُزَوِّجَ بَناتَنا لِلشُّعُوبِ الأُخرَى فِي الأرْضِ، وَألّا نُزَوِّجَ أبناءَنا مِنْ بَناتِهِمْ.

31 L ikewise that if the peoples of the land bring merchandise or any food on the sabbath day to sell, that we would not take anything from them on the sabbath or on the holy day, and that we would leave the seventh year and remit every debt.

وَإذا جاءَ تُجّارٌ مِنْ هَذِهِ الشُّعُوبِ يَحمِلُونَ قَمْحاً أوْ أيَّةَ بِضاعَةٍ فِي يَوْمِ السَّبْتِ المُخَصَّصِ للهِ، أوْ أيِّ يَوْمٍ مُقَدَّسٍ آخَرَ، فَلَنْ نَشْتَرِيَ مِنْهُمْ. لَنْ نَفلَحَ الأرْضَ فِي السَّنَةِ السّابِعَةِ مِنْ أجلِ مَحصُولٍ. وَسَنُلْغِي كُلَّ دَينٍ فِي تِلْكَ السَّنَةِ، وَسَنُعِيدُ كُلَّ ما أخَذْناهُ كَرَهْنٍ وَضَمانٍ لاسْتِرْجاعِ الدَّينِ.

32 ¶ Also we made ordinances for us, to charge ourselves yearly with the third part of a shekel for the service of the house of our God,

«وَنَتَعَهَّدُ بِدَفْعِ ثُلُثَ مِثْقالٍ مِنَ الفِضَّةِ لِلإنْفاقِ عَلَى خِدْمَةِ بَيتِ إلَهِنا.

33 f or the showbread and for the continual present and for the continual burnt offering, and of the sabbaths and of the new moons, for the appointed feasts and for the holy things and for the atonement for sin to reconcile Israel and for all the work of the house of our God.

مِنْ أجلِ الخُبْزِ الَّذِي يُوضَعُ عَلَى المائِدَةِ، وَتَقْدِماتِ الدَّقِيقِ وَالتَّقْدِماتِ اليَوْمِيَّةِ للهِ، وَتَقْدِماتِ السَّبُوتِ وَاوائِلِ الشُّهُورِ وَالأعيادِ وَالتَّقْدِماتِ المُقَدَّسَةِ، وَذَبائِحِ الخَطِيَّةِ لِلتَّطْهِيرِ وَالتَّكْفِيرِ عَنْ شَعبِ اللهِ، وَمِنْ أجلِ القِيامِ بِكُلِّ الأعمالِ وَالواجِباتِ المَطلُوبَةِ فِي هَيكَلِ إلَهِنا.

34 A nd we cast the lots among the priests, the Levites, and the people, regarding the wood offering, to bring it into the house of our God, according to the houses of our fathers, at times appointed year by year, to burn upon the altar of the LORD our God, as it is written in the law.

«وَقَدْ ألقَينا، نَحْنُ الكَهَنَةَ وَالَّلاوِيِّينَ وَالشَّعْبَ، القُرْعَةَ حَولَ تَقْدِمَةِ الخَشَبِ مِنْ أجلِ تَرْتِيبِ إحضارِ الأخشابِ إلَى بَيتِ إلَهِنا فِي الأوقاتِ المُحَدَّدَةِ كُلَّ عامٍ، لِتُحرَقَ عَلَى مَذْبَحِ إلَهِنا ، كَما هُوَ مَكتُوبٌ وَمَطلُوبٌ فِي الشَّرِيعَةِ.

35 A nd that each year we would bring the firstfruits of our ground and the firstfruits of all fruit of all trees, unto the house of the LORD.

«كَما نَتَعَهَّدُ بِأنْ نُحضِرَ إلَى بَيتِ اللهِ أوَّلَ ثِمارِ مَحاصِيلِنا وَثِمارِ كُلِّ شَجَرَةٍ مُثْمِرَةٍ كُلَّ عامٍ.

36 L ikewise, the firstborn of our sons and of our beasts, as it is written in the law and that we would bring the firstlings of our cows and of our sheep to the house of our God, unto the priests that minister in the house of our God.

«كَما تَقُولُ الشَّرِيعَةُ، نَتَعَهَّدَ بِأنْ نُحْضِرَ أوَّلَ طِفلٍ مَولُودٍ لَنا وَلِمَواشِينا وَقُطْعانِنا إلَى الكَهَنَةِ الَّذِينَ يَخدِمُونَ فِي بَيتِ إلَهِنا.

37 A nd that we would also bring the firstfruits of our dough and of our offerings and the fruit of every tree, of the wine and of the oil, unto the priests, to the chambers of the house of our God, and the tithe of our ground unto the Levites, that the same Levites might have the tenths of our labours in all the cities.

«وَسَنُحضِرُ أيضاً إلَى مَخازِنِ بَيتِ إلَهِنا، إلَى الكَهَنَةِ، أوَّلَ عَجِينِنا وَتَبَرُّعاتِنا وَثَمَرَ كُلِّ شَجَرَةٍ، وَنَبِيذاً وَزَيتاً. وَسَنُحضِرُ لِلّاوِيِّينَ عُشْرَ مَحاصِيلِ أرْضِنا. وَسَيَجمَعُ الَّلاوِيُّونَ هَذِهِ الأعشارَ فِي كُلِّ المُدُنْ الَّتِي نَعْمَلُ فِيها.

38 A nd that the priest, the son of Aaron, shall be with the Levites when the Levites receive tithes; and the Levites shall offer the tithe of the tithes in the house of our God, to the chambers, in the treasure house.

وَسَيَكُونُ الكاهِنُ، وَهُوَ مِنْ نَسلِ هارُونَ، مَعَ الَّلاوِيِّينِ عِنْدَما يَجمَعُونَ الأعشارَ. وَسَيُحضِرُ الَّلاوِيُّونَ عُشْرَ هَذِهِ الأعشارِ إلَى بَيتِ إلَهِنا وَيَضَعُونَها فِي المَخازِنِ.

39 F or the sons of Israel and the sons of Levi shall bring the offering of the grain, of the new wine and the oil, unto the chambers where are the vessels of the sanctuary and the priests that minister and the porters and the singers; and we will not forsake the house of our God.

لِأنَّهُ يَنْبَغِي أنْ يُحضِرَ بَنُو إسْرائِيلَ وَالَّلاوِيُّونَ تَبَرُّعاتِ القَمْحِ وَالنَّبيذِ الجَدِيدِ وَالزَّيتِ إلَى المَخازِنِ حَيثُ آنِيَةُ الهَيكَلِ، وَحَيثُ الكَهَنَةُ الَّذِينَ يَخدِمُونَ وَحُرّاسُ الأبوابِ وَالحَرَسُ المُرَنِّمُونَ. «وَنَعِدُ بِأنْ لا نُهْمِلَ بَيْتَ إلَهِنا.»
