1 ¶ Let the LORD hear thee in the day of trouble; let the name of the God of Jacob lift thee up

لَيْتَ اللهَ يَستَجِيبُ لَكَ فِي ضِيقِكَ. لَيْتَ اسْمَ إلَهِ يَعقُوبَ يَرْفَعُكَ وَيَحْمِيكَ.

2 a nd send thee help from the sanctuary and strengthen thee out of Zion

لَيْتَهُ يُرسِلُ لَكَ عَوْناً مِنْ هَيكَلِ قُدْسِهِ. لَيْتَهُ يَسنِدُكَ مِنْ صِهْيَوْنَ.

3 a nd remember all thy offerings and reduce thy burnt sacrifice to the ashes of burnt fat, Selah.

لَيْتَهُ يَتَذَكَّرُ كُلَّ تَقدِماتِكَ مِنَ الدَّقِيقِ، وَيَقبَلُ ذَبِيحَتَكَ. سِلاهْ

4 G rant thee according to thine heart and fulfil all thy counsel.

لَيتَهُ يُعطِيكَ مُشْتَهَياتِ قَلْبِكَ، لَيتَهُ يُنجِحُ كُلَّ خُطَطِكَ.

5 W e will rejoice in thy saving health, and in the name of our God we will be standard-bearers: let the LORD fulfil all thy petitions.

لَيتَنا نَفرَحُ بِنَصْرِكَ، وَنَبْتَهِجُ بِاسْمِ إلَهِنا. وَلَيتَ اللهَ يُحَقِّقُ كُلَّ طِلْباتِكَ.

6 ¶ Now know I that the LORD has kept his anointed; he will hear him from the heavens of his holiness with the saving valour of his right hand.

عَرَفْتُ الآنَ أنَّ اللهَ سَيُنَجِّي مَلِكَهُ المَمسُوحَ. سَيَستَجِيبُ مِنْ سَماواتِهِ المُقَدَّسَةِ، وَبِيَمِينِهِ سَيُحرِزُ نَصْراً عَظِيماً.

7 S ome trust in chariots and some in horses, but we will remember the name of the LORD our God.

بَعضُهُمْ يَفتَخِرُ بِمَركَباتِهِ، وَبَعضُهُمْ بِخَيلِهِ. أمّا نَحنُ فَنَذْكُرُ اسْمَ إلَهِنا وَنَفْتَخِرُ بِهِ.

8 T hey are brought down and fallen, but we are risen and stand upright.

هَؤُلاءِ يَسقُطُونَ وَيُخضَعُونَ. أمّا نَحنُ فَنَصْمِدُ وَنَغلِبُ.

9 T he LORD saves the king; let him hear us on the day when we call.

يَستِجِيبُ لَنا اللهُ حِينَ نَدعُوهُ، وَسَيَنصُرُ المَلِكَ.
