1 ¶ Now well along on the sabbath, as it began to dawn on the first of the sabbaths, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre.

وَبَعْدَ انتِهاءِ يَومِ السَّبْتِ، فِي أوَّلِ يَومٍ فِي الأُسبُوعِ، جاءَتْ مَريَمُ المَجدَلِيَّةُ، وَمَريَمُ الأُخرَى إلَى القَبْرِ.

2 A nd, behold, there was a great earthquake, for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven and came and rolled back the stone from the door and sat upon it.

فَحَدَثَتْ فِي تِلْكَ اللَّحظَةِ هِزَّةٌ أرْضِيَّةٌ قَوِيَّةٌ، لِأنَّ مَلاكَ الرَّبِّ نَزَلَ مِنَ السَّماءِ، وَذَهَبَ إلَى القَبْرِ وَدَحرَجَ الحَجَرَ عَنِ البابِ، ثُمَّ جَلَسَ عَلَيهِ.

3 H is countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow;

وَكانَ مَنظَرُهُ لامِعاً كَالبَرقِ، وَثِيابُهُ بَيضاءَ كَالثَّلْجِ.

4 a nd for fear of him the guards shook and became as dead men.

فَخافَ الحُرّاسُ مِنْهُ جِدّاً وَصارُوا كَأمواتٍ.

5 A nd the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye, for I know that ye seek Jesus, who was crucified.

وَقالَ المَلاكُ لِلمَرأتَينِ: «لا تَخافا، أعرِفُ أنَّكُما تَبحَثانِ عَنْ يَسُوعَ الَّذِي صُلِبَ.

6 H e is not here, for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.

إنَّهُ لَيسَ مَوجُوداً هُنا، فَقَدْ قامَ مِنَ المَوتِ كَما سَبَقَ وَقالَ. تَعالَيا وَانظُرا المَكانَ الَّذِي كانَ فِيهِ،

7 A nd go quickly and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and, behold, he goes before you into Galilee; there ye shall see him; behold, I have told you.

ثُمَّ اذهَبا سَرِيعاً إلَى تَلامِيذِهِ وَقُولا لَهُمْ: قَدْ قامَ مِنَ المَوتِ، وَسَيَسبِقُكُمْ إلَى الجَلِيلِ، وَسَتَرَوْنَهُ هُناكَ. ها أنا قَدْ أخبَرْتُكُما.»

8 A nd they departed quickly from the sepulchre with fear and great joy and ran to bring his disciples word.

حِينَئِذٍ غادَرَتِ المَرأتانِ القَبْرَ سَرِيعاً وَقَدِ اخْتَلَطَ خَوفُهُما بِفَرَحٍ كَبيرٍ، وَرَكَضَتا لِتُخبِرا تَلامِيذَ يَسُوعَ بِما حَدَثَ.

9 A nd as they went to tell his disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, Receive joy. And they came and held him by the feet and worshipped him.

وَفَجأةً التَقاهُما يَسُوعُ، وَقالَ: «سَلامٌ.» فَاقتَرَبَتا إلَيهِ، وَأمسَكَتا بِقَدَميهِ، وَسَجَدَتا لَهُ.

10 T hen Jesus said unto them, Be not afraid; go tell my brothers that they may go into Galilee, and there they shall see me.

فَقالَ لَهُما يَسُوعُ: «لا تَخافا، اذهَبا وَأخبِرا إخْوَتِي بِأنْ يَذْهَبُوا إلَى الجَلِيلِ، فَسَيَرونَنِي هُناكَ.» التَّقريرُ الكاذِب

11 ¶ Now when they were going, behold, some of the guard came into the city and reported unto the chief priests all the things that were done.

وَبَينَما كانَتِ المَرأتانِ فِي طَرِيقِهِما، ذَهَبَ بَعضُ الحُرّاسِ إلَى المَدِينَةِ، وَأخبَرُوا كِبارَ الكَهَنَةِ بِكُلِّ ماَ حَدَثَ.

12 A nd when they were assembled with the elders and had taken counsel, they gave a large amount of money to the soldiers,

فَاجتَمَعَ كِبارُ الكَهَنَةِ بِالشُّيُوخِ، وَتَشاوَرُوا فِيما بَينَهُمْ، ثُمَّ أعطُوا الجُندَ مالاً كَثِيراً،

13 s aying, Say ye, His disciples came by night and stole him away while we slept.

وَقالُوا لَهُمْ: «أشيعوا بَينَ النّاسِ أنَّ تَلامِيذَ يَسُوعَ جاءُوا فِي اللَّيلِ وَسَرَقُوا جَسَدَهُ بَينَما أنتُمْ نِيامٌ.

14 A nd if this comes to the governor’s ears, we will persuade him and make you secure.

وَإنْ وَصَلَ هَذا الخَبَرُ إلَى الوالِي، فَإنَّنا سَنُقنِعُهُ، وَنُبقِيكُمْ آمِنينَ.»

15 S o they took the money and did as they were taught, and this saying is commonly reported among the Jews until this day.

فَأخَذَ الجُنُودُ المالَ، وَعَمِلُوا كَما قِيلَ لَهُمْ. وَهَكَذا انتَشَرَتْ هَذِهِ القِصَّةُ بَينَ اليَهُودِ إلَى هَذا اليَومِ. يَسُوعُ يَتَكَلَّمُ إلَى تَلامِيذِه

16 ¶ Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, into the mountain where Jesus had appointed them.

وَذَهَبَ الأحَدَ عَشَرَ تِلمِيذاً إلَى الجَلِيلِ، إلَى الجَبَلِ الَّذِي أخبَرَهُمْ يَسُوعُ أنْ يَذهَبُوا إلَيهِ.

17 A nd when they saw him, they worshipped him; but some doubted.

وَعِندَما رَأوهُ سَجَدُوا لَهُ، مَعَ أنَّهُ كانَتْ لَدَى بَعضِهِمْ شُكُوكٌ.

18 A nd Jesus came and spoke unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.

فَتَقَدَّمَ يَسُوعُ إلَيْهِمْ وَقالَ: «أُعطِيَ لِي كُلُّ سُلطانٍ فِي السَّماءِ وَعَلَى الأرْضِ.

19 G o ye therefore and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,

فَاذهَبُوا، وَتَلمِذُوا جَمِيعَ أُمَمِ الأرْضِ، وَعَمِّدوهُمْ بِاسْمِ الآبِ وَالابْنِ وَالرُّوحِ القُدُسِ،

20 t eaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you; and, behold, I am with you always even unto the end of the age. Amen.

وَعَلِّمُوهُمْ أنْ يُطِيعُوا كُلَّ ما أوصَيتُكُمْ بِهِ. وَتَذَكَّرُوا أنِّي سَأكُونُ مَعَكُمْ دائِماً، وَإلَى نِهايَةِ الدَّهْرِ.»
