1 ¶ I saw the Lord standing upon the altar, and he said, Smite the threshold and shake the doors and cut the head of them all into pieces; and I will slay the last of them with the sword; there shall be none of them left to flee away or to escape.

رَأيتُ الرَّبَّ واقِفاً بِجانِبِ المَذبَحِ، فَقالَ: «اضرِبْ رَأسَ الأعمِدَةِ كَي تَهتَزَّ حَتَّى الأعتابُ. حَطِّمْها عَلَى رُؤُوسِ كُلِّ الشَّعبِ، وَأمّا بَقِيَّتُهُمْ فَسَأقتُلُهُمْ بِالسَّيفِ. لَنْ يُفلِتَ مِنهُمْ أحَدٌ، لَنْ يَهرُبَ مِنهُمْ أحَدٌ.

2 T hough they dig unto Sheol, from there shall my hand take them; though they climb up to heaven, from there I will bring them down;

إنْ حَفَرُوا إلَى الهاوِيَةِ، فَسَتَأخُذُهُمْ يَدِي مِنْ هُناكَ. وَإنْ صَعِدُوا إلَى السَّماءِ، فَسَأُنزِلهُمْ مِنْ هُناكَ.

3 a nd though they hide themselves in the top of Carmel, I will search and take them out of there; and though they hide from my sight in the bottom of the sea, from there will I command the serpent, and he shall bite them:

إنِ اختَبَأُوا عَلَى قِمَّةِ جَبَلِ الكَرْمَلِ، فَسَأجِدُهُمْ وَآخُذُهُمْ مِنْ هُناكَ. وَإنِ استَتَرُوا فِي أعماقِ البَحرِ لِكَي لا أراهُمْ، فَسآمُرُ الحَيَّةَ فَتَلدَغَهُمْ.

4 a nd though they go into captivity before their enemies, from there I will command the sword, and it shall slay them: and I will set my eyes upon them for evil, and not for good.

وَإنْ سارُوا فِي السَّبيِ أمامَ أعدائِهِمْ، فَهُناكَ سَآمُرُ السَّيفَ فَيَقتُلهُمْ. وَسَأُثَبِّتُ عَينِي عَلَيهِمْ لِضَرَرِهِمْ لا لِخَيرِهِمْ.»

5 T he Lord GOD of the hosts is he that touches the earth, and it shall melt, and all that dwell therein shall mourn: and it shall all rise up like a river and shall be sunk, as the river of Egypt.

الرَّبُّ الإلَهُ القَدِيرُ، هُوَ الَّذِي يَلمِسُ الأرْضَ فَتَذُوبُ، وَيَنُوحُ كُلُّ السّاكِنِينَ فِيها، وَتَرتَفِعُ كَنَهرِ النِّيلِ، ثُمَّ تَغُوصُ كَنِيلِ مِصرَ،

6 H e that built his degrees in the heaven and has founded his gathering upon the earth; he that calls the waters of the sea and pours them out upon the face of the earth: The LORD is his name.

الَّذِي بَنَى عَلياءَهُ فِي السَّماءِ، وَأسَّسَ قُبَّةَ السَّماءِ فَوقَ الأرْضِ. الَّذِي يَدعُو مِياهَ البَحرِ، وَيَسكُبُها عَلَى وَجهِ الأرْضِ، يهوه اسْمُهُ.

7 O sons of Israel, Are ye not as sons of the Ethiopians unto me, said the LORD? Have not I brought up Israel out of the land of Egypt? and the Palestinians from Caphtor, and the Syrians from Kir?

يَقُولُ اللهُ: «هَلْ أنتُمْ كَالكُوشِيِّينَ بِالنِّسبَةِ لِي، يا بَنِي إسْرائِيلَ؟ ألَمْ أُخرِجْ إسْرائِيلَ مِنَ أرْضِ مِصرَ، وَالفِلِسطِيِّينَ مِنْ كَفتُورَ، وَأرام مِنْ قِيرَ؟

8 B ehold, the eyes of the Lord GOD are against the sinful kingdom, and I will destroy it from off the face of the earth saving that I will not utterly destroy the house of Jacob, said the LORD.

قَدْ ثَبَّتُّ عَينِي، أنا الرَّبَّ الإلَهَ ، عَلَى المَملَكَةِ الخاطِئَةِ، وَأنا سَأمْحُوها عَنْ وَجهِ الأرْضِ، لَكِنِّي لَنْ أمْحوَ عائِلَةَ يَعقُوبَ بِالكامِلِ،» يَقُولُ اللهُ.

9 F or, behold, I will command, and I will cause the house of Israel to be sifted among all the Gentiles like as the grain is sifted in a sieve, yet shall not the least grain fall to the earth.

«لِأنِّي سَأُعطِي أمراً، وَسَأهُزُّ عائِلَةَ إسْرائِيلَ بَينَ كُلِّ الأُمَمِ، كَما تُهَزُّ الحَصَى فِي الغِربالِ دُونَ أنْ تَقَعَ حَصاةٌ إلَى الأرْضِ عَبرَ ثُقُوبِهِ.

10 A ll the sinners of my people shall die by the sword, who say, For our sake the evil shall not come near nor overtake us.

كُلُّ الخُطاةِ فِي شَعبِي سَيَمُوتُونَ بِالسَّيفِ، الَّذِينَ يَقُولُونَ: ‹لَنْ يَأتِيَنا الضَّرَرُ أوْ يَطرَحَنا.›» وَعدُ اللهِ بِرَدِّ السَّبي

11 ¶ In that day I will raise up the tabernacle of David that is fallen and close up its breaches; and I will raise up its ruins, and I will build it as in the days of old:

«فِي ذَلِكَ الوَقتِ، سَأُقِيمُ خَيمَةَ داوُدَ السّاقِطَةَ، وَسَأسُدُّ الثَغَراتِ فِي أسوارِها. سَأُصلِحُ خَرائِبَها، وَسَأُعِيدُ بِناءَها كَما كانَتْ قَدِيماً،

12 t hat those who are called by my name may possess the remnant of Edom and all the Gentiles, said the LORD that does this.

كَي يَمتَلِكُوا ما بَقِيَ مِنْ أدُومَ، وَما بَقِيَ مِنْ كُلِّ الأُمَمِ الَّذِينَ كانُوا لِي،» يَقُولُ اللهُ الَّذِي سَيَعمَلُ هَذِهِ الأُمُورَ.

13 B ehold, the days come, saith the LORD, that the plowman shall catch up with the reaper, and the treader of grapes with him that sows seed; and the mountains shall drop new wine, and all the hills shall melt.

يَقُولُ اللهُ: «سَيَأتِي الوَقتُ حِينَ سَيَستَمِرُّ الحاصِدُ فِي العَمَلِ حَتَّى وَقتِ الحِراثَةِ، وَالَّذِي يَدُوسُ العِنَبَ سَيَستَمِرُّ حَتَّى وَقتِ بَذرِ البُذُورِ. سَيَسِيلُ النَّبِيذُ مِنَ الجِبالِ وَسَتَفِيضُ بِهِ التِّلالُ.

14 A nd I will turn the captivity of my people of Israel, and they shall build the waste cities and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards and drink the wine thereof; they shall also make gardens and eat the fruit of them.

وَسَأُعِيدُ ما سُبِيَ مِنْ ثَرَواتِ شَعبِي، فَيَبنُونَ مُدُناً وَيَسكُنُونَها، وَيَزرَعُونَ كُرُوماً وَيَشرَبُونَ نَبِيذَها، وَيَغرِسُونَ بَساتِينَ وَيَأكُلُونَ ثِمارَها.

15 F or I will plant them upon their land, and they shall no more be pulled up out of their land which I have given them, said the LORD thy God.

وَسَأزرَعُهُمْ عَلَى أرْضِهِمْ، وَلَنْ يَعُودُوا يُقلَعُونَ ثانِيَةً مِنَ الأرْضِ الَّتِي أُعطِيها لَهُمْ،» يَقُولُ إلَهُكَ.
