1 ¶ And the LORD spoke unto Moses, saying,

وَقالَ اللهُ لِمُوسَى:

2 S peak unto all the congregation of the sons of Israel and say unto them, Ye shall be holy, for I the LORD your God am holy.

«قُلْ لِبَنِي إسْرائِيلَ: كُونُوا مُقَدَّسينَ لِأنِّي أنا إلَهَكُمْ قُدُّوسٌ.

3 Y e shall fear, every man his mother and his father and keep my sabbaths. I AM your God.

«لِيُكْرِمْ كُلُّ واحِدٍ مِنكُمْ أباهُ وَأُمَّهُ، وَلَيَحفَظْ جَمِيعَ أيّامِ راحَتِي. أنا إلَهُكُمْ.

4 D o not return unto idols nor make to yourselves molten gods. I AM your God.

«لا تَترُكُونِي وَتَعبُدُوا الأصنامَ. لا تَصنَعُوا لَكُمْ تَماثِيلَ مَعدَنِيَّةً. أنا إلَهُكُمْ.

5 A nd when ye offer a sacrifice of peace unto the LORD, ye shall offer it of your own free will.

«وَحِينَ تُقَدِّمُونَ ذَبِيحَةَ سَلامٍ للهِ ، قَدِّمُوها بِالطَّرِيقَةِ الصَّحِيحَةِ لِتَكُونَ مَقبُولَةً.

6 I t shall be eaten the same day ye offer it and on the next day, and any remaining until the third day shall be burnt in the fire.

يَنبَغِي أنْ تُؤكَلَ فِي يَومِ ذَبحِكُمْ لَها أوِ اليَومِ التّالِي، لَكِنْ ما يَبقَى مِنها فِي اليَومِ الثّالِثِ يَنبَغِي أنْ يُحرَقَ بالنّارِ.

7 A nd if it is eaten at all on the third day, it is abominable; it shall not be accepted;

إنْ أُكِلَ أيُّ شَيءٍ مِنَ الذَّبِيحَةِ فِي اليَومِ الثّالِثِ، فَإنَّها تَصِيرُ فاسِدَةً وَغَيرَ مَقْبُولَةٍ.

8 a nd whoever eats it shall bear his iniquity because he has profaned the holiness of the LORD, and that person shall be cut off from among his people.

مَنْ يَأكُلُها، يَتَحَمَّلُ عُقُوبَةً عَلَى خَطِيَّتِهِ لِأنَّهُ نَجَّسَ أحَدَ الأُمُورِ المُقَدَّسَةِ الخاصَّةِ بِاللهِ ، فَيُقطَعُ مِنَ الشَّعبِ.

9 A nd when ye reap the harvest of your land, thou shalt not completely reap the corners of thy field, neither shalt thou gather the gleanings of thy harvest.

«وَحِينَ تَحصُدُونَ مَحاصِيلَ أرْضِكُمْ، فَلا تَحصُدُوا زَوايا حُقُولِكُمْ، وَلا تَعُودُوا لِجَمعِ ما سَقَطَ عَلَى الأرْضِ.

10 A nd thou shalt not glean thy vineyard, neither shalt thou gather the fallen grapes of thy vineyard; thou shalt leave them for the poor and the stranger. I AM your God.

لا تَلتَقِطُوا كُلَّ عِنَبِ كَرمِكُمْ. وَلا تَلتَقِطُوا العِنَبَ المُتَساقِطَ عَلَى الأرْضِ، بَلِ اتْرُكُوهُ لِلفُقَراءِ وَالغُرَباءِ. أنا إلَهُكُمْ.

11 ¶ Ye shall not steal, neither deal falsely, neither lie one to another.

«لا تَسرِقُوا، وَلا تَغِشُّوا النّاسَ، وَلا تَكذِبُوا أحَدُكُمْ عَلَى الآخَرِ.

12 A nd ye shall not swear by my name falsely, neither shalt thou defile the name of thy God. I am the LORD.

«لا تَحلِفُوا بِاسمِي بِالكَذِبِ، فَتُدَنِّسُوا اسمَ إلَهِكُمْ. أنا يهوه.

13 T hou shalt not defraud thy neighbour, neither rob him. Do not detain the wages of the work of the hired man in thy house until the morning.

«لا تَغتَصِبْ ما لِقَرِيبِكَ وَلا تَسرِقْ. وَلا تَحتَفِظْ بِأُجرَةِ الأجِيرِ إلَى الصُّبحِ.

14 T hou shalt not curse the deaf, nor put a stumblingblock before the blind, but shalt fear thy God. I am the LORD.

«لا تَلعَنْ إنساناً أطرَشَ، وَلا تَضَعْ شَيئاً فِي طَرِيقِ الأعمَى لِيَتَعَثَّرَ بِهِ. خَفْ إلَهَكَ. أنا اللهُ.

15 Y e shall do no unrighteousness in judgment, neither pleasing the poor, nor favoring the mighty; but in righteousness shalt thou judge thy neighbour.

«كُونُوا عادِلِينَ فِي القَضاءِ، فَلا تَتَحَيَّزُوا لِلفُقَراءِ وَالمَساكِينِ، وَلا تُقَدِّمُوا إكراماً خاصّاً لأصْحابِ المَرَاكِزِ. احْكُمْ عَلَى قَرِيبِكَ بِالعَدِلِ.

16 T hou shalt not travel about as a talebearer among thy people; neither shalt thou stand against the blood of thy neighbour. I am the LORD.

«لا تَجُلْ بَينَ شَعبِكَ مُخبِراً بِقِصَصٍ كاذِبَةٍ عَنِ النّاسِ. وَلا تَقِفْ مُتَفَرِّجاً حِينَ تَكُونُ حَياةُ قَرِيبِكَ فِي خَطَرٍ. أنا اللهُ.

17 T hou shalt not hate thy brother in thine heart; thou shalt rebuke thy neighbour in sincerity, that thou not bear sin for him.

«لا تُبغِضْ صَاحِبَكَ فِي قَلبِكَ، لَكِنْ أنذِرْهُ وَعاتِبهُ حِينَ يُخطِئُ، لِئَلّا تَحمِلَ ذَنباً بِسَبَبِهِ.

18 T hou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the sons of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. I am the LORD.

لا تَنتَقِمْ وَلا تَحقِدْ عَلَى أحَدٍ مِنْ شَعبِكَ، بَلْ تُحِبُّ صَاحِبَكَ كَما تُحِبُّ نَفْسَكَ. أنا اللهُ.

19 ¶ Ye shall keep my statutes. Thou shalt not let thy animal join with a diverse kind for mixtures; thou shalt not sow thy field with mixture, neither shalt thou wear garments of a mixture of different things.

«احْفَظْ شَرائِعِي. لا تُهَجِّنْ حَيواناتِكَ مِنْ حَيوانَينِ مُختَلِفَينِ. لا تَزرَعْ حَقلَكَ بِنَوعَينِ مِنَ الحُبُوبِ. لا تَرتَدِ ثِياباً مَصنُوعَةً مِنْ مادَّتَينِ مُختَلِفَتَينِ.

20 A nd when a man lies carnally with a woman that is a bondmaid, betrothed to a husband and has not been completely ransomed nor been given her freedom, both shall be scourged; they shall not be put to death because she is not free.

«إنْ عاشَرَ رَجُلٌ جارِيَةً مَخطُوبَةً لِرَجُلٍ آخَرَ، وَلَمْ يَكُنْ قَدْ تَمَّ تَحْرِيرُها بَعدُ، فَيَنبَغِي أنْ يُعاقَبا. لا يُقتَلا لِأنَّها لَمْ تَكُنْ حُرَّةٌ،

21 A nd he shall bring in expiation for his guilt unto the LORD, unto the door of the tabernacle of the testimony, a ram for expiation of guilt.

لَكِنْ يُحضِرُ الرَّجُلُ كَبْشاً ذَبِيحَةَ ذَنبِهِ إلَى اللهِ عِندَ مَدخَلِ خَيمَةِ الاجْتِماعِ.

22 A nd the priest shall reconcile him with the ram of the guilt before the LORD for his sin which he has committed, and the sin which he has committed shall be forgiven him.

فَيَعمَلُ لَهُ الكاهِنُ فِي حَضرَةِ اللهِ كَفّارَةً بِكَبْشِ ذَبِيحَةِ الذَّنبِ، بِسَبَبِ الخَطِيَّةِ الَّتِي ارتَكَبَها، فَتُغفَرُ لَهُ الخَطِيَّةُ.

23 A nd when ye have come into the land and shall have planted all manner of trees for food, then ye shall circumcise the foreskin of the fruit; three years it shall be uncircumcised unto you; it shall not be eaten of.

«حِينَ تَدخُلُونَ الأرْضَ وَتَزرَعُونَ أشجاراً مُثمِرَةً، لِيَكُنْ ثَمَرُها مُحَرَّماً، فَلا تَأكُلُوا مِنهُ لِثَلاثِ سَنَواتٍ.

24 B ut in the fourth year all the fruit thereof shall be holiness of rejoicing unto the LORD.

لَكِنْ فِي السَّنَةِ الرّابِعَةِ يُعطَى كُلُّ ثَمَرِها كَتَقدِمَةِ تَسبِيحٍ مُقَدَّسَةٍ للهِ.

25 A nd in the fifth year ye shall eat of the fruit thereof that it may yield unto you the increase thereof. I AM your God.

وَفِي السَّنَةِ الخامِسَةِ تَأكُلُونَ مِنْها. هَكَذا سَتَزدادُ غَلَّتُها. أنا إلَهُكُمْ.

26 Y e shall not eat any thing with blood. Ye shall not be fortunetellers, nor diviners.

«لا تَأكُلُوا لَحْماً دَمُهُ فِيهِ. «لا تُحاوِلُوا مَعرِفَةَ المُستَقبَلِ بِاستِخدامِ العَلاماتِ أوِ السِّحرِ.

27 Y e shall not round the corners of your heads, neither shalt thou mar the corners of thy beard.

«لا تَحلِقُوا سَوالِفَكُمْ لِيَصِيرَ شَعرُكُمْ مُستَدِيراً، وَلا تُشَذِّبُوا جَوانِبَ لِحاكُمْ.

28 Y e shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print any marks upon you. I am the LORD.

لا تُجَرِّحُوا أجسادَكُمْ حُزناً عَلَى مَيِّتٍ، وَلا تَضَعُوا وَشماً عَلَى أجْسادِكُمْ. أنا اللهُ.

29 D o not contaminate thy daughter, causing her to commit fornication, lest the land be prostituted, and the land become full of wickedness.

«لا تُهِنِ ابْنَتَكَ بِأنْ تَجعَلَها عاهِرَةً، لِئَلّا يُصبِحَ شَعبُ الأرْضِ زانِياً عاهِراً فَتَمتَلِئُ الأرْضُ مِنَ الشَّرِّ.

30 ¶ Ye shall keep my sabbaths and reverence my sanctuary. I am the LORD.

«احفَظُوا أيّامَ راحَتِي، وَاحتَرِمُوا مَكانِيَ المُقَدَّسَ. أنا اللهُ.

31 D o not return unto spiritists or seek after diviners, to be defiled by them. I AM your God.

«لا تَذهَبُوا إلَى الوُسَطاءِ، وَلا تَطلُبُوا نَصِيحَةَ أصحابِ الجانِ فَتَتَنَجَّسُوا بِهِمْ. أنا إلَهُكُمْ.

32 T hou shalt rise up before grey hair and honour the face of the elder and fear thy God. I am the LORD.

«قِفْ فِي حَضْرَةِ كِبارِ السِّنِّ، أكْرِمْهُمْ وَاحتَرِمْهُمْ. هَبِ القُضاةَ. أنا اللهُ.

33 A nd when a stranger shall sojourn with thee in your land, ye shall not oppress him.

«حِينَ يَكُونُ هُناكَ غَرِيبٌ يَعِيشُ فِي أرْضِكَ فَلا تُسِئْ مُعامَلَتَهُ.

34 B ut the stranger that dwells with you shall be as the natural of yourselves, and thou shalt love him as thyself; for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt. I AM your God.

الغَرِيبُ الَّذِي يَعِيشُ مَعَكُمْ يَنبَغِي أنْ يَكُونَ كَواحِدٍ مِنَ المُواطِنِينَ. تُحِبُّهُ كَنَفسِكَ. لِأنَّكُمْ أنْتُمْ أيضاً كُنتُمْ غُرَباءَ فِي أرْضِ مِصْرَ. أنا إلَهُكُمْ.

35 Y e shall do no unrighteousness in judgment, in measurement of land, in weight, or in other measure.

«لا يَنبَغِي أنْ تَظلِمُوا فِي القَضاءِ وَلا فِي قِياسِ الطُّولِ وَالوَزنِ وَالكَمِّيَّةِ.

36 J ust balances, just weights, a just ephah, and a just hin shall ye have. I AM your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt.

يَنبَغِي أنْ تَكُونَ مَوازِينُكُمْ صَحِيحَةً فِي قِياسِ الأوزانِ وَالكَمِّيّاتِ لِلحُبُوبِ وَالسَّوائِلِ. أنا إلَهُكُمْ الَّذِي أخرَجَكُمْ مِنْ أرْضِ مِصْرَ.

37 K eep, therefore, all my statutes and all my rights and do them. I am the LORD.

«احفَظُوا شَرائِعِي وَأحكامِي وَاعْمَلُوا بِها. أنا اللهُ.»
