1 ¶ I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the LORD.

فَرِحتُ بِالقائِلِينَ: «هَيّا نَصعَدُ إلَى بَيتِ اللهِ.»

2 O ur feet stood within thy gates, O Jerusalem.

نَقِفُ عِندَ بَوّاباتِكِ يا قُدسُ.

3 J erusalem, that one which is built as a city that is well united together

نَعَمْ، القُدسُ المَدِينَةُ الَّتِي بُنِيَتْ مِنْ جَدِيدٍ مَدِينَةً مُوَحَّدَةً واحِدَةً.

4 B ecause the tribes went up there, the tribes of JAH, the testimony to Israel, to praise the name of the LORD.

تَصعِدُ القَبائِلُ إلَى هُناكَ، قَبائِلُ يهوه لِيَحمَدُوا اسْمَ يهوه، بِحَسَبِ فَرائِضِهِ لِبَنِي إسرائِيلَ.

5 F or there are set thrones of the judgment, the thrones of the house of David.

لأنَّهُ هُناكَ تُقامُ عُرُوشُ العَدلِ، عُرُوشُ نَسلِ داوُدَ.

6 ¶ Pray for the peace of Jerusalem; those that love thee shall be brought into rest.

صَلُّوا مِنْ أجلِ سَلامِ القُدسِ. قُولُوا: «لَيتَ مُحِبِّيكِ يَنعَمُونَ بِالسَّلامِ!

7 P eace be within thy walls and rest within thy palaces.

لَيتَ السَّلامَ يَسكُنُ داخِلَ أسوارِكِ وَقُصُورِكِ.»

8 F or my brethren and companions’ sakes, I will now say, Peace be within thee.

مِنْ أجلِ السَّلامِ فِي القُدسِ أُصَلِّي، مِنْ أجلِ إخْوَتِي وَجِيرانِي.

9 B ecause of the house of the LORD our God, I will seek thy good.

أطلُبُ لَكِ خَيراً مِنْ أجلِ بَيتِ إلَهِنا.
