1 أ بْناءُ لاوِي هُمْ جَرْشُونَ وَقَهاتُ وَمَرارِي.

¶ The sons of Levi: Gershon, Kohath, and Merari.

2 أ بْناءُ قَهاتَ هُمْ عَمْرامُ وَيِصْهارُ وَحَبْرُونُ وَعُزِّيئِيلَ.

The sons of Kohath: Amram, Izhar, Hebron, and Uzziel.

3 أ بْناءُ عَمْرامَ هُمْ هارُونُ وَمُوسَى وَمَرْيَمُ. أبناءُ هارُونَ هُمْ نادابُ وَأبِيهُو وَألِيعِازارُ وَإيثامارُ.

The sons of Amram: Aaron, Moses, and Miriam. The sons of Aaron: Nadab, Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar.

4 و َأنجَبَ ألِيعازارُ فِينَحاسَ. وَأنجَبَ فِينَحاسُ أبِيشُوعَ.

Eleazar begat Phinehas, and Phinehas begat Abishua,

5 و َأنجَبَ أبِيشُوعُ بُقِّي. وَأنجَبَ بُقِّي عُزِّي.

and Abishua begat Bukki, and Bukki begat Uzzi,

6 و َأنجَبَ عُزِّي زَرَحْيا. وَأنجَبَ زَرَحْيا مَرايُوثَ.

and Uzzi begat Zerahiah, and Zerahiah begat Meraioth,

7 و َأنجَبَ مَرايُوثُ أمَرْيا. وَأنجَبَ أمَرْيا أخِيطُوبَ.

and Meraioth begat Amariah, and Amariah begat Ahitub,

8 و َأنجَبَ أخِيطُوبُ صادُوقَ. وَأنجَبُ صادُوقُ أخِيمَعْصَ.

and Ahitub begat Zadok, and Zadok begat Ahimaaz,

9 و َأنجَبَ أخِيمَعْصُ عَزَرْيا. وَأنجَبَ عَزَرْيا يُوحانانَ.

and Ahimaaz begat Azariah, and Azariah begat Johanan,

10 و َأنجَبَ يُوحانانُ عَزَرْيا – وَهُوَ الَّذِي خَدَمَ كَكاهِنٍ فِي الهَيكَلِ الَّذِي بَناهُ سُلَيْمانُ فِي القُدْسِ.

and Johanan begat Azariah, who had the priesthood in the house that Solomon built in Jerusalem,

11 و َأنجَبَ عَزَرْيا أمَرْيا. وَأنجَبَ أمَرْيا أخِيطُوبَ.

and Azariah begat Amariah, and Amariah begat Ahitub,

12 و َأنجَبَ أخِيطُوبُ صادُوقَ. وَأنجَبَ صادُوقُ شَلُّومَ.

and Ahitub begat Zadok, and Zadok begat Shallum,

13 و َأنجَبَ شَلُّومُ حِلْقَيّا. وَأنجَبَ حِلْقَيّا عَزَرْيا.

and Shallum begat Hilkiah, and Hilkiah begat Azariah,

14 و َأنجَبَ عَزَرْيا سَرايا. وَأنجَبَ سَرايا يَهُوصاداقَ.

and Azariah begat Seraiah, and Seraiah begat Jehozadak,

15 و َذَهَبَ يَهُوصاداقُ فِي السَّبْيِ، عِندَما نَفَى اللهُ أهلَ يَهُوذا وَالقُدْسِ عَلَى يَدِ نَبُوخَذْناصَّرَ.

and Jehozadak went into captivity, when the LORD carried away Judah and Jerusalem by the hand of Nebuchadnezzar.

16 أ بْناءُ لاوِي هُمْ جَرْشُونُ وَقَهاتُ وَمَرارِي.

The sons of Levi: Gershon, Kohath, and Merari.

17 ا بْنَا جَرْشُونَ هُما لِبْنِي وَشَمْعَى.

And these are the names of the sons of Gershon: Libni and Shimei.

18 أ بْناءُ قَهاتَ هُمْ عَمْرامُ وَيِصْهارُ وَحَبْرُونُ وَعُزِّيئِيلُ.

The sons of Kohath: Amram, Izhar, Hebron, and Uzziel.

19 ا بْنا مَرارِي هُمْ مَحلِي وَمُوشِي. وَهَذِهِ هِيَ عَشائِرُ اللّاوِيِّينَ المَذْكُورِينَ حَسَبَ آبائِهِمْ:

The sons of Merari: Mahli, Mushi. These are the families of the Levites according to their fathers.

20 ل ِجَرْشُومَ: لِبْنِي بْنُ جَرْشُومَ، وَيَحَثُ بْنُ لِبْنِي، وَزِمَّةُ بْنُ يَحَثَ،

Of Gershon: Libni, his son, Jahath his son, Zimmah his son,

21 و َيُوآخُ بْنُ زِمَّةَ، وَعِدُّو بْنُ يُوآخَ، وَزارَحُ بْنُ عِدُّو، وَيَأَثْرايُ بْنُ زارَحَ.

Joah, his son, Iddo, his son, Zerah, his son, Jeaterai, his son.

22 أ بْناءُ قَهاتَ هُمْ عَمِّينادابُ بْنُ قَهاتَ، وَقُورَحُ بْنُ عَمِّينادابُ، وَأسِّيرُ بْنُ قُورَحَ.

The sons of Kohath: Amminadab, his son, Korah, his son, Assir, his son,

23 أ لقانَةُ بْنُ قُورَحَ، وَأبِياسافُ بْنُ قُورَحَ، وَأسِّيرُ بْنُ أبِياسافَ.

Elkanah, his son, and Ebiasaph, his son, and Assir, his son,

24 و َتَحَثُ بْنُ أسِّيرَ، وَأُورِيئِيلُ بْنُ تَحَثَ، وَعُزِّيّا بْنُ أُورِيئِيلَ، وَشاوُلُ بْنُ عُزِّيّا.

Tahath, his son, Uriel, his son, Uzziah, his son, and Saul, his son.

25 و َابْنا ألقانَةَ هُما عَماسايُ وَأخِيمُوتُ.

The sons of Elkanah: Amasai, Ahimoth, and Elkanah.

26 و َألْقانَةُ بْنُ أخِيمُوتَ، وَصُوفايُ بْنُ ألقانَةَ، وَنَحَثُ بْنُ صُوفايَ.

The sons of Elkanah: Zophai, his son, and Nahath, his son,

27 و َألِيآبُ بْنُ نَحَثَ، وَيَرُوحامُ بْنُ ألِيآبَ، وَألْقانَةُ بْنُ يَرُوحامَ، وَصَمُوئِيلُ بْنُ ألقانَةَ.

Eliab, his son, Jeroham, his son, Elkanah, his son.

28 و َابْنا صَمُوئِيلَ هُما يُوئِيلُ البِكْرُ، وَالثّانِي أبِيّا.

The sons of Samuel: the firstborn Vashni and Abiah.

29 أ بْناءُ مَرارِي هُمْ مَحلِي بْنُ مَرارِي، وَلِبْنِي بْنُ مَحلِي، وَشِمْعَى بْنُ لِبْنِي، وَعُزَّةُ بْنُ شِمْعَى،

The sons of Merari: Mahli, Libni, his son, Shimei, his son, Uzza, his son,

30 و َشِمْعَى بْنُ عُزَّةَ، وَحَجِيّا بْنُ شِمْعَى، وَعَسايا بْنُ حَجِيّا. المُرَنِّمُونَ فِي بَيتِ الله

Shimea, his son, Haggiah, his son, Asaiah, his son.

31 و َهَؤُلاءِ هُمُ الَّذِينَ عَيَّنَهُمْ داوُدُ مُشْرِفِينَ عَلَى التَّسبِيحِ فِي بَيتِ اللهِ بَعْدَ أنْ اسْتَقَرَّ صُنْدُوقُ العَهْدِ فِي القُدْسِ.

¶ And these are they whom David set over the service of song in the house of the LORD, after the ark had rest.

32 و َكانُوا يَخدِمُونَ أمامَ خَيمَةِ الاجْتِماعِ بِالتَّرْنِيمِ، إلَى أنْ بَنَى سُلَيْمانُ بَيتَ اللهِ فِي القُدْسِ. وَقامُوا بِالخِدمَةِ وَفْقَ مَهامِّهِمْ.

And they served before the tent of the tabernacle of the testimony with singing until Solomon had built the house of the LORD in Jerusalem, and then they remained in their ministry according to their right.

33 و َهَذِهِ هِيَ أسْماءُ الَّذِينَ خَدَمُوا، وَأسْماءُ أبْنائِهِمْ: مِنَ القَهاتِيِّينَ هَيْمانُ المُرَنِّمُ، ابْنُ يُوئِيلَ بْنِ صَمُوئِيلَ

And these are those that remained with their sons. Of the sons of the Kohath: Heman, a singer, the son of Joel, the son of Shemuel,

34 ب ْنِ ألقانَةَ بْنِ يَرُوحامَ بْنِ إيلِيئِيلَ بْنِ تُوحَ

the son of Elkanah, the son of Jeroham, the son of Eliel, the son of Toah,

35 ب ْنِ صُوفَ بْنِ ألقانَةَ بْنِ مَحَثَ بْنِ عَماسايَ

the son of Zuph, the son of Elkanah, the son of Mahath, the son of Amasai,

36 ب ْنِ ألقانَةَ بْنِ يُوئِيلَ بْنِ عَزَرْيا بْنِ صَفَنْيا

the son of Elkanah, the son of Joel, the son of Azariah, the son of Zephaniah,

37 ب ْنِ تَحَثَ بْنِ أسِّيرَ بْنِ أبِياسافَ بْنِ قُورَحَ

the son of Tahath, the son of Assir, the son of Ebiasaph, the son of Korah,

38 ب ْنِ يَصْهارَ بْنِ قَهاتَ بْنِ لاوِي بْنِ إسْرائِيلَ.

the son of Izhar, the son of Kohath, the son of Levi, the son of Israel.

39 و َعَنْ يَمِينِهِ، وَقَفَ زَمِيلُهُ آسافُ بْنُ بَرَخْيا بْنِ شَمْعَى،

And his brother Asaph, who stood on his right hand, even Asaph the son of Berachiah, the son of Shimea,

40 ب ْنِ مِيخائِيلَ بْنِ بَعَسْيا بْنِ مَلِكْيا

the son of Michael, the son of Baaseiah, the son of Malchiah,

41 ب ْنِ أثْنايَ بْنِ زارَحَ بْنِ عَدايا

the son of Ethni, the son of Zerah, the son of Adaiah,

42 ب ْنِ أيثانَ بْنِ زِمَّةَ بْنِ شَمْعَى

the son of Ethan, the son of Zimmah, the son of Shimei,

43 ب ْنِ يَحَثَ بْنِ جَرْشُونَ بْنِ لاوِي.

the son of Jahath, the son of Gershon, the son of Levi.

44 و َعَن يَسارِهِم، وَقَفَ زُمَلاؤُهُمْ مِنْ أبْناءِ مَرارِي، وقائِدُهُمْ أيْثانُ بْنُ قِيشِي بْنِ عَبْدِي بْنِ مَلُّوخَ

And their brethren, the sons of Merari, stood on the left hand; Ethan, the son of Kishi, the son of Abdi, the son of Malluch,

45 ب ْنِ حَشَبْيا بْنِ أمَصْيا بْنِ حِلْقِيّا

the son of Hashabiah, the son of Amaziah, the son of Hilkiah,

46 ب ْنِ أمصِي بْنِ بانِي بْنِ سامِرَ

the son of Amzi, the son of Bani, the son of Shamer,

47 ب ْنِ مَحلِي بْنِ مُوشِي بْنِ مَرارِي بْنِ لاوِي.

the son of Mahli, the son of Mushi, the son of Merari, the son of Levi.

48 و َكانَ إخْوَتُهُمُ اللّاوِيُّونَ مُكَرَّسِينَ لِكُلِّ خِدْمَةِ خَيمَةِ اجتِماعِ بَيتِ اللهِ.

Their brethren, also the Levites, were given over unto all the ministry of the tabernacle of the house of God.

49 ل َكِنَّ هارُونَ وَأبْناءَهُ، هُمُ الَّذِينَ كانُوا يُوقِدُونَ كُلَّ الذَّبائِحِ عَلَى مَذْبَحِ الذَّبائِحِ الصّاعِدَةِ. وَيُوقِدونَ النّارَ عَلَى مَذْبَحِ البَخُورِ، بِالإضافَةِ إلَى كُلِّ خِدمَةِ قُدْسِ الأقْداسِ. وَكانُوا يُقَدِّمُونَ ذَبائِحَ لِلتَّكْفِيرِ عَنْ خَطايا إسْرائِيلَ، وَفْقَ كُلِّ ما أمَرَ بِهِ مُوسَى عَبْدُ اللهِ. نَسلُ هارُون

But Aaron and his sons made incense upon the altar of the burnt offering and on the altar of incense, in all the work of the holy of holies, and to make reconciliation for Israel, according to all that Moses, the slave of God, had commanded.

50 و َهَؤُلاءِ هُمْ أبْناءُ هارُونَ: ألِعازَارُ وَفِينَحاسُ وَأِبِيشُوعُ

And these are the sons of Aaron: Eleazar, his son, Phinehas, his son, Abishua, his son,

51 و َبُقِّيُ وَعُزِّيُ وَزَرَحْيا

Bukki, his son, Uzzi, his son, Zerahiah, his son,

52 و َمَرايُوثُ وَأمَرْيا وَأخِيطُوبُ

Meraioth, his son, Amariah, his son, Ahitub, his son,

53 و َصادُوقُ وَأخِيمَعَصَ. أماكِنُ سُكنى اللّاوِيِّين

Zadok, his son, Ahimaaz, his son.

54 و َهَذِهِ هِيَ أماكِنُ سُكْناهُمْ حَسَبَ مُسْتَوطَناتِهِمْ فِي حُدُودِهِمْ. وَقَعَتِ القُرْعَةُ لِبَنِي هارُونَ مِنْ عَشِيرَةِ القَهاتِيِّينَ،

¶ Now these are their dwelling places throughout their palaces in their borders, of the sons of Aaron, of the families of the Kohathites; for theirs was the lot,

55 ف َأعْطُوهُمْ مَدِينَةَ حَبْرُونَ فِي أرْضِ يَهُوذا وَالمَراعِيَ المُحِيطَةَ بِها.

that they gave them Hebron in the land of Judah and its suburbs round about it.

56 أ مّا ضِياعُ المَدِينَةِ وَقُراها فَأُعطِيَتْ لِكالَبَ بْنِ يَفُنَّةَ.

But the fields around the city and its villages, they gave to Caleb the son of Jephunneh.

57 و َأُعطِيَ أبْناءُ هارُونَ مُدُنَ اللُّجُوءِ: حَبْرُونَ، وَلِبْنَةُ وَمَراعِيهِما، وَيَتِّيرُ وَأشْتَمُوعُ وَمَراعِيهِما،

And to the sons of Aaron they gave the cities of refuge of Judah, namely, Hebron and Libnah with their suburbs, and Jattir and Eshtemoa, with their suburbs,

58 و َحِيلِينَ وَمَراعِيها، وَدَبِيرُ وَمَراعِيها،

and Hilen with her suburbs, Debir with her suburbs,

59 و َعاشانُ وَمَراعِيها، وَيَطَّةَ وَمَراعِيها، وَبَيتُ شَمْسٍ وَمَراعِيها.

and Ashan with her suburbs, and Bethshemesh with her suburbs.

60 و َمِنْ قَبِيلَةِ بَنْيامِيْنَ أخَذُوا جِبْعُونَ وَمَراعِيها، وَجَبَعَ وَمَراعِيها، وَعَلْمَثَ وَمَراعِيها، وَعَناثُوثَ وَمَراعِيها. وَكانَ مَجْمُوعُ مُدُنِ عَشائِرِهِمْ ثَلاثَ عَشْرَةَ مَدِينَةً.

And out of the tribe of Benjamin; Geba with her suburbs and Alemeth with her suburbs and Anathoth with her suburbs. All their cities throughout their families were thirteen cities.

61 و َأُعطِيَتْ بَقِيَّةُ أبْناءِ قَهاتَ مِنْ عَشائِرِ القَبِيلَةِ وَمِنْ نِصْفِ قَبِيلَةِ مَنَسَّى عَشْرَ مُدُنٍ.

And unto the sons of Kohath, who were left of that family, they gave ten cities of the half tribe of Manasseh, by lot.

62 و َأُعطِيَ أبْناءُ جَرْشُومَ، عَشِيرَةً بَعْدَ عَشِيرَةٍ، ثَلاثَ عَشْرَةَ مَدِينَةً مِنْ قَبائِلِ يِسّاكَرَ، وَأشِيرَ، وَنَفْتالِي وَنِصْفِ قَبِيلَةِ مَنَسَّى الَّذِينَ كانُوا فِي باشانَ.

And to the sons of Gershon, throughout their families, out of the tribe of Issachar and out of the tribe of Asher and out of the tribe of Naphtali and out of the tribe of Manasseh in Bashan, thirteen cities.

63 و َأُعطِيَ أبْناءُ مَرارِي، عَشِيرَةً بَعْدَ عَشِيرَةٍ، اثْنَتَي عَشْرَةَ مَدِينَةً مِنْ قَبائِلِ رَأُوبَيْنَ، وَجادَ، وَزَبُولُونَ.

Unto the sons of Merari were given by lot, throughout their families, out of the tribe of Reuben and out of the tribe of Gad and out of the tribe of Zebulun, twelve cities.

64 ف َأعطَى بَنُو إسْرائِيلَ اللّاوِيِّينَ المُدُنَ وَمَراعِيها.

And the sons of Israel gave to the Levites these cities with their suburbs.

65 و َأعطُوهُمْ حَسَبَ القُرْعَةِ مِنْ قَبائِلِ يَهُوذا وَشِمْعُونَ وَبَنْيامِيْنَ. هَذِهِ المُدُنُ الَّتِي ذُكِرَتْ بِالاسْمِ.

And they gave by lot out of the tribe of the sons of Judah and out of the tribe of the sons of Simeon and out of the tribe of the sons of Benjamin, these cities, which are called by their names.

66 و َأُعطِيَ بَعْضٌ مِنْ عَشائِرِ بَنِي قَهاتَ مُدُناً مِنْ قَبِيلَةِ أفْرايِمَ لِتَكُونَ مَساكِنَ لَهُمْ.

And the residue of the families of the sons of Kohath had cities with their borders out of the tribe of Ephraim.

67 ف َأعطُوهُم مُدُنَ اللُّجُوءِ: شَكِيمَ وَمَراعِيها فِي مِنْطَقَةِ أفْرايِمَ الجَبَلِيَّةِ، وَجازَرَ وَمَراعِيها،

And they gave unto them, of the cities of refuge, Shechem in Mount Ephraim with her suburbs; they gave also Gezer with her suburbs,

68 و َيَقْمَعامَ وَمَراعِيها، وَبَيتَ حُورُونَ وَمَراعِيها.

and Jokmeam with her suburbs and Bethhoron with her suburbs,

69 و َأيَّلُونَ وَمَراعِيها، وَجَتَّ رِمُّونَ وَمَراعِيها.

and Aijalon with her suburbs and Gathrimmon with her suburbs.

70 و َأعطَى بَنُو إسْرائِيلَ نِصْفَ قَبِيلَةِ مَنَسَّى عانِيرَ وَمَراعِيها، وَبِلْعامَ وَمَراعِيها لِبَقِيَّةِ عَشائِرِ بَنِي قَهاتَ. عَشائرُ اُخرَى للّاويّين

And out of the half tribe of Manasseh; Aner with her suburbs and Bileam with her suburbs, for the family of the remnant of the sons of Kohath.

71 و َأعطَى بَنُو إسْرائِيلَ لِأبْناءِ جَرْشُومَ مِنْ عَشِيرَةِ نِصْفِ مَنَسَّى جُولانَ فِي باشانَ وَمَراعِيها، وَعَشْتارُوثَ وَمَراعِيها،

Unto the sons of Gershon were given out of the family of the half tribe of Manasseh, Golan in Bashan with her suburbs and Ashtaroth with her suburbs;

72 و َمِنْ قَبِيلَةِ يَسّاكِرَ قادَشَ وَمَراعِيها، وَدَبَرَةَ وَمَراعِيها،

and out of the tribe of Issachar; Kedesh with her suburbs, Daberath with her suburbs,

73 و َرامُوثَ وَمَراعِيها، وَعانِيمَ وَمَراعِيها.

and Ramoth with her suburbs, and Anem with her suburbs;

74 و َمِنْ قَبِيلَةِ أشِيرَ مَشْآلَ وَمَراعِيها، وَعَبْدُونَ وَمَراعِيها،

and out of the tribe of Asher, Mashal with her suburbs and Abdon with her suburbs

75 و َحُقُوقَ وَمَراعِيها، وَرَحُوبَ وَمَراعِيها.

and Hukok with her suburbs and Rehob with her suburbs.

76 و َمِنْ قَبِيلَةِ نَفْتالِي قادَشَ فِي الجَلِيلِ وَمَراعِيها، وَحَمُّونَ وَمَراعِيها، وَقَرْيَتَايِمَ وَمَراعِيها.

And out of the tribe of Naphtali; Kedesh in Galilee with her suburbs and Hammon with her suburbs and Kirjathaim with her suburbs.

77 و َأعطَى بَنُو إسْرائِيلَ لِبَقِيَّةِ أبْناءِ مَرارِي مِنْ قَبِيلَةِ زَبُولُونَ: يَقْنَعامَ وَمَراعِيها، وَقَرْتَةَ وَمَراعِيها، وَرِمُّونُو وَمَراعِيها، وَتابُورُ وَمَراعِيها.

Unto the rest of the sons of Merari were given out of the tribe of Zebulun, Rimmon with her suburbs, Tabor with her suburbs;

78 و َعَبْرَ نَهْرِ الأُردُنِّ مِنْ أرِيحا، عَلَى الجانِبِ الشَّرْقِيِّ مِنَ الأُردُنِّ. وَمِنْ قَبِيلَةِ رَأُوبَيْنَ، باصَرَ فِي البَرِّيَّةِ وَمَراعِيها، وَيَهْصَةَ وَمَراعِيها،

and on the other side of the Jordan by Jericho, on the east side of the Jordan, were given them out of the tribe of Reuben, Bezer in the wilderness with her suburbs and Jahzah with her suburbs,

79 و َقَدِيمُوتَ وَمَراعِيها، وَمَيْفَعَةَ وَمَراعِيها،

Kedemoth also with her suburbs and Mephaath with her suburbs;

80 و َمِنْ قَبِيلَةِ جادَ رامُوثَ فِي جِلْعادَ وَمَراعِيها، وَمَحَنايِمَ وَمَراعِيها،

and out of the tribe of Gad; Ramoth in Gilead with her suburbs and Mahanaim with her suburbs,

81 و َحَشْبُونَ وَمَراعِيها، وَيَعزِيرَ وَمَراعِيها.

and Heshbon with her suburbs and Jazer with her suburbs.
