1 و َكَلَّمَ اللهُ مُوسَى فَقالَ:

¶ And the LORD spoke unto Moses, saying,

2 « أبلِغْ هَذا الأمْرَ لِبَني إسْرائِيلَ: سَتَدخُلُونَ أرْضَ كَنعانَ الَّتِي سَتَكُونُ مُلْكاً لَكُمْ. وَهَذِهِ أرْضُ كَنعانَ بِحَسَبِ حُدُودِها:

Command the sons of Israel and say unto them, When ye have entered into the land of Canaan (this is the land that shall fall unto you for an inheritance, even the land of Canaan according to its borders),

3 ا لجِهَةُ الجَنُوبِيَّةُ سَتَكُونُ فِي بَرِّيَّةِ صِينَ قُرْبَ أدُومَ. حُدُودُكُمُ الجَنُوبِيَّةُ سَتَبدَأُ فِي الشَّرقِ مِنَ الطَّرَفِ الجَنُوبِيِّ إلَى بَحْرِ المِلحِ.

you shall have on the side of the Negev from the wilderness of Zin unto the borders of Edom, and your border towards the Negev shall be the outmost coast of the salt sea eastward.

4 ث ُمَّ تَمُرُّ حُدُودُكُمْ إلَى الجَنُوبِ مِنْ مَمَرِّ عَقْرِبِّيمَ ثُمَّ عَبْرَ بَرِّيَّةِ صِينَ، ثُمَّ تَصِلُ إلَى قادَشَ بَرْنِيعَ، ثُمَّ تَستَمِرُّ إلَى حَصَرَ أدّارَ، ثُمَّ تَصِلُ إلَى عَصْمُونَ.

And this border shall turn from the Negev to the ascent of Akrabbim and pass on to Zin, and the going forth thereof shall be from the Negev to Kadeshbarnea and shall go on to Hazaraddar and pass on to Azmon;

5 و َمِنْ عَصْمُونَ سَتَتَّجِهُ نَحوَ نَهْرِ مِصرَ حَتَّى تَصِلَ إلَى البَحرِ.

and the border shall fetch a compass from Azmon unto the river of Egypt, and the goings out of it shall be at the western sea.

6 و َأمّا حُدُودُكُمُ الغَربِيَّةُ فَسَتَكُونُ شاطِئَ البَحرِ الكَبِيرِ وَساحِلَهُ. هُناكَ تَكُونُ الحُدُودُ الغَربِيَّةُ.

And as for the western border, ye shall even have the great sea for a border; this shall be your west border.

7 و َهَذِهِ هِيَ حُدُودُكُمُ الشَّمالِيَّةُ: مِنَ البَحرِ تَتبَعُونَ خَطّاً إلَى جَبَلِ هُورَ.

And this shall be your north border: from the great sea ye shall point out for you Mount Hor.

8 و َمِنْ جَبَلِ هُورَ تُحَدِّدُونَ الخَطَّ إلَى لِيبُو حَماةَ، ثُمَّ تَتَصِلُّ الحُدُودُ بِمَدينَةِ صَدَدَ.

From Mount Hor ye shall point out your border unto the entrance of Hamath, and the goings forth of the border shall be to Zedad,

9 و َتَستَمِرُّ الحُدُودُ الشَّمالِيَّةُ إلَى زِفْرُونَ، وَتَكُونُ نِهايَتُها إلَى حَصَرِ عِينانَ.

and the border shall go on to Ziphron, and the goings out of it shall be at Hazarenan; this shall be your north border.

10 أ مّا حُدُودُكُمُ الشَّرقِيَّةُ فَتَبْدأُ مِنْ حَصَرِ عِينانَ وَتَمتّدُّ إلَى شَفامَ.

And ye shall point out your east border from Hazarenan to Shepham,

11 و َمِنْ شَفامَ إلَى رِبلَةَ الواقِعَةِ إلَى الشَّرقِ مِنْ عَينٍ. وَتَستَمِرُّ الحُدُودُ مَعَ التِّلالِ الواقِعَةِ شَرقَ بَحرِ الجَلِيلِ.

and the border shall go down from Shepham to Riblah, on the east side of Ain, and the border shall descend and shall reach unto the side of the sea of Chinnereth eastward.

12 ث ُمَّ مَعَ امْتِدادِ نَهرِ الأُردُنِّ وَحَتَّى بَحْرِ المِلْحِ. هَذِهِ هِيَ حُدُودُ أرْضِكُمْ مِنْ كُلِّ الجِهاتِ.»

And the border shall go down to the Jordan, and the goings out of it shall be at the salt sea; this shall be your land with the borders thereof round about.

13 ف َأعطَى مُوسَى هَذا الأمرَ لِبَني إسْرائِيلَ: «هَذِهِ هِيَ الأرْضُ الَّتِي سَتُقَسِّمُونَها فِيما بَينَكُمْ بِإلقاءِ القُرَعِ. أمَرَ اللهُ بِأنْ تُعطَى هَذِهِ الأرْضُ لِلتِّسْعِ قَبائِلَ وَنِصْفِ القَبِيلَةِ،

And Moses commanded the sons of Israel, saying, This is the land which ye shall inherit by lot, which the LORD commanded to give unto the nine tribes and to the half tribe,

14 ل أنَّ قَبِيلَتَيِّ رَأُوبَيْنَ وَجادَ وَنِصفَ قَبِيلَةِ مَنَسَّى قَدْ أخَذُوا حِصَّتَهُمْ مِنَ الأرْضِ بِحَسَبِ عَشائِرِهِمْ.

because the tribe of the sons of Reuben, according to the houses of their fathers, and the tribe of the sons of Gad, according to the houses of their fathers, and half the tribe of Manasseh have received their inheritance.

15 ف َقَدْ نالَتِ القَبِيلَتانِ وَنِصفُ القَبِيلَةِ حِصَصَهُمْ إلَى الشَّرقِ مِنْ نَهرِ الأُردُنِّ، إلَى الشَّرقِ مِنْ أرِيحا.»

The two tribes and the half tribe have received their inheritance on this side of the Jordan of Jericho eastward, toward the sunrising.

16 ث ُمَّ قالَ اللهُ لِمُوسَى:

¶ And the LORD spoke unto Moses, saying,

17 « هَذانِ الرَّجُلانِ يَقسِمانِ الأرْضَ بَينَكُمْ: ألِيعازارُ الكاهِنُ وَيَشُوعُ بْنُ نُونَ.

These are the names of the men who shall divide the possession of the land for you: Eleazar, the priest, and Joshua, the son of Nun.

18 و َيُساعِدُهُمْ قائِدٌ مِنْ كُلِّ عَشِيرَةٍ لأجلِ تَقسِيمِ الأرْضِ.

And ye shall take one prince of every tribe to divide the possession of the land.

19 و َهَذِهِ هِيَ أسْماءُ هَؤلاءِ القادَةِ: مِنْ قَبِيلَةِ يَهُوذا كالِبُ بْنُ يَفُنَّةَ.

And the names of the men are these: Of the tribe of Judah, Caleb, the son of Jephunneh.

20 و َمِنْ قَبِيلَةِ شِمْعُونَ شَمُوئِيلُ بْنُ عَمِّيهُودَ.

And of the tribe of the sons of Simeon, Shemuel, the son of Ammihud.

21 و َمِنْ قَبِيلَةِ بَنْيامِيْنَ ألِيدادُ بْنُ كِسلُونَ.

Of the tribe of Benjamin, Elidad, the son of Chislon.

22 و َمِنْ قَبِيلَةِ دانَ الرَّئِيسُ بُقِّي بْنُ يُجلِي.

And the of the tribe of the sons of Dan, the prince Bukki, the son of Jogli.

23 و َمِنْ نَسلِ يُوسُفَ: مِنْ قَبِيلَةِ مَنَسَّى الرَّئِيسُ حَنِّيئِيلُ بْنُ إيفُودَ.

Of the sons of Joseph: of the tribe of the sons of Manasseh, the prince Hanniel, the son of Ephod.

24 و َمِنْ قَبِيلَةِ أفْرايِمَ الرَّئِيسُ قَمُوئِيلُ بْنُ شِفطانَ.

And of the tribe of the sons of Ephraim, the prince Kemuel, the son of Shiphtan.

25 و َمِنْ قَبِيلَةِ زَبُولُونَ الرَّئِيسُ ألِيصافانُ بْنُ فَزْناخَ.

And of the tribe of the sons of Zebulun, the prince Elizaphan, the son of Parnach.

26 و َمِنْ قَبِيلَةِ يسّاكِرَ الرَّئِيسُ فَلْطِيئِيلُ بْنُ عَزّانَ.

And of the tribe of the sons of Issachar, the prince Paltiel, the son of Azzan.

27 و َمِنْ قَبِيلَةِ أشِيرَ الرَّئِيسُ أخِيهُودُ بْنُ شَلُومِي.

And of the tribe of the sons of Asher, the prince Ahihud, the son of Shelomi.

28 و َمِنْ قَبِيلَةِ نَفْتالِي الرَّئِيسُ فَدَهْئِيلُ بْنُ عَمِّيهُودَ.»

And of the tribe of the sons of Naphtali, the prince Pedahel, the son of Ammihud.

29 ه َؤُلاءِ هُمُ الرِّجالُ الَّذِينَ أمَرَهُمُ اللهُ بِأنْ يَقْتَسِمُوا أرْضَ كَنعانَ فِيما بَينَ بَني إسْرائِيلَ.

These are those whom the LORD commanded to cause the sons of Israel to inherit the land of Canaan.
