1 H ast thou known the time of The bearing of the wild goats of the rock? The bringing forth of hinds thou dost mark!

山 岩 间 的 野 山 羊 几 时 生 产 ， 你 知 道 麽 ？ 母 鹿 下 犊 之 期 ， 你 能 察 定 麽 ？

2 T hou dost number the months they fulfil? And thou hast known the time of their bringing forth!

他 们 怀 胎 的 月 数 ， 你 能 数 算 麽 ？ 他 们 几 时 生 产 ， 你 能 晓 得 麽 ？

3 T hey bow down, Their young ones they bring forth safely, Their pangs they cast forth.

他 们 屈 身 ， 将 子 生 下 ， 就 除 掉 疼 痛 。

4 S afe are their young ones, They grow up in the field, they have gone out, And have not returned to them.

这 子 渐 渐 肥 壮 ， 在 荒 野 长 大 ， 去 而 不 回 。

5 W ho hath sent forth the wild ass free? Yea, the bands of the wild ass who opened?

谁 放 野 驴 出 去 自 由 ？ 谁 解 开 快 驴 的 绳 索 ？

6 W hose house I have made the wilderness, And his dwellings the barren land,

我 使 旷 野 作 他 的 住 处 ， 使 咸 地 当 他 的 居 所 。

7 H e doth laugh at the multitude of a city, The cries of an exactor he heareth not.

他 嗤 笑 城 内 的 喧 嚷 ， 不 听 赶 牲 口 的 喝 声 。

8 T he range of mountains his pasture, And after every green thing he seeketh.

遍 山 是 他 的 草 场 ； 他 寻 找 各 样 青 绿 之 物 。

9 I s a Reem willing to serve thee? Doth he lodge by thy crib?

野 牛 岂 肯 服 事 你 ？ 岂 肯 住 在 你 的 槽 旁 ？

10 D ost thou bind a Reem in a furrow his thick band? Doth he harrow valleys after thee?

你 岂 能 用 套 绳 将 野 牛 笼 在 犁 沟 之 间 ？ 他 岂 肯 随 你 耙 山 谷 之 地 ？

11 D ost thou trust in him because great his power? And dost thou leave unto him thy labour?

岂 可 因 他 的 力 大 就 倚 靠 他 ？ 岂 可 把 你 的 工 交 给 他 做 麽 ？

12 D ost thou trust in him That he doth bring back thy seed? And thy threshing-floor doth gather ?

岂 可 信 靠 他 把 你 的 粮 食 运 到 家 ， 又 收 聚 你 禾 场 上 的 谷 麽 ？

13 T he wing of the rattling ones exulteth, Whether the pinion of the ostrich or hawk.

鸵 鸟 的 翅 膀 欢 然 ? 展 ， 岂 是 显 慈 爱 的 翎 毛 和 羽 毛 麽 ？

14 F or she leaveth on the earth her eggs, And on the dust she doth warm them,

因 他 把 蛋 留 在 地 上 ， 在 尘 土 中 使 得 温 暖 ；

15 A nd she forgetteth that a foot may press it, And a beast of the field tread it down.

却 想 不 到 被 脚 踹 碎 ， 或 被 野 兽 践 踏 。

16 H er young ones it hath hardened without her, In vain her labour without fear.

他 忍 心 待 雏 ， 似 乎 不 是 自 己 的 ； 虽 然 徒 受 劳 苦 ， 也 不 为 雏 惧 怕 ；

17 F or God hath caused her to forget wisdom, And He hath not given a portion To her in understanding:

因 为 神 使 他 没 有 智 慧 ， 也 未 将 悟 性 赐 给 他 。

18 A t the time on high she lifteth herself up, She laugheth at the horse and at his rider.

他 几 时 挺 身 展 开 翅 膀 ， 就 嗤 笑 马 和 骑 马 的 人 。

19 D ost thou give to the horse might? Dost thou clothe his neck a mane?

马 的 大 力 是 你 所 赐 的 麽 ？ 他 颈 项 上 ? 挲 的 鬃 是 你 给 他 披 上 的 麽 ？

20 D ost thou cause him to rush as a locust? The majesty of his snorting terrible.

是 你 叫 他 跳 跃 像 蝗 虫 麽 ？ 他 喷 气 之 威 使 人 惊 惶 。

21 T hey dig in a valley, and he rejoiceth in power, He goeth forth to meet the armour.

他 在 谷 中 刨 地 ， 自 喜 其 力 ； 他 出 去 迎 接 佩 带 兵 器 的 人 。

22 H e laugheth at fear, and is not affrighted, And he turneth not back from the face of the sword.

他 嗤 笑 可 怕 的 事 并 不 惊 惶 ， 也 不 因 刀 剑 退 回 。

23 A gainst him rattle doth quiver, The flame of a spear, and a halbert.

箭 袋 和 发 亮 的 枪 ， 并 短 枪 在 他 身 上 铮 铮 有 声 。

24 W ith trembling and rage he swalloweth the ground, And remaineth not stedfast Because of the sound of a trumpet.

他 发 猛 烈 的 怒 气 将 地 吞 下 ； 一 听 角 声 就 不 耐 站 立 。

25 A mong the trumpets he saith, Aha, And from afar he doth smell battle, Roaring of princes and shouting.

角 每 发 声 ， 他 说 呵 哈 ； 他 从 远 处 闻 着 战 气 ， 又 听 见 军 长 大 发 雷 声 和 兵 丁 呐 喊 。

26 B y thine understanding flieth a hawk? Spreadeth he his wings to the south?

鹰 雀 飞 翔 ， 展 开 翅 膀 一 直 向 南 ， 岂 是 藉 你 的 智 慧 麽 ？

27 A t thy command goeth an eagle up high? Or lifteth he up his nest?

大 鹰 上 腾 在 高 处 搭 窝 ， 岂 是 听 你 的 吩 咐 麽 ？

28 A rock he doth inhabit, Yea, he lodgeth on the tooth of a rock, and fortress.

他 住 在 山 岩 ， 以 山 峰 和 坚 固 之 所 为 家 ，

29 F rom thence he hath sought food, To a far off place his eyes look attentively,

从 那 里 窥 看 食 物 ， 眼 睛 远 远 观 望 。

30 A nd his brood gulph up blood, And where the pierced -- there he!

他 的 雏 也 咂 血 ； 被 杀 的 人 在 哪 里 ， 他 也 在 那 里 。
