1 U nd mich hob ein Wind auf und brachte mich zum Tor am Hause des HERRN, das gegen Morgen sieht; und siehe, unter dem Tor waren fünfundzwanzig Männer; und ich sah unter ihnen Jaasanja, den Sohn Assurs, und Pelatja, den Sohn Benajas, die Fürsten im Volk.

Then the Spirit lifted me up and brought me to the East Gate of the Lord ’s house, which faces eastward; and there at the door of the gate were twenty-five men, among whom I saw Jaazaniah the son of Azzur, and Pelatiah the son of Benaiah, princes of the people.

2 U nd er sprach zu mir: Menschenkind, diese Leute haben unselige Gedanken und schädliche Ratschläge in dieser Stadt;

And He said to me: “Son of man, these are the men who devise iniquity and give wicked counsel in this city,

3 d enn sie sprechen: "Es ist nicht so nahe; laßt uns nur Häuser bauen! Sie ist der Topf, so sind wir das Fleisch."

who say, ‘ The time is not near to build houses; this city is the caldron, and we are the meat.’

4 D arum sollst du, Menschenkind, wider sie weissagen.

Therefore prophesy against them, prophesy, O son of man!”

5 U nd der Geist des HERRN fiel auf mich, und er sprach zu mir: Sprich: So sagt der HERR: Ich habe also geredet, ihr vom Hause Israel; und eures Geistes Gedanken kenne ich wohl.

Then the Spirit of the Lord fell upon me, and said to me, “Speak! ‘Thus says the Lord: “Thus you have said, O house of Israel; for I know the things that come into your mind.

6 I hr habt viele erschlagen in dieser Stadt, und ihre Gassen liegen voll Toter.

You have multiplied your slain in this city, and you have filled its streets with the slain.”

7 D arum spricht der HERR HERR also: Die ihr darin getötet habt, die sind das Fleisch, und sie ist der Topf; aber ihr müßt hinaus.

Therefore thus says the Lord God: “Your slain whom you have laid in its midst, they are the meat, and this city is the caldron; but I shall bring you out of the midst of it.

8 D as Schwert, das ihr fürchtet, das will ich über euch kommen lassen, spricht der HERR HERR.

You have feared the sword; and I will bring a sword upon you,” says the Lord God.

9 I ch will euch von dort herausstoßen und den Fremden in die Hand geben und will euch euer Recht tun.

“And I will bring you out of its midst, and deliver you into the hands of strangers, and execute judgments on you.

10 I hr sollt durchs Schwert fallen; an der Grenze Israels will ich euch richten, und sollt erfahren, daß ich der HERR bin.

You shall fall by the sword. I will judge you at the border of Israel. Then you shall know that I am the Lord.

11 D ie Stadt aber soll nicht euer Topf sein noch ihr das Fleisch darin; sondern an der Grenze Israels will ich euch richten.

This city shall not be your caldron, nor shall you be the meat in its midst. I will judge you at the border of Israel.

12 U nd ihr sollt erfahren, daß ich der HERR bin; denn ihr habt nach meinen Geboten nicht gewandelt und habt meine Rechte nicht gehalten, sondern getan nach der Heiden Weise, die um euch her sind.

And you shall know that I am the Lord; for you have not walked in My statutes nor executed My judgments, but have done according to the customs of the Gentiles which are all around you.”’”

13 U nd da ich so weissagte, starb Pelatja, der Sohn Benajas. Da fiel ich auf mein Angesicht und schrie mit lauter Stimme und sprach: Ach HERR HERR, du wirst's mit den übrigen Israels gar aus machen!

Now it happened, while I was prophesying, that Pelatiah the son of Benaiah died. Then I fell on my face and cried with a loud voice, and said, “Ah, Lord God! Will You make a complete end of the remnant of Israel?” God Will Restore Israel

14 D a geschah des HERRN Wort zu mir und sprach:

Again the word of the Lord came to me, saying,

15 D u Menschenkind, zu deinen Brüdern und nahen Freunden und dem ganzen Haus Israel sprechen wohl die, so noch zu Jerusalem wohnen: Ihr müsset fern vom HERRN sein, aber wir haben das Land inne.

“Son of man, your brethren, your relatives, your countrymen, and all the house of Israel in its entirety, are those about whom the inhabitants of Jerusalem have said, ‘Get far away from the Lord; this land has been given to us as a possession.’

16 D arum sprich du: So spricht der HERR HERR: Ja, ich habe sie fern weg unter die Heiden lassen treiben und in die Länder zerstreut; doch will ich bald ihr Heiland sein in den Ländern, dahin sie gekommen sind.

Therefore say, ‘Thus says the Lord God: “Although I have cast them far off among the Gentiles, and although I have scattered them among the countries, yet I shall be a little sanctuary for them in the countries where they have gone.”’

17 D arum sprich: So sagt der HERR HERR: Ich will euch sammeln aus den Völkern und will euch sammeln aus den Ländern, dahin ihr zerstreut seid, und will euch das Land Israel geben.

Therefore say, ‘Thus says the Lord God: “I will gather you from the peoples, assemble you from the countries where you have been scattered, and I will give you the land of Israel.”’

18 D a sollen sie kommen und alle Scheuel und Greuel daraus wegtun.

And they will go there, and they will take away all its detestable things and all its abominations from there.

19 U nd ich will euch ein einträchtiges Herz geben und einen neuen Geist in euch geben und will das steinerne Herz wegnehmen aus eurem Leibe und ein fleischernes Herz geben,

Then I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within them, and take the stony heart out of their flesh, and give them a heart of flesh,

20 a uf daß sie nach meinen Sitten wandeln und meine Rechte halten und darnach tun. Und sie sollen mein Volk sein, so will ich ihr Gott sein.

that they may walk in My statutes and keep My judgments and do them; and they shall be My people, and I will be their God.

21 D enen aber, so nach ihres Herzens Scheueln und Greueln wandeln, will ich ihr Tun auf ihren Kopf werfen, spricht der HERR HERR.

But as for those whose hearts follow the desire for their detestable things and their abominations, I will recompense their deeds on their own heads,” says the Lord God.

22 D a schwangen die Cherubim ihre Flügel, und die Räder gingen neben ihnen, und die Herrlichkeit des Gottes Israels war oben über ihnen.

So the cherubim lifted up their wings, with the wheels beside them, and the glory of the God of Israel was high above them.

23 U nd die Herrlichkeit des HERRN erhob sich aus der Stadt und stellte sich auf den Berg, der gegen Morgen vor der Stadt liegt.

And the glory of the Lord went up from the midst of the city and stood on the mountain, which is on the east side of the city.

24 U nd ein Wind hob mich auf und brachte mich im Gesicht und im Geist Gottes nach Chaldäa zu den Gefangenen. Und das Gesicht, so ich gesehen hatte, verschwand vor mir.

Then the Spirit took me up and brought me in a vision by the Spirit of God into Chaldea, to those in captivity. And the vision that I had seen went up from me.

25 U nd ich sagte den Gefangenen alle Worte des HERRN, die er mir gezeigt hatte.

So I spoke to those in captivity of all the things the Lord had shown me.
