1 R ühme, du Unfruchtbare, die du nicht gebierst! Freue dich mit Rühmen und jauchze, die du nicht schwanger bist! Denn die Einsame hat mehr Kinder, als die den Mann hat, spricht der HERR.

“Sing, O barren, You who have not borne! Break forth into singing, and cry aloud, You who have not labored with child! For more are the children of the desolate Than the children of the married woman,” says the Lord.

2 M ache den Raum deiner Hütte weit, und breite aus die Teppiche deiner Wohnung; spare nicht! Dehne deine Seile lang und stecke deine Nägel fest!

“Enlarge the place of your tent, And let them stretch out the curtains of your dwellings; Do not spare; Lengthen your cords, And strengthen your stakes.

3 D enn du wirst ausbrechen zur Rechten und zur Linken, und dein Same wird die Heiden erben und in den verwüsteten Städten wohnen.

For you shall expand to the right and to the left, And your descendants will inherit the nations, And make the desolate cities inhabited.

4 F ürchte dich nicht, denn du sollst nicht zu Schanden werden; werde nicht blöde, denn du sollst nicht zum Spott werden; sondern du wirst die Schande deiner Jungfrauschaft vergessen und der Schmach deiner Witwenschaft nicht mehr gedenken.

“Do not fear, for you will not be ashamed; Neither be disgraced, for you will not be put to shame; For you will forget the shame of your youth, And will not remember the reproach of your widowhood anymore.

5 D enn der dich gemacht hat, ist dein Mann, der HERR Zebaoth heißt sein Name, und dein Erlöser, der Heilige in Israel, der aller Welt Gott genannt wird.

For your Maker is your husband, The Lord of hosts is His name; And your Redeemer is the Holy One of Israel; He is called the God of the whole earth.

6 D enn der HERR hat dich zu sich gerufen wie ein verlassenes und von Herzen betrübtes Weib und wie ein junges Weib, das verstoßen ist, spricht dein Gott.

For the Lord has called you Like a woman forsaken and grieved in spirit, Like a youthful wife when you were refused,” Says your God.

7 I ch habe dich einen kleinen Augenblick verlassen; aber mit großer Barmherzigkeit will ich dich sammeln.

“For a mere moment I have forsaken you, But with great mercies I will gather you.

8 I ch habe mein Angesicht im Augenblick des Zorns ein wenig vor dir verborgen, aber mit ewiger Gnade will ich mich dein erbarmen, spricht der HERR, dein Erlöser.

With a little wrath I hid My face from you for a moment; But with everlasting kindness I will have mercy on you,” Says the Lord, your Redeemer.

9 D enn solches soll mir sein wie das Wasser Noahs, da ich schwur, daß die Wasser Noahs sollten nicht mehr über den Erdboden gehen. Also habe ich geschworen, daß ich nicht über dich zürnen noch dich schelten will.

“For this is like the waters of Noah to Me; For as I have sworn That the waters of Noah would no longer cover the earth, So have I sworn That I would not be angry with you, nor rebuke you.

10 D enn es sollen wohl Berge weichen und Hügel hinfallen; aber meine Gnade soll nicht von dir weichen, und der Bund meines Friedens soll nicht hinfallen, spricht der HERR, dein Erbarmer.

For the mountains shall depart And the hills be removed, But My kindness shall not depart from you, Nor shall My covenant of peace be removed,” Says the Lord, who has mercy on you.

11 D u Elende, über die alle Wetter gehen, und du Trostlose, siehe, ich will deine Steine wie einen Schmuck legen und will deinen Grund mit Saphiren legen

“O you afflicted one, Tossed with tempest, and not comforted, Behold, I will lay your stones with colorful gems, And lay your foundations with sapphires.

12 u nd deine Zinnen aus Kristallen machen und deine Tore von Rubinen und alle deine Grenzen von erwählten Steinen

I will make your pinnacles of rubies, Your gates of crystal, And all your walls of precious stones.

13 u nd alle deine Kinder gelehrt vom HERRN und großen Frieden deinen Kindern.

All your children shall be taught by the Lord, And great shall be the peace of your children.

14 D u sollst durch Gerechtigkeit bereitet werden. Du wirst ferne sein von Gewalt und Unrecht, daß du dich davor nicht darfst fürchten, und von Schrecken, denn es soll nicht zu dir nahen.

In righteousness you shall be established; You shall be far from oppression, for you shall not fear; And from terror, for it shall not come near you.

15 S iehe, wer will sich wider dich rotten und dich überfallen, so sie sich ohne mich rotten?

Indeed they shall surely assemble, but not because of Me. Whoever assembles against you shall fall for your sake.

16 S iehe, ich schaffe es, daß der Schmied, der die Kohlen aufbläst, eine Waffe daraus mache nach seinem Handwerk; und ich schaffe es, daß der Verderber sie zunichte mache.

“Behold, I have created the blacksmith Who blows the coals in the fire, Who brings forth an instrument for his work; And I have created the spoiler to destroy.

17 E iner jeglichen Waffe, die wider dich zubereitet wird, soll es nicht gelingen; und alle Zunge, so sich wider dich setzt, sollst du im Gericht verdammen. Das ist das Erbe der Knechte des HERRN und ihre Gerechtigkeit von mir, spricht der HERR.

No weapon formed against you shall prosper, And every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, And their righteousness is from Me,” Says the Lord.
