1 Y ahweh’s word came again to me, saying,
Vino a mí palabra de Jehová, diciendo:
2 Y ou, son of man, take up a lamentation over Tyre;
«Tú, hijo de hombre, entona una lamentación sobre Tiro.
3 a nd tell Tyre, you who dwell at the entry of the sea, who are the merchant of the peoples to many islands, thus says the Lord Yahweh: You, Tyre, have said, I am perfect in beauty.
Dirás a Tiro, que está asentada a las orillas del mar, la que trafica con los pueblos de muchas costas: “Así ha dicho Jehová, el Señor: »”Tiro, tú has dicho: ‘Yo soy de perfecta hermosura.’
4 Y our borders are in the heart of the seas; your builders have perfected your beauty.
En el corazón de los mares están tus confines; los que te edificaron perfeccionaron tu belleza.
5 T hey have made all your planks of cypress trees from Senir; they have taken a cedar from Lebanon to make a mast for you.
De cipreses del monte Senir te fabricaron todo el maderamen; tomaron un cedro del Líbano para hacerte el mástil.
6 O f the oaks of Bashan have they made your oars; they have made your benches of ivory inlaid in boxwood, from the islands of Kittim.
De encinas de Basán hicieron tus remos, y de las costas de Quitim tu cubierta de pino incrustada de marfil.
7 O f fine linen with embroidered work from Egypt was your sail, that it might be to you for a banner; blue and purple from the islands of Elishah was your awning.
De lino fino bordado de Egipto era tu vela, para que te sirviera de estandarte; y de azul y púrpura de las costas de Elisa era tu pabellón.
8 T he inhabitants of Sidon and Arvad were your rowers: your wise men, Tyre, were in you, they were your pilots.
Los moradores de Sidón y de Arvad fueron tus remeros; tus sabios, Tiro, estaban en ti, ellos fueron tus pilotos.
9 T he old men of Gebal and the wise men of it were in you your repairers of ship seams: all the ships of the sea with their mariners were in you to deal in your merchandise.
Los ancianos de Gebal y sus hábiles artífices calafateaban tus junturas; todas las naves del mar y sus remeros acudieron a ti para negociar, para participar de tus negocios.
10 P ersia and Lud and Put were in your army, your men of war: they hanged the shield and helmet in you; they showed your beauty.
»”Persas y los de Lud y Fut fueron en tu ejército tus hombres de guerra; escudos y yelmos colgaron en ti; ellos te dieron tu esplendor.
11 T he men of Arvad with your army were on your walls all around, and valorous men were in your towers; they hanged their shields on your walls all around; they have perfected your beauty.
»”Los hijos de Arvad con tu ejército estaban sobre tus muros y alrededor de ellos; y en tus torres había gamadeos, que colgaban sus escudos alrededor de tus muros; ellos perfeccionaban tu belleza.
12 T arshish was your merchant by reason of the multitude of all kinds of riches; with silver, iron, tin, and lead, they traded for your wares.
»”Tarsis comerciaba contigo por la abundancia de todas tus riquezas, con plata, hierro, estaño y plomo a cambio de tus mercaderías.
13 J avan, Tubal, and Meshech, they were your traffickers; they traded the persons of men and vessels of brass for your merchandise.
Javán, Tubal y Mesec comerciaban también contigo, con hombres y con utensilios de bronce a cambio de tus mercaderías.
14 T hey of the house of Togarmah traded for your wares with horses and war horses and mules.
Los de la casa de Togarma te daban caballos, corceles de guerra y mulos a cambio de tus mercancías.
15 T he men of Dedan were your traffickers; many islands were the market of your hand: they brought you in exchange horns of ivory and ebony.
Los hijos de Dedán traficaban contigo; muchas costas tomaban mercadería de tu mano; colmillos de marfil y ébano te dieron en pago.
16 S yria was your merchant by reason of the multitude of your handiworks: they traded for your wares with emeralds, purple, and embroidered work, and fine linen, and coral, and rubies.
Por la abundancia de tus productos, Edom traficaba contigo con perlas, púrpura, vestidos bordados, linos finos, corales y rubíes a cambio de tus mercaderías.
17 J udah, and the land of Israel, they were your traffickers: they traded for your merchandise wheat of Minnith, and confections, and honey, and oil, and balm.
Judá y la tierra de Israel comerciaban contigo con trigos de Minit y Panag, miel, aceite y resina, a cambio de tus mercancías.
18 D amascus was your merchant for the multitude of your handiworks, by reason of the multitude of all kinds of riches, with the wine of Helbon, and white wool.
Damasco comerciaba contigo por la gran abundancia de tus productos y de toda riqueza; con vino de Helbón y lana blanca negociaban.
19 V edan and Javan traded with yarn for your wares: bright iron, cassia, and calamus, were among your merchandise.
Asimismo Dan y el errante Javán, a cambio de tus mercaderías te dieron mercancías de hierro labrado, mirra destilada y caña aromática.
20 D edan was your trafficker in precious cloths for riding.
Dedán comerciaba contigo con paños preciosos para monturas.
21 A rabia, and all the princes of Kedar, they were the merchants of your hand; in lambs, and rams, and goats, in these were they your merchants.
Arabia y todos los gobernantes de Cedar traficaban contigo con corderos, carneros y machos cabríos: con todo ello comerciaron contigo.
22 T he traffickers of Sheba and Raamah, they were your traffickers; they traded for your wares with the chief of all spices, and with all precious stones, and gold.
Los mercaderes de Sabá y de Raama hicieron comercio contigo con lo principal de toda especiería y con toda piedra preciosa y oro, a cambio de tus mercaderías.
23 H aran and Canneh and Eden, the traffickers of Sheba, Asshur and Chilmad, were your traffickers.
Harán, Cane, Edén y los mercaderes de Sabá, de Asiria y de Quilmad, traficaban contigo.
24 T hese were your traffickers in choice wares, in wrappings of blue and embroidered work, and in chests of rich clothing, bound with cords and made of cedar, among your merchandise.
Estos mercaderes tuyos negociaban contigo en varias cosas: mantos de azul y bordados, cajas de ropas preciosas enlazadas con cordones, y madera de cedro.
25 T he ships of Tarshish were your caravans for your merchandise: and you were replenished, and made very glorious in the heart of the seas.
»”Las naves de Tarsis eran como tus caravanas que transportaban tus mercancías. »”Llegaste a ser opulenta, te multiplicaste en gran manera en medio de los mares.
26 Y our rowers have brought you into great waters: the east wind has broken you in the heart of the seas.
En aguas profundas te anclaron tus remeros; el viento del este te quebrantó en medio de los mares.
27 Y our riches, and your wares, your merchandise, your mariners, and your pilots, your repairers of ship seams, and the dealers in your merchandise, and all your men of war, who are in you, with all your company which is among you, shall fall into the heart of the seas in the day of your ruin.
Tus riquezas, tus mercaderías, tu tráfico, tus remeros, tus pilotos, tus calafateadores, los agentes de tus negocios, con todos los hombres de guerra que tú tienes y con toda la tripulación que se halla en medio de ti, caerán en medio de los mares el día de tu caída.
28 A t the sound of the cry of your pilots the suburbs shall shake.
Al estrépito de las voces de tus marineros temblarán las costas.
29 A ll who handled the oar, the mariners, and all the pilots of the sea, shall come down from their ships; they shall stand on the land,
Descenderán de sus naves todos los que empuñan remo: los remeros y todos los pilotos del mar se quedarán en tierra.
30 a nd shall cause their voice to be heard over you, and shall cry bitterly, and shall cast up dust on their heads, they shall wallow themselves in the ashes:
Ellos harán oír su voz sobre ti. Gritarán amargamente, echarán polvo sobre sus cabezas y se revolcarán en ceniza.
31 a nd they shall make themselves bald for you, and clothe them with sackcloth, and they shall weep for you in bitterness of soul with bitter mourning.
Se raparán por ti los cabellos, se ceñirán con ropa áspera y entonarán por ti lamentaciones amargas, con amargura del alma.
32 I n their wailing they shall take up a lamentation for you, and lament over you, saying, Who is there like Tyre, like her who is brought to silence in the middle of the sea?
Entre gemidos entonarán por ti lamentaciones; harán lamentación por ti, diciendo: ‘¿Quién como Tiro, como la destruida en medio del mar?’
33 W hen your wares went out of the seas, you filled many peoples; you enriched the kings of the earth with the multitude of your riches and of your merchandise.
Cuando tus mercaderías salían de las naves, saciabas a muchos pueblos; a los reyes de la tierra enriqueciste con la gran abundancia de tus riquezas y mercancías.
34 I n the time that you were broken by the seas in the depths of the waters, your merchandise and all your company fell within you.
En el tiempo en que seas quebrantada por el mar, en lo profundo de las aguas, tu comercio y toda tu tripulación caerán en medio de ti.
35 A ll the inhabitants of the islands are astonished at you, and their kings are horribly afraid; they are troubled in their face.
Todos los moradores de las costas estarán atónitos por tu causa, y sus reyes temblarán de espanto; se demudará su rostro.
36 T he merchants among the peoples hiss at you; you are become a terror, and you shall nevermore have any being.
Los mercaderes en los pueblos silbarán contra ti; vendrás a ser objeto de espanto, y para siempre dejarás de ser.”»
