1 T hus all the work that Solomon did for Yahweh’s house was finished. Solomon brought in the things that David his father had dedicated, even the silver, and the gold, and all the vessels, and put them in the treasuries of the house of God.

Así se acabó toda la obra que hizo Salomón para la casa de Jehová. Luego metió Salomón las ofrendas que David, su padre, había consagrado: la plata, el oro y todos los demás utensilios, y lo puso todo en los tesoros de la casa de Dios. Salomón traslada el Arca al Templo

2 T hen Solomon assembled the elders of Israel, and all the heads of the tribes, the princes of the fathers’ households of the children of Israel, to Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of Yahweh’s covenant out of David’s city, which is Zion.

Entonces Salomón reunió en Jerusalén a los ancianos de Israel, a todos los príncipes de las tribus, y a los jefes de las familias de los hijos de Israel, para que trasladaran el Arca del pacto de Jehová desde la Ciudad de David, que es Sión.

3 A nd all the men of Israel assembled themselves to the king at the feast, which was in the seventh month.

Y se congregaron junto al rey todos los hombres de Israel, para la fiesta solemne del mes séptimo.

4 A ll the elders of Israel came: and the Levites took up the ark;

Cuando llegaron todos los ancianos de Israel, los levitas tomaron el Arca,

5 a nd they brought up the ark, and the Tent of Meeting, and all the holy vessels that were in the Tent; these the priests the Levites brought up.

y la llevaron, junto con el Tabernáculo de reunión y todos los utensilios del santuario que estaban en el Tabernáculo. Los sacerdotes y los levitas los llevaron.

6 K ing Solomon and all the congregation of Israel, that were assembled to him, were before the ark, sacrificing sheep and cattle, that could not be counted nor numbered for multitude.

El rey Salomón y toda la congregación de Israel que se había reunido con él delante del Arca, sacrificaron ovejas y bueyes, que por ser tantos no se pudieron contar ni calcular.

7 T he priests brought in the ark of Yahweh’s covenant to its place, into the inner sanctuary of the house, to the most holy place, even under the wings of the cherubim.

Los sacerdotes metieron el Arca del pacto de Jehová en su lugar, en el santuario de la Casa, en el Lugar santísimo, bajo las alas de los querubines;

8 F or the cherubim spread out their wings over the place of the ark, and the cherubim covered the ark and its poles above.

pues los querubines extendían las alas sobre el lugar del Arca, cubriendo así tanto el Arca como sus barras por encima.

9 T he poles were so long that the ends of the poles were seen from the ark before the inner sanctuary; but they were not seen outside: and there it is to this day.

E hicieron salir las barras, de modo que se vieran las cabezas de las barras del Arca delante del Lugar santísimo, pero no se veían desde fuera; y allí están hasta el día de hoy.

10 T here was nothing in the ark except the two tables which Moses put at Horeb, when Yahweh made a covenant with the children of Israel, when they came out of Egypt.

En el Arca no había nada más que las dos tablas que Moisés había puesto en Horeb, las tablas del pacto que Jehová había hecho con los hijos de Israel cuando salieron de Egipto.

11 W hen the priests had come out of the holy place, (for all the priests who were present had sanctified themselves, and didn’t keep their divisions;

Cuando los sacerdotes salieron del santuario (porque todos los sacerdotes que se hallaban presentes habían sido santificados, sin tener en cuenta su distribución por turnos),

12 a lso the Levites who were the singers, all of them, even Asaph, Heman, Jeduthun, and their sons and their brothers, arrayed in fine linen, with cymbals and stringed instruments and harps, stood at the east end of the altar, and with them one hundred twenty priests sounding with trumpets;)

los levitas cantores, todos los de Asaf, los de Hemán y los de Jedutún, junto con sus hijos y sus hermanos, vestidos de lino fino, estaban con címbalos, salterios y arpas al oriente del altar. Con ellos había ciento veinte sacerdotes que tocaban trompetas.

13 w hen the trumpeters and singers were as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking Yahweh; and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of music, and praised Yahweh, saying, “For he is good; for his loving kindness endures forever!” then the house was filled with a cloud, even Yahweh’s house,

Hacían sonar, pues, las trompetas y cantaban al unísono, alabando y dando gracias a Jehová. Y sucedió que mientras ellos alzaban la voz al son de las trompetas, de los címbalos y de los otros instrumentos de música, y alababan a Jehová diciendo: «Porque él es bueno, porque su misericordia es para siempre», una nube llenó la Casa, la casa de Jehová.

14 s o that the priests could not stand to minister by reason of the cloud: for Yahweh’s glory filled God’s house.

Y no podían los sacerdotes estar allí para ministrar, por causa de la nube; porque la gloria de Jehová había llenado la casa de Dios.
