1 O h poderosos, ¿pronunciáis en verdad justicia? ¿Juzgáis rectamente, hijos de los hombres?

Do ye indeed speak righteousness, O congregation? do ye judge uprightly, O ye sons of men?

2 N o, que de corazón maquináis iniquidades; Hacéis pesar la violencia de vuestras manos en la tierra.

Yea, in heart ye work wickedness; ye weigh the violence of your hands in the earth.

3 T orcidos están los impíos desde la matriz; Extraviados y mentirosos desde que nacieron.

The wicked are estranged from the womb: they go astray as soon as they be born, speaking lies.

4 V eneno tienen como veneno de serpiente; Son como el áspid sordo que cierra su oído,

Their poison is like the poison of a serpent: they are like the deaf adder that stoppeth her ear;

5 Q ue no quiere oír la voz de los que encantan, Por más hábil que sea el encantador.

which will not hearken to the voice of charmers, charming never so wisely.

6 O h Dios, rompe sus dientes en sus bocas; Quiebra, oh Jehová, las muelas de los leoncillos.

Break their teeth, O God, in their mouth: break out the great teeth of the young lions, O Lord.

7 S ean disipados como aguas que se escurren; Cuando disparen sus saetas, sean hechas pedazos.

Let them melt away as waters which run continually: when he bendeth his bow to shoot his arrows, let them be as cut in pieces.

8 P asen ellos como la babosa que se deslíe; Como el que nace muerto, no vean el sol.

As a snail which melteth, let every one of them pass away: like the untimely birth of a woman, that they may not see the sun.

9 A ntes que vuestras ollas sientan la llama de los espinos, Verdes o quemados, que los arrebate la tempestad.

Before your pots can feel the thorns, he shall take them away as with a whirlwind, both living, and in his wrath.

10 S e alegrará el justo cuando vea que se hace justicia; Sus pies lavará en la sangre del impío.

The righteous shall rejoice when he seeth the vengeance: he shall wash his feet in the blood of the wicked.

11 E ntonces dirán los hombres: Ciertamente hay galardón para el justo; Ciertamente hay un Dios que juzga en la tierra.

So that a man shall say, Verily there is a reward for the righteous: verily he is a God that judgeth in the earth.
