1 T en piedad de mí, oh Dios, conforme a tu misericordia; Conforme a la multitud de tus piedades borra mis delitos.

Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness: according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions.

2 L ávame a fondo de mi maldad, Y límpiame de mi pecado.

Wash me throughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.

3 P orque yo reconozco mis delitos, Y mi pecado está siempre delante de mí.

For I acknowledge my transgressions: and my sin is ever before me.

4 C ontra ti, contra ti solo he pecado, Y he hecho lo que es malo delante de tus ojos; Así que eres justo cuando sentencias, E irreprochable cuando juzgas.

Against thee, thee only, have I sinned, and done this evil in thy sight: that thou mightest be justified when thou speakest, and be clear when thou judgest.

5 M ira que en maldad he sido formado, Y en pecado me concibió mi madre.

Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me.

6 P ero tú amas la verdad en lo íntimo, Y en lo secreto me has hecho comprender sabiduría.

Behold, thou desirest truth in the inward parts: and in the hidden part thou shalt make me to know wisdom.

7 P urifícame con hisopo, y seré limpio; Lávame, y quedaré más blanco que la nieve.

Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.

8 H azme oír gozo y alegría, Y se recrearán los huesos que has abatido.

Make me to hear joy and gladness; that the bones which thou hast broken may rejoice.

9 O culta tu rostro de mis pecados, Y borra todas mis maldades.

Hide thy face from my sins, and blot out all mine iniquities.

10 C rea en mí, oh Dios, un corazón limpio, Y renueva un espíritu recto dentro de mí.

Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.

11 N o me eches de delante de ti, Y no retires de mí tu santo Espíritu.

Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me.

12 D evuélveme el gozo de tu salvación, Y en espíritu de nobleza afiánzame.

Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit.

13 E ntonces enseñaré a los transgresores tus caminos, Y los pecadores se convertirán a ti.

Then will I teach transgressors thy ways; and sinners shall be converted unto thee.

14 L íbrame de la sangre derramada, oh Dios, Dios de mi salvación; Y cantará mi lengua tu justicia.

Deliver me from bloodguiltiness, O God, thou God of my salvation: and my tongue shall sing aloud of thy righteousness.

15 S eñor, abre mis labios, Y publicará mi boca tu alabanza.

O Lord, open thou my lips; and my mouth shall shew forth thy praise.

16 P orque no quieres sacrificio, que yo lo daría; Si te ofrezco holocausto, no lo aceptas.

For thou desirest not sacrifice; else would I give it: thou delightest not in burnt offering.

17 S acrificio es para Dios un espíritu quebrantado; Al corazón contrito y humillado no lo desprecias tú, oh Dios.

The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.

18 H az bien con tu benevolencia a Sión; Reedifica los muros de Jerusalén.

Do good in thy good pleasure unto Zion: build thou the walls of Jerusalem.

19 E ntonces te agradarán los sacrificios de justicia, el holocausto y ofrendas enteras; Entonces ofrecerán becerros sobre tu altar.

Then shalt thou be pleased with the sacrifices of righteousness, with burnt offering and whole burnt offering: then shall they offer bullocks upon thine altar.
