Groß sind die Werke des HERRN; wer ihrer achtet, der hat eitel Lust daran.

3 H is work is honorable and glorious, and His righteousness endures forever.

Was er ordnet, das ist löblich und herrlich; und seine Gerechtigkeit bleibt ewiglich.

4 H e has made His wonderful works to be remembered; the Lord is gracious, merciful, and full of loving compassion.

Er hat ein Gedächtnis gestiftet seiner Wunder, der gnädige und barmherzige HERR.

5 H e has given food and provision to those who reverently and worshipfully fear Him; He will remember His covenant forever and imprint it.

Er gibt Speise denen, die ihn fürchten; er gedenkt ewiglich an seinen Bund.

6 H e has declared and shown to His people the power of His works in giving them the heritage of the nations.

Er läßt verkündigen seine gewaltigen Taten seinem Volk, daß er ihnen gebe das Erbe der Heiden.

7 T he works of His hands are truth and justice; and all His decrees and precepts are sure (fixed, established, and trustworthy).

Die Werke seiner Hände sind Wahrheit und Recht; alle seine Gebote sind rechtschaffen.

8 T hey stand fast and are established forever and ever and are done in truth and uprightness.

Sie werden erhalten immer und ewiglich und geschehen treulich und redlich.

9 H e has sent redemption to His people; He has commanded His covenant to be forever; holy is His name, inspiring awe, reverence, and godly fear.

Er sendet eine Erlösung seinem Volk; er verheizt, daß sein Bund ewiglich bleiben soll. Heilig und hehr ist sein Name.

10 T he reverent fear and worship of the Lord is the beginning of Wisdom and skill; a good understanding, wisdom, and meaning have all those who do. Their praise of Him endures forever.

Die Furcht des HERRN ist der Weisheit Anfang. Das ist eine feine Klugheit, wer darnach tut, des Lob bleibt ewiglich.
