1 R einó, pues, el rey Salomón sobre todo Israel.

And king Solomon is king over all Israel,

2 Y estos fueron los jefes que tuvo: Azarías hijo del sacerdote Sadoc;

and these the heads whom he hath: Azariah son of Zadok the priest;

3 E lihoref y Ahías, hijos de Sisa, secretarios; Josafat hijo de Ahilud, canciller;

Elihoreph and Ahiah sons of Shisha scribes; Jehoshaphat son of Ahilud remembrancer;

4 B enaía hijo de Joiada sobre el ejército; Sadoc y Abiatar, los sacerdotes;

and Benaiah son of Jehoiada over the host; and Zadok and Abiathar priests;

5 A zarías hijo de Natán, sobre los gobernadores; Zabud hijo de Natán, ministro principal y amigo del rey;

and Azariah son of Nathan over the officers; and Zabud son of Nathan minister, friend of the king;

6 A hisar, mayordomo; y Adoniram hijo de Abda, sobre el tributo.

And Ahishar over the household, and Adoniram son of Abda over the tribute.

7 T enía Salomón doce gobernadores sobre todo Israel, los cuales mantenían al rey y a su casa. Cada uno de ellos estaba obligado a abastecerlo por un mes en el año.

And Solomon hath twelve officers over all Israel, and they have sustained the king and his household -- a month in the year is on each one for sustenance;

8 Y estos son los nombres de ellos: el hijo de Hur en el monte de Efraín;

and these their names: Ben-Hur in the hill-country of Ephraim;

9 e l hijo de Decar en Macaz, en Saalbim, en Bet-semes, en Elón y en Bet-hanán;

Ben-Dekar in Makaz, and Shaalbim, and Beth-Shemesh, and Elon-Beth-Hanan.

10 e l hijo de Hesed en Arubot; éste tenía también a Soco y toda la tierra de Hefer;

Ben-Hesed in Aruboth, hath Sochoh and all the land of Hepher;

11 e l hijo de Abinadab en todos los territorios de Dor; éste tenía por mujer a Tafat hija de Salomón;

Ben-Abinadab all the elevation of Dor, Taphath daughter of Solomon became his wife.

12 B aana hijo de Ahilud en Taanac y Meguido, en toda Bet-seán, que está cerca de Saretán, más abajo de Jezreel, desde Bet-seán hasta Abel-mehola, y hasta el otro lado de Jocmeam;

Baana Ben-Ahilud Taanach and Megiddo, and all Beth-Shean, which by Zartanah beneath Jezreel, from Beth-Shean unto Abel-Meholah, unto beyond Jokneam.

13 e l hijo de Geber en Ramot de Galaad; éste tenía también las ciudades de Jair hijo de Manasés, las cuales estaban en Galaad; tenía también la provincia de Argob que estaba en Basán, sesenta grandes ciudades con muro y cerraduras de bronce;

Ben-Geber, in Ramoth-Gilead, hath the small towns of Jair son of Manasseh, which in Gilead; he hath a portion of Argob that in Bashan, sixty great cities wall and brazen bar.

14 A hinadab hijo de Iddo en Mahanaim;

Ahinadab son of Iddo Mahanaim.

15 A himaas en Neftalí; éste tomó también por mujer a Basemat hija de Salomón.

Ahimaaz in Naphtali; he also hath taken Basemath daughter of Solomon for a wife.

16 B aana hijo de Husai, en Aser y en Alot;

Baanah Ben-Hushai in Asher, and in Aloth.

17 J osafat hijo de Parúa, en Isacar;

Jehoshaphat Ben-Paruah in Issachar.

18 S imei hijo de Ela, en Benjamín;

Shimei Ben-Elah in Benjamin.

19 G eber hijo de Uri, en la tierra de Galaad, la tierra de Sehón rey de los amorreos y de Og rey de Basán; éste era el único gobernador en aquella tierra.

Geber Ben-Uri in the land of Gilead, the land of Sihon king of the Amorite, and of Og king of Bashan: and one officer who in the land.

20 J udá e Israel eran muchos, como la arena que está junto al mar en multitud, comiendo, bebiendo y alegrándose.

Judah and Israel many, as the sand that by the sea for multitude, eating and drinking and rejoicing.

21 Y Salomón señoreaba sobre todos los reinos desde el Eufrates hasta la tierra de los filisteos y el límite con Egipto; y traían presentes, y sirvieron a Salomón todos los días que vivió.

And Solomon hath been ruling over all the kingdoms, from the River the land of the Philistines and unto the border of Egypt: they are bringing nigh a present, and serving Solomon, all days of his life.

22 Y la provisión de Salomón para cada día era de treinta coros de flor de harina, sesenta coros de harina,

And the provision of Solomon for one day is thirty cors of flour, and sixty cors of meal;

23 d iez bueyes gordos, veinte bueyes de pasto y cien ovejas; sin los ciervos, gacelas, corzos y aves gordas.

ten fat oxen, and twenty feeding oxen, and a hundred sheep, apart from hart, and roe, and fallow-deer, and fatted beasts of the stalls,

24 P orque él señoreaba en toda la región al oeste del Eufrates, desde Tifsa hasta Gaza, sobre todos los reyes al oeste del Eufrates; y tuvo paz por todos lados alrededor.

for he is ruling over all beyond the river, from Tiphsah and unto Gaza, over all the kings beyond the river, and he hath peace from all his servants round about.

25 Y Judá e Israel vivían seguros, cada uno debajo de su parra y debajo de su higuera, desde Dan hasta Beerseba, todos los días de Salomón.

And Judah dwelleth -- and Israel -- in confidence, each under his vine, and under his fig-tree, from Dan even unto Beer-Sheba, all the days of Solomon.

26 A demás de esto, Salomón tenía cuarenta mil caballos en sus caballerizas para sus carros, y doce mil jinetes.

And Solomon hath forty thousand stalls of horses for his chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen.

27 Y estos gobernadores mantenían al rey Salomón, y a todos los que a la mesa del rey Salomón venían, cada uno un mes, y hacían que nada faltase.

And these officers have sustained king Solomon and every one drawing near unto the table of king Solomon, each his month; they let nothing be lacking.

28 H acían también traer cebada y paja para los caballos y para las bestias de carga, al lugar donde él estaba, cada uno conforme al turno que tenía.

And the barley and the straw, for horses and for dromedaries, they bring in unto the place where they are, each according to his ordinance.

29 Y Dios dio a Salomón sabiduría y prudencia muy grandes, y anchura de corazón como la arena que está a la orilla del mar.

And God giveth wisdom to Solomon, and understanding, very much, and breadth of heart, as the sand that on the edge of the sea;

30 E ra mayor la sabiduría de Salomón que la de todos los orientales, y que toda la sabiduría de los egipcios.

and the wisdom of Solomon is greater than the wisdom of any of the sons of the east, and than all the wisdom of Egypt;

31 A un fue más sabio que todos los hombres, más que Etán ezraíta, y que Hemán, Calcol y Darda, hijos de Mahol; y fue conocido entre todas las naciones de alrededor.

and he is wiser than all men, than Ethan the Ezrahite, and Heman, and Chalcol, and Darda, sons of Mahol, and his name is in all the nations round about.

32 Y compuso tres mil proverbios, y sus cantares fueron mil cinco.

And he speaketh three thousand similes, and his songs five, and the chief one;

33 T ambién disertó sobre los árboles, desde el cedro del Líbano hasta el hisopo que nace en la pared. Asimismo disertó sobre los animales, sobre las aves, sobre los reptiles y sobre los peces.

and he speaketh concerning the trees, from the cedar that in Lebanon, even unto the hyssop that is coming out in the wall, and he speaketh concerning the cattle, and concerning the fowl, and concerning the creeping things, and concerning the fishes,

34 Y para oír la sabiduría de Salomón venían de todos los pueblos y de todos los reyes de la tierra, adonde había llegado la fama de su sabiduría.

and there come out of all the peoples to hear the wisdom of Solomon, from all kings of the earth who have heard of his wisdom.
