1 A hora, así dice Jehová, Creador tuyo, oh Jacob, y Formador tuyo, oh Israel: No temas, porque yo te redimí; te puse nombre, mío eres tú.

And now, thus said Jehovah, Thy Creator, O Jacob, and thy Fashioner, O Israel, Be not afraid, for I have redeemed thee, I have called on thy name -- thou Mine.

2 C uando pases por las aguas, yo estaré contigo; y si por los ríos, no te anegarán. Cuando pases por el fuego, no te quemarás, ni la llama arderá en ti.

When thou passest into waters, I with thee, And into floods, they do not overflow thee, When thou goest into fire, thou art not burnt, And a flame doth not burn against thee.

3 P orque yo Jehová, Dios tuyo, el Santo de Israel, soy tu Salvador; a Egipto he dado por tu rescate, a Etiopía y a Seba por ti.

For I -- Jehovah thy God, The Holy One of Israel, thy Saviour, I have appointed Egypt thine atonement, Cush and Seba in thy stead.

4 P orque a mis ojos fuiste de gran estima, fuiste honorable, y yo te amé; daré, pues, hombres por ti, y naciones por tu vida.

Since thou wast precious in Mine eyes, Thou wast honoured, and I have loved thee, And I appoint men in thy stead, And peoples instead of thy life.

5 N o temas, porque yo estoy contigo; del oriente traeré tu generación, y del occidente te recogeré.

Be not afraid, for I with thee, From the east I bring in thy seed, And from the west I gather thee.

6 D iré al norte: Da acá; y al sur: No detengas; trae de lejos mis hijos, y mis hijas de los confines de la tierra,

I am saying to the north, `Give up,' And to the south, `Restrain not.' Bring in My sons from afar, And My daughters from the end of the earth.

7 t odos los llamados de mi nombre; para gloria mía los he creado, los formé y los hice.

Every one who is called by My name, Even for My honour I have created him, I have formed him, yea, I have made him.

8 S acad al pueblo ciego que tiene ojos, y a los sordos que tienen oídos.

He brought out a blind people who have eyes, And deaf ones who have ears.

9 C ongréguense a una todas las naciones, y júntense todos los pueblos. ¿Quién de ellos hay que nos dé nuevas de esto, y que nos haga oír las cosas primeras? Presenten sus testigos, y justifíquense; oigan, y digan: Verdad es.

All the nations have been gathered together, And the peoples are assembled, Who among them declareth this, And former things causeth us to hear? They give their witnesses, And they are declared righteous, And they hear and say, `Truth.'

10 V osotros sois mis testigos, dice Jehová, y mi siervo que yo escogí, para que me conozcáis y creáis, y entendáis que yo mismo soy; antes de mí no fue formado dios, ni lo será después de mí.

Ye My witnesses, an affirmation of Jehovah, And My servant whom I have chosen, So that ye know and give credence to Me, And understand that I He, Before Me there was no God formed, And after Me there is none.

11 Y o, yo Jehová, y fuera de mí no hay quien salve.

I -- I Jehovah, And besides Me there is no saviour.

12 Y o anuncié, y salvé, e hice oír, y no hubo entre vosotros dios ajeno. Vosotros, pues, sois mis testigos, dice Jehová, que yo soy Dios.

I -- I declared, and saved, and proclaimed, And there is no stranger with you, And ye My witnesses, an affirmation of Jehovah, And I God.

13 A un antes que hubiera día, yo era; y no hay quien de mi mano libre. Lo que hago yo, ¿quién lo estorbará?

Even from the day I He, And there is no deliverer from My hand, I work, and who doth turn it back?

14 A sí dice Jehová, Redentor vuestro, el Santo de Israel: Por vosotros envié a Babilonia, e hice descender como fugitivos a todos ellos, aun a los caldeos en las naves de que se gloriaban.

Thus said Jehovah, your Redeemer, The Holy One of Israel: `For your sake I have sent to Babylon, And caused bars to descend -- all of them, And the Chaldeans, whose song in the ships.

15 Y o Jehová, Santo vuestro, Creador de Israel, vuestro Rey.

I Jehovah, your Holy One, Creator of Israel, your King.'

16 A sí dice Jehová, el que abre camino en el mar, y senda en las aguas impetuosas;

Thus said Jehovah, Who is giving in the sea a way, And in the strong waters a path.

17 e l que saca carro y caballo, ejército y fuerza; caen juntamente para no levantarse; fenecen, como pábilo quedan apagados.

Who is bringing forth chariot and horse, A force, even a strong one: `Together they lie down -- they rise not, They have been extinguished, As flax they have been quenched.'

18 N o os acordéis de las cosas pasadas, ni traigáis a memoria las cosas antiguas.

Remember not former things, And ancient things consider not.

19 H e aquí que yo hago cosa nueva; pronto saldrá a luz; ¿no la conoceréis? Otra vez abriré camino en el desierto, y ríos en la soledad.

Lo, I am doing a new thing, now it springeth up, Do ye not know it? Yea, I put in a wilderness a way, In a desolate place -- floods.

20 L as fieras del campo me honrarán, los chacales y los pollos del avestruz; porque daré aguas en el desierto, ríos en la soledad, para que beba mi pueblo, mi escogido.

Honour me doth the beast of the field, Dragons and daughters of an ostrich, For I have given in a wilderness waters, Floods in a desolate place, To give drink to My people -- My chosen.

21 E ste pueblo he creado para mí; mis alabanzas publicará.

This people I have formed for Myself, My praise they recount.

22 Y no me invocaste a mí, oh Jacob, sino que de mí te cansaste, oh Israel.

And Me thou hast not called, O Jacob, For thou hast been wearied of me, O Israel,

23 N o me trajiste a mí los animales de tus holocaustos, ni a mí me honraste con tus sacrificios; no te hice servir con ofrenda, ni te hice fatigar con incienso.

Thou hast not brought in to Me, The lamb of thy burnt-offerings, And thy sacrifices thou hast not honoured Me, I have not caused thee to serve with a present, Nor wearied thee with frankincense.

24 N o compraste para mí caña aromática por dinero, ni me saciaste con la grosura de tus sacrificios, sino pusiste sobre mí la carga de tus pecados, me fatigaste con tus maldades.

Thou hast not bought for Me with money sweet cane, And the fat of thy sacrifices hast not filled Me, Only -- thou hast caused Me to serve with thy sins, Thou hast wearied Me with thine iniquities.

25 Y o, yo soy el que borro tus rebeliones por amor de mí mismo, y no me acordaré de tus pecados.

I -- I He who is blotting out Thy transgressions for Mine own sake, And thy sins I do not remember.

26 H azme recordar, entremos en juicio juntamente; habla tú para justificarte.

Cause me to remember -- we are judged together, Declare thou that thou mayest be justified.

27 T u primer padre pecó, y tus enseñadores prevaricaron contra mí.

Thy first father sinned, And thine interpreters transgressed against me,

28 P or tanto, yo profané los príncipes del santuario, y puse por anatema a Jacob y por oprobio a Israel.

And I pollute princes of the sanctuary, And I give Jacob to destruction, and Israel to revilings!
