1 V ino a mí palabra de Jehová, diciendo:

And there is a word of Jehovah unto me, saying:

2 T ú, hijo de hombre, levanta endechas sobre Tiro.

`And thou, son of man, lift up concerning Tyre a lamentation, and thou hast said to Tyre:

3 D irás a Tiro, que está asentada a las orillas del mar, la que trafica con los pueblos de muchas costas: Así ha dicho Jehová el Señor: Tiro, tú has dicho: Yo soy de perfecta hermosura.

O dweller on the entrances of the sea, Merchant of the peoples unto many isles, Thus said the Lord Jehovah: O Tyre, thou -- thou hast said: I the perfection of beauty.

4 E n el corazón de los mares están tus confines; los que te edificaron completaron tu belleza.

In the heart of the seas thy borders, Thy builders have perfected thy beauty.

5 D e hayas del monte Senir te fabricaron todo el maderaje; tomaron cedros del Líbano para hacerte el mástil.

Of firs of Senir they have built to thee all thy double-boarded ships, Of cedars of Lebanon they have taken to make a mast for thee,

6 D e encinas de Basán hicieron tus remos; tus bancos de pino de las costas de Quitim, incrustados de marfil.

Of oaks of Bashan they made thine oars, Thy bench they have made of ivory, A branch of Ashurim from isles of Chittim.

7 D e lino fino bordado de Egipto era tu cortina, para que te sirviese de vela; de azul y púrpura de las costas de Elisa era tu pabellón.

Of fine linen with embroidery from Egypt hath been thy sail, To be to thee for an ensign, Of blue and purple from isles of Elishah hath been thy covering.

8 L os moradores de Sidón y de Arvad fueron tus remeros; tus sabios, oh Tiro, estaban en ti; ellos fueron tus pilotos.

Inhabitants of Zidon and Arvad have been rowers to thee, Thy wise men, O Tyre, have been in thee, They thy pilots.

9 L os ancianos de Gebal y sus más hábiles obreros calafateaban tus junturas; todas las naves del mar y los remeros de ellas fueron a ti para negociar, para participar de tus negocios.

Elders of Gebal and its wise men have been in thee, Strengthening thy breach; All ships of the sea and their mariners, Have been in thee, to trade thy merchandise.

10 P ersas y los de Lud y Fut fueron en tu ejército tus hombres de guerra; escudos y yelmos colgaron en ti; ellos te dieron tu esplendor.

Persian and Lud and Phut Have been in thy forces -- thy men of war. Shield and helmet they hung up in thee, They -- they have given out thine honour.

11 Y los hijos de Arvad con tu ejército estuvieron sobre tus muros alrededor, y los gamadeos en tus torres; sus escudos colgaron sobre tus muros alrededor; ellos completaron tu hermosura.

The sons of Arvad, and thy force, on thy walls round about, And short swordsmen in thy towers have been, Their shields they have hung up on thy walls round about, They -- they have perfected thy beauty.

12 T arsis comerciaba contigo por la abundancia de todas tus riquezas; con plata, hierro, estaño y plomo comerciaba en tus ferias.

Tarshish thy merchant, Because of the abundance of all wealth, For silver, iron, tin, and lead, They have given out thy remnants.

13 J aván, Tubal y Mesec comerciaban también contigo; con hombres y con utensilios de bronce comerciaban en tus ferias.

Javan, Tubal, and Meshech -- they thy merchants, For persons of men, and vessels of brass, They have given out thy merchandise.

14 L os de la casa de Togarma, con caballos y corceles de guerra y mulos, comerciaban en tu mercado.

They of the house of Togarmah, horses, and riding steeds, and mules, They have given out thy remnants.

15 L os hijos de Dedán traficaban contigo; muchas costas tomaban mercadería de tu mano; colmillos de marfil y ébano te dieron por sus pagos.

Sons of Dedan thy merchants, Many isles the mart of thy hand, Horns of ivory and ebony they sent back thy reward.

16 E dom traficaba contigo por la multitud de tus productos; con perlas, púrpura, vestidos bordados, linos finos, corales y rubíes venía a tus ferias.

Aram thy merchant, Because of the abundance of thy works, For emerald, purple, and embroidery, And fine linen, and coral, and agate, They have given out thy remnants.

17 J udá y la tierra de Israel comerciaban contigo; con trigos de Minit y Panag, miel, aceite y resina negociaban en tus mercados.

Judah and the land of Israel -- they thy merchants, For wheat of Minnith, and Pannag, And honey, and oil, and balm, They have given out thy merchandise.

18 D amasco comerciaba contigo por tus muchos productos, por la abundancia de toda riqueza; con vino de Helbón y lana blanca negociaban.

Damascus thy merchant, For the abundance of thy works, Because of the abundance of all wealth, For wine of Helbon, and white wool.

19 A simismo Dan y el errante Javán vinieron a tus ferias, para negociar en tu mercado con hierro labrado, mirra destilada y caña aromática.

Vedan and Javan go about with thy remnants, They have given shining iron, cassia, and cane, In thy merchandise it hath been.

20 D edán comerciaba contigo en paños preciosos para carros.

Dedan thy merchant, For clothes of freedom for riding.

21 A rabia y todos los príncipes de Cedar traficaban contigo en corderos y carneros y machos cabríos; en estas cosas fueron tus mercaderes.

Arabia, and all princes of Kedar, They the traders of thy hand, For lambs, and rams, and he-goats, In these thy merchants.

22 L os mercaderes de Sabá y de Raama fueron también tus mercaderes; con lo principal de toda especiería, y toda piedra preciosa, y oro, vinieron a tus ferias.

Merchants of Sheba and Raamah -- they thy merchants, For the chief of all spices, And for every precious stone, and gold, They have given out thy remnants.

23 H arán, Cane, Edén, y los mercaderes de Sabá, de Asiria y de Quilmad, contrataban contigo.

Haran, and Canneh, and Eden, merchants of Sheba, Asshur -- Chilmad -- thy merchants,

24 E stos mercaderes tuyos negociaban contigo en varias cosas; en mantos de azul y bordados, y en cajas de ropas preciosas, enlazadas con cordones, y en madera de cedro.

They thy merchants for perfect things, For wrappings of blue, and embroidery, And for treasuries of rich apparel, With cords bound and girded, for thy merchandise,

25 L as naves de Tarsis eran como tus caravanas que traían tus mercancías; así llegaste a ser opulenta, te multiplicaste en gran manera en medio de los mares.

Ships of Tarshish thy double walls of thy merchandise, And thou art filled and honoured greatly, In the heart of the seas.

26 E n muchas aguas te engolfaron tus remeros; viento solano te quebrantó en medio de los mares.

Into great waters have they brought thee, Those rowing thee, The east wind hath broken thee in the heart of the seas.

27 T us riquezas, tus mercaderías, tu tráfico, tus remeros, tus pilotos, tus calafateadores y los agentes de tus negocios, y todos tus hombres de guerra que hay en ti, con toda tu compañía que en medio de ti se halla, caerán en medio de los mares el día de tu caída.

Thy wealth and thy remnants, Thy merchandise, thy mariners, And thy pilots, strengtheners of thy breach, And the traders of thy merchandise, And all thy men of war, who in thee, And in all thine assembly that in thy midst, Fall into the heart of the seas in the day of thy fall,

28 A l estrépito de las voces de tus marineros temblarán las costas.

At the voice of the cry of thy pilots shake do the suburbs.

29 D escenderán de sus naves todos los que toman remo; remeros y todos los pilotos del mar se quedarán en tierra,

And come down from their ships have all handling an oar, Mariners, all the pilots of the sea, on the land they stand,

30 y harán oír su voz sobre ti, y gritarán amargamente, y echarán polvo sobre sus cabezas, y se revolcarán en ceniza.

And have sounded for thee with their voice, And cry bitterly, and cause dust to go up on their heads, In ashes they do roll themselves.

31 S e raerán por ti los cabellos, se ceñirán de cilicio, y endecharán por ti endechas amargas, con amargura del alma.

And they have made for thee baldness, And they have girded on sackcloth, And they have wept for thee, In bitterness of soul -- a bitter mourning.

32 Y levantarán sobre ti endechas en sus lamentaciones, y endecharán sobre ti, diciendo: ¿Quién como Tiro, como la destruida en medio del mar?

And lifted up for thee have their sons a lamentation, And they have lamented over thee, who as Tyre? As the cut-off one in the midst of the sea?

33 C uando tus mercaderías salían de las naves, saciabas a muchos pueblos; a los reyes de la tierra enriqueciste con la multitud de tus riquezas y de tu comercio.

With the outgoing of thy remnants from the seas, Thou hast filled many peoples, With the abundance of thy riches, and thy merchandise, Thou hast made rich things of earth.

34 E n el tiempo en que seas quebrantada por los mares en lo profundo de las aguas, tu comercio y toda tu compañía caerán en medio de ti.

The time of being broken by the seas in the depths of the waters, Thy merchandise and all thy assembly in thy midst have fallen.

35 T odos los moradores de las costas se maravillarán sobre ti, y sus reyes temblarán de espanto; demudarán sus rostros.

All inhabitants of the isles have been astonished at thee, And their kings have been sore afraid, They have been troubled in countenance.

36 L os mercaderes en los pueblos silbarán contra ti; vendrás a ser espanto, y para siempre dejarás de ser.

Merchants among the peoples have shrieked for thee, Wastes thou hast been, and thou art not -- to the age!'
