1 T e glorificaré, Jehová, porque me has exaltado y no has permitido que mis enemigos se alegren de mí.

I will lift You up, O Lord, for You have lifted me up. You have not let those who hate me stand over me in joy.

2 J ehová, Dios mío, a ti clamé y me sanaste.

O Lord my God, I cried to You for help and You healed me.

3 J ehová, hiciste subir mi alma del seol. Me diste vida, para que no descendiera a la sepultura.

O Lord, You have brought me up from the grave. You have kept me alive, so that I will not go down into the deep.

4 ¡ Cantad a Jehová, vosotros sus santos, y celebrad la memoria de su santidad!,

Sing praise to the Lord, all you who belong to Him. Give thanks to His holy name.

5 p orque por un momento será su ira, pero su favor dura toda la vida. Por la noche durará el lloro y a la mañana vendrá la alegría.

For His anger lasts only a short time. But His favor is for life. Crying may last for a night, but joy comes with the new day.

6 E n mi prosperidad dije yo: «No seré jamás conmovido»,

As for me, when all was going well, I said, “I will never be moved.”

7 p orque tú, Jehová, con tu favor me afirmaste como a monte fuerte. Escondiste tu rostro, fui turbado.

O Lord, by Your favor You have made my mountain stand strong. But when You hid Your face, I was troubled.

8 A ti, Jehová, clamaré; al Señor suplicaré.

I cried to You, O Lord. I begged the Lord for loving-kindness.

9 ¿ Qué provecho hay en mi muerte cuando descienda a la sepultura? ¿Te alabará el polvo? ¿Anunciará tu verdad?

What good will come from my blood, if I go down to the grave? Will the dust thank You? Will it tell how You are faithful?

10 O ye, Jehová, y ten misericordia de mí; Jehová, ¡sé tú mi ayudador!

Hear, O Lord. And show me loving-kindness. O Lord, be my Helper.

11 H as cambiado mi lamento en baile; me quitaste la ropa áspera y me vestiste de alegría.

You have turned my crying into dancing. You have taken off my clothes made from hair, and dressed me with joy.

12 P or tanto, a ti cantaré, gloria mía, y no estaré callado. Jehová Dios mío, ¡te alabaré para siempre!

So my soul may sing praise to You, and not be quiet. O Lord my God, I will give thanks to You forever.
