1 A nd Nadab and Abihu, the sons of Aaron, took either of them his censer, and put fire therein, and put incense thereon, and offered strange fire before the Lord, which he commanded them not.

¶ Y los hijos de Aarón, Nadab y Abiú, tomaron cada uno su incensario, y pusieron fuego en ellos, sobre el cual pusieron perfume, y ofrecieron delante del SEÑOR fuego extraño, que él nunca les mandó.

2 A nd there went out fire from the Lord, and devoured them, and they died before the Lord.

Y salió fuego de la presencia del SEÑOR que los quemó, y murieron delante del SEÑOR.

3 T hen Moses said unto Aaron, This is it that the Lord spake, saying, I will be sanctified in them that come nigh me, and before all the people I will be glorified. And Aaron held his peace.

¶ Entonces dijo Moisés a Aarón: Esto es lo que habló el SEÑOR, diciendo: En los que a mí se acercan me santificaré, y en presencia de todo el pueblo seré glorificado. Y Aarón calló.

4 A nd Moses called Mishael and Elzaphan, the sons of Uzziel the uncle of Aaron, and said unto them, Come near, carry your brethren from before the sanctuary out of the camp.

Y llamó Moisés a Misael, y a Elzafán, hijos de Uziel, tío de Aarón, y les dijo; acercaos y sacad a vuestros hermanos de delante del santuario fuera del campamento.

5 S o they went near, and carried them in their coats out of the camp; as Moses had said.

Y ellos se acercaron, y los sacaron en sus túnicas fuera del campamento, como dijo Moisés.

6 A nd Moses said unto Aaron, and unto Eleazar and unto Ithamar, his sons, Uncover not your heads, neither rend your clothes; lest ye die, and lest wrath come upon all the people: but let your brethren, the whole house of Israel, bewail the burning which the Lord hath kindled.

Entonces Moisés dijo a Aarón, y a Eleazar y a Itamar, sus hijos: No descubráis vuestras cabezas, ni rasguéis vuestros vestidos, para que no muráis, ni se levante la ira sobre toda la congregación; pero vuestros hermanos, toda la Casa de Israel, lamentarán por el incendio que el SEÑOR ha hecho.

7 A nd ye shall not go out from the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, lest ye die: for the anointing oil of the Lord is upon you. And they did according to the word of Moses.

Ni saldréis de la puerta del tabernáculo del testimonio, porque moriréis; por cuanto el aceite de la unción del SEÑOR está sobre vosotros. Y ellos hicieron conforme al dicho de Moisés.

8 A nd the Lord spake unto Aaron, saying,

¶ El SEÑOR habló a Aarón, diciendo:

9 D o not drink wine nor strong drink, thou, nor thy sons with thee, when ye go into the tabernacle of the congregation, lest ye die: it shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations:

Tú, y tus hijos contigo, no beberéis vino ni sidra, cuando hubiereis de entrar en el tabernáculo del testimonio, para que no muráis; será estatuto perpetuo por vuestras generaciones;

10 A nd that ye may put difference between holy and unholy, and between unclean and clean;

y esto para poder discernir entre lo santo y lo profano, y entre lo inmundo y lo limpio;

11 A nd that ye may teach the children of Israel all the statutes which the Lord hath spoken unto them by the hand of Moses.

y para enseñar a los hijos de Israel todos los estatutos que el SEÑOR les ha dicho por mano de Moisés.

12 A nd Moses spake unto Aaron, and unto Eleazar and unto Ithamar, his sons that were left, Take the meat offering that remaineth of the offerings of the Lord made by fire, and eat it without leaven beside the altar: for it is most holy:

¶ Y Moisés dijo a Aarón, y a Eleazar y a Itamar, sus hijos que le quedaban: Tomad el presente que queda de las ofrendas encendidas al SEÑOR, y comedlo sin levadura junto al altar, porque es cosa santísima.

13 A nd ye shall eat it in the holy place, because it is thy due, and thy sons' due, of the sacrifices of the Lord made by fire: for so I am commanded.

Habéis, pues, de comerlo en el lugar santo; porque esto será fuero para ti, y fuero para tus hijos, de las ofrendas encendidas al SEÑOR, pues que así me ha sido mandado.

14 A nd the wave breast and heave shoulder shall ye eat in a clean place; thou, and thy sons, and thy daughters with thee: for they be thy due, and thy sons' due, which are given out of the sacrifices of peace offerings of the children of Israel.

Comeréis asimismo en lugar limpio, tú y tus hijos y tus hijas contigo, el pecho de la mecida, y la espaldilla elevada, porque por fuero para ti, y fuero para tus hijos, son dados de los sacrificios de la paz de los hijos de Israel.

15 T he heave shoulder and the wave breast shall they bring with the offerings made by fire of the fat, to wave it for a wave offering before the Lord; and it shall be thine, and thy sons' with thee, by a statute for ever; as the Lord hath commanded.

Con las ofrendas de los sebos que se han de encender, traerán la espaldilla que se ha de elevar, y el pecho que será mecido, para que lo mezas por ofrenda de mecedura delante del SEÑOR; y será por fuero perpetuo tuyo, y de tus hijos contigo, como el SEÑOR lo ha mandado.

16 A nd Moses diligently sought the goat of the sin offering, and, behold, it was burnt: and he was angry with Eleazar and Ithamar, the sons of Aaron which were left alive, saying,

Y Moisés demandó el macho cabrío del pecado, y se halló que era quemado; y se enojó contra Eleazar e Itamar, los hijos de Aarón que habían quedado, diciendo:

17 W herefore have ye not eaten the sin offering in the holy place, seeing it is most holy, and God hath given it you to bear the iniquity of the congregation, to make atonement for them before the Lord ?

¿Por qué no comisteis de la expiación del pecado en el lugar santo? Porque es santísimo, y la dio él a vosotros para llevar la iniquidad de la congregación, para que sean reconciliados delante del SEÑOR.

18 B ehold, the blood of it was not brought in within the holy place: ye should indeed have eaten it in the holy place, as I commanded.

Veis que su sangre no fue metida en el santuario de adentro; habíais de comerla en el lugar santo, como yo mandé.

19 A nd Aaron said unto Moses, Behold, this day have they offered their sin offering and their burnt offering before the Lord; and such things have befallen me: and if I had eaten the sin offering to day, should it have been accepted in the sight of the Lord ?

Y respondió Aarón a Moisés: He aquí hoy han ofrecido su pecado y su holocausto delante del SEÑOR; con todo eso me han acontecido estas cosas; pues si comiera yo hoy de la expiación del pecado, ¿Hubiera sido acepto al SEÑOR?

20 A nd when Moses heard that, he was content.

Y Moisés oyó esto, y lo aceptó.
