1 A sí, pues, nosotros, como colaboradores suyos, os exhortamos también a que no recibáis en vano la gracia de Dios,

And working together with Him, we also urge you not to receive the grace of God in vain—

2 p orque dice: «En tiempo aceptable te he oído, y en día de salvación te he socorrido.» Ahora es el tiempo aceptable; ahora es el día de salvación.

for He says, “ At the acceptable time I listened to you, And on the day of salvation I helped you.” Behold, now is “ the acceptable time,” behold, now is “ the day of salvation ”—

3 N o damos a nadie ninguna ocasión de tropiezo, para que nuestro ministerio no sea desacreditado.

giving no cause for offense in anything, so that the ministry will not be discredited,

4 A ntes bien, nos recomendamos en todo como ministros de Dios, en mucha paciencia, en tribulaciones, en necesidades, en angustias,

but in everything commending ourselves as servants of God, in much endurance, in afflictions, in hardships, in distresses,

5 e n azotes, en cárceles, en tumultos, en trabajos, en desvelos, en ayunos;

in beatings, in imprisonments, in tumults, in labors, in sleeplessness, in hunger,

6 e n pureza, en conocimiento, en tolerancia, en bondad, en el Espíritu Santo, en amor sincero;

in purity, in knowledge, in patience, in kindness, in the Holy Spirit, in genuine love,

7 e n palabra de verdad, en poder de Dios y con armas de justicia a diestra y a siniestra;

in the word of truth, in the power of God; by the weapons of righteousness for the right hand and the left,

8 p or honra y por deshonra, por mala fama y por buena fama; como engañadores, pero veraces;

by glory and dishonor, by evil report and good report; regarded as deceivers and yet true;

9 c omo desconocidos, pero bien conocidos; como moribundos, pero llenos de vida; como castigados, pero no muertos;

as unknown yet well-known, as dying yet behold, we live; as punished yet not put to death,

10 c omo entristecidos, pero siempre gozosos; como pobres, pero enriqueciendo a muchos; como no teniendo nada, pero poseyéndolo todo.

as sorrowful yet always rejoicing, as poor yet making many rich, as having nothing yet possessing all things.

11 O s hemos hablado con franqueza, corintios; nuestro corazón os hemos abierto.

Our mouth has spoken freely to you, O Corinthians, our heart is opened wide.

12 N o hemos sido mezquinos en nuestro amor por vosotros, pero vosotros sí lo habéis sido en vuestro propio corazón.

You are not restrained by us, but you are restrained in your own affections.

13 P ara corresponder, pues, del mismo modo os hablo como a hijos, actuad también vosotros con franqueza. Somos templo del Dios viviente

Now in a like exchange—I speak as to children—open wide to us also.

14 N o os unáis en yugo desigual con los incrédulos, porque ¿qué compañerismo tiene la justicia con la injusticia? ¿Y qué comunión, la luz con las tinieblas?

Do not be bound together with unbelievers; for what partnership have righteousness and lawlessness, or what fellowship has light with darkness?

15 ¿ Qué armonía puede haber entre Cristo y Belial? ¿O qué parte el creyente con el incrédulo?

Or what harmony has Christ with Belial, or what has a believer in common with an unbeliever?

16 ¿ Y qué acuerdo hay entre el templo de Dios y los ídolos? Y vosotros sois el templo del Dios viviente, como Dios dijo: «Habitaré y andaré entre ellos; yo seré su Dios y ellos serán mi pueblo.»

Or what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For we are the temple of the living God; just as God said, “ I will dwell in them and walk among them; And I will be their God, and they shall be My people.

17 P or lo cual, «Salid de en medio de ellos y apartaos, dice el Señor, y no toquéis lo impuro; y yo os recibiré

“ Therefore, come out from their midst and be separate,” says the Lord. “ And do not touch what is unclean; And I will welcome you.

18 y seré para vosotros por Padre, y vosotros me seréis hijos e hijas, dice el Señor Todopoderoso.»

“ And I will be a father to you, And you shall be sons and daughters to Me,” Says the Lord Almighty.
