1 A sí trajeron el Arca de Dios, y la pusieron en medio de la tienda que David había levantado para ella; y ofrecieron holocaustos y sacrificios de paz delante de Dios.

And they brought in the ark of God and placed it inside the tent which David had pitched for it, and they offered burnt offerings and peace offerings before God.

2 C uando David acabó de ofrecer el holocausto y los sacrificios de paz, bendijo al pueblo en el nombre de Jehová.

When David had finished offering the burnt offering and the peace offerings, he blessed the people in the name of the Lord.

3 Y repartió a todo Israel, así a hombres como a mujeres, a cada uno una torta de pan, una pieza de carne y una torta de pasas.

He distributed to everyone of Israel, both man and woman, to everyone a loaf of bread and a portion of meat and a raisin cake.

4 P uso delante del Arca de Jehová ministros de los levitas, para que recordaran, confesaran y alabaran a Jehová, Dios de Israel:

He appointed some of the Levites as ministers before the ark of the Lord, even to celebrate and to thank and praise the Lord God of Israel:

5 A saf, el primero; el segundo después de él, Zacarías; Jeiel, Semiramot, Jehiel, Matatías, Eliab, Benaía, Obed-edom y Jeiel, con sus instrumentos de salterios y arpas; pero Asaf tocaba los címbalos.

Asaph the chief, and second to him Zechariah, then Jeiel, Shemiramoth, Jehiel, Mattithiah, Eliab, Benaiah, Obed-edom and Jeiel, with musical instruments, harps, lyres; also Asaph played loud-sounding cymbals,

6 T ambién los sacerdotes Benaía y Jahaziel tocaban continuamente las trompetas delante del Arca del pacto de Dios. Salmo de acción de gracias de David

and Benaiah and Jahaziel the priests blew trumpets continually before the ark of the covenant of God.

7 A quel día David, por primera vez, puso a Asaf y sus hermanos a cargo de la alabanza a Jehová:

Then on that day David first assigned Asaph and his relatives to give thanks to the Lord. Psalm of Thanksgiving

8 « ¡Alabad a Jehová, invocad su nombre, dad a conocer entre los pueblos sus obras!

Oh give thanks to the Lord, call upon His name; Make known His deeds among the peoples.

9 ¡ Cantad a él, cantadle salmos; hablad de todas sus maravillas!

Sing to Him, sing praises to Him; Speak of all His wonders.

10 » ¡Gloriaos en su santo nombre; alégrese el corazón de los que buscan a Jehová!

Glory in His holy name; Let the heart of those who seek the Lord be glad.

11 ¡ Buscad a Jehová y su poder; buscad su rostro continuamente!

Seek the Lord and His strength; Seek His face continually.

12 A cordaos de las maravillas que ha hecho, de sus prodigios y de los juicios de su boca,

Remember His wonderful deeds which He has done, His marvels and the judgments from His mouth,

13 v osotros, hijos de Israel, su siervo, hijos de Jacob, sus escogidos.

O seed of Israel His servant, Sons of Jacob, His chosen ones!

14 J ehová, él es nuestro Dios, sus juicios están en toda la tierra.

He is the Lord our God; His judgments are in all the earth.

15 É l se acuerda de su pacto perpetuamente, y de la palabra que mandó para mil generaciones;

Remember His covenant forever, The word which He commanded to a thousand generations,

16 d el pacto que concertó con Abraham, y de su juramento a Isaac,

The covenant which He made with Abraham, And His oath to Isaac.

17 e l cual confirmó a Jacob por estatuto, a Israel por pacto sempiterno,

He also confirmed it to Jacob for a statute, To Israel as an everlasting covenant,

18 d iciendo: “A ti daré la tierra de Canaán, porción de tu heredad.”

Saying, “ To you I will give the land of Canaan, As the portion of your inheritance.”

19 » Cuando ellos eran pocos en número, pocos y forasteros en ella,

When they were only a few in number, Very few, and strangers in it,

20 y andaban de nación en nación, y de un reino a otro pueblo,

And they wandered about from nation to nation, And from one kingdom to another people,

21 n o permitió que nadie los oprimiera; antes por amor de ellos castigó a los reyes.

He permitted no man to oppress them, And He reproved kings for their sakes, saying,

22 D ijo: “No toquéis a mis ungidos ni hagáis mal a mis profetas.”

“Do not touch My anointed ones, And do My prophets no harm.”

23 » Cantad a Jehová toda la tierra, proclamad de día en día su salvación.

Sing to the Lord, all the earth; Proclaim good tidings of His salvation from day to day.

24 C antad entre las gentes su gloria, en todos los pueblos sus maravillas.

Tell of His glory among the nations, His wonderful deeds among all the peoples.

25 P orque grande es Jehová, digno de suprema alabanza y más temible que todos los demás dioses.

For great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised; He also is to be feared above all gods.

26 P orque ídolos son todos los dioses de los pueblos, mas Jehová hizo los cielos.

For all the gods of the peoples are idols, But the Lord made the heavens.

27 A labanza y magnificencia hay delante de él. Poder y alegría hay en su morada.

Splendor and majesty are before Him, Strength and joy are in His place.

28 » ¡Tributad a Jehová, familias de los pueblos, dad a Jehová gloria y poder!

Ascribe to the Lord, O families of the peoples, Ascribe to the Lord glory and strength.

29 ¡ Dad a Jehová la honra debida a su nombre! Traed ofrenda y venid delante de él. ¡Postraos delante de Jehová en la hermosura de la santidad!

Ascribe to the Lord the glory due His name; Bring an offering, and come before Him; Worship the Lord in holy array.

30 ¡ Que tiemble en su presencia toda la tierra! Él afirmó el mundo para que no se conmueva.

Tremble before Him, all the earth; Indeed, the world is firmly established, it will not be moved.

31 A légrense los cielos, gócese la tierra. Digan en las naciones: “Jehová reina.”

Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice; And let them say among the nations, “ The Lord reigns.”

32 ¡ Resuene el mar y su plenitud! ¡Alégrese el campo y todo lo que hay en él!

Let the sea roar, and all it contains; Let the field exult, and all that is in it.

33 E ntonces cantarán los árboles de los bosques delante de Jehová, porque viene a juzgar la tierra.

Then the trees of the forest will sing for joy before the Lord; For He is coming to judge the earth.

34 » Aclamad a Jehová, porque él es bueno; porque su misericordia es eterna.

O give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; For His lovingkindness is everlasting.

35 Y decid: “¡Sálvanos, Dios, salvación nuestra! Recógenos y líbranos de las naciones, para que confesemos tu santo nombre, y nos gloriemos en tus alabanzas.”

Then say, “Save us, O God of our salvation, And gather us and deliver us from the nations, To give thanks to Your holy name, And glory in Your praise.”

36 ¡ Bendito sea Jehová, Dios de Israel, de eternidad a eternidad!» Y dijo todo el pueblo: «Amén», y alabó a Jehová. Los levitas encargados del Arca

Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel, From everlasting even to everlasting. Then all the people said, “Amen,” and praised the Lord. Worship before the Ark

37 D avid dejó allí, delante del Arca del pacto de Jehová, a Asaf y a sus hermanos, para que ministraran de continuo delante del Arca, según el rito de cada día;

So he left Asaph and his relatives there before the ark of the covenant of the Lord to minister before the ark continually, as every day’s work required;

38 y a Obed-edom con sus sesenta y ocho hermanos; y a Obed-edom hijo de Jedutún, y a Hosa, como porteros.

and Obed-edom with his 68 relatives; Obed-edom, also the son of Jeduthun, and Hosah as gatekeepers.

39 A simismo al sacerdote Sadoc, y a los sacerdotes, sus hermanos, delante del tabernáculo de Jehová en el lugar alto que estaba en Gabaón,

He left Zadok the priest and his relatives the priests before the tabernacle of the Lord in the high place which was at Gibeon,

40 p ara que sacrificaran continuamente, por la mañana y por la tarde, holocaustos a Jehová en el altar del holocausto, conforme a todo lo que está escrito en la ley que Jehová prescribió a Israel.

to offer burnt offerings to the Lord on the altar of burnt offering continually morning and evening, even according to all that is written in the law of the Lord, which He commanded Israel.

41 C on ellos estaban Hemán, Jedutún y los otros escogidos, designados por sus nombres, para glorificar a Jehová, porque es eterna su misericordia.

With them were Heman and Jeduthun, and the rest who were chosen, who were designated by name, to give thanks to the Lord, because His lovingkindness is everlasting.

42 Y con ellos, a Hemán y Jedutún, que tenían trompetas, címbalos y otros instrumentos de música para acompañar los cantos a Dios. Los hijos de Jedutún eran porteros.

And with them were Heman and Jeduthun with trumpets and cymbals for those who should sound aloud, and with instruments for the songs of God, and the sons of Jeduthun for the gate.

43 D espués todo el pueblo se fue, cada cual a su casa; también David se volvió para bendecir su casa.

Then all the people departed each to his house, and David returned to bless his household.
