1 A nd the whole assembly of the children of Israel gathered together at Shiloh, and set up the tent of meeting there; and the land was subdued before them.

Pastaj tërë asambleja e bijve të Izraelit u mblodh në Shiloh, dhe aty ngritën çadrën e mbledhjes. Vendi u ishte nënshtruar atyre.

2 A nd there remained among the children of Israel seven tribes whose inheritance had not been distributed to them.

Por kishte midis bijve të Izraelit shtatë fise, që nuk e kishin marrë akoma trashëgiminë e tyre.

3 A nd Joshua said to the children of Israel, How long will ye shew yourselves slack to go to take possession of the land which Jehovah the God of your fathers hath given you?

Kështu Jozueu u tha bijve të Izraelit: "Deri kur nuk do të kujdeseni të shkoni të merrni vendin që Zoti, Perëndia i etërve tuaj, ju ka dhënë?

4 P rovide you three men for a tribe; that I may send them, and they shall rise and go through the land, and describe it according to the proportion of their inheritance, and they shall come to me.

Zgjidhni midis jush tre burra për çdo fis dhe unë do t’i nis. Ata do të ngrihen, do ta përshkojnë vendin, do të bëjnë përshkrimin e tij në bazë të pjesës së tyre të trashëgimisë dhe pastaj do të kthehen tek unë.

5 A nd they shall divide it into seven portions. Judah shall remain in their border on the south, and the house of Joseph shall remain in their border on the north;

Ata do ta ndanë në shtatë pjesë: Juda do të mbetet në territorin e tij në jug dhe shtëpia e Jozefit në territorin e tij në veri.

6 a nd ye shall describe the land into seven portions, and bring hither to me, and I will cast lots for you here before Jehovah our God.

Ju do të bëni, pra, përshkrimin e vendit në shtatë pjesë; do ta sillni tek unë dhe unë do të hedh shortin për ju këtu, para Zotit, Perëndisë tonë.

7 B ut the Levites have no portion among you, for the priesthood of Jehovah is their inheritance. And Gad, and Reuben, and half the tribe of Manasseh have received their inheritance beyond the Jordan on the east, which Moses the servant of Jehovah gave them.

Por Levitët nuk duhet të kenë asnjë pjesë në mes tuaj, sepse priftëria e Zotit është trashëgimia e tyre; dhe Gadi, Rubeni dhe gjysma e fisit të Manasit kanë marrë trashëgiminë e tyre matanë Jordanit në lindje, që Moisiu, shërbëtori i Zotit, u ka dhënë atyre".

8 A nd the men arose and went away. And Joshua charged them that went to describe the land, saying, Go and walk through the land, and describe it, and come again to me, and I will cast lots for you here before Jehovah in Shiloh.

Ata njerëz, pra, u ngritën dhe u nisën; dhe Jozueu i urdhëroi ata që niseshin për të përshkruar vendin, duke u thënë: "Shkoni, përshkoni vendin dhe bëni përshkrimin e tij; pastaj kthehuni tek unë, dhe këtu unë do të hedh shortin për ju para Zotit në Shiloh".

9 A nd the men went and passed through the land, and described it by cities into seven portions, in a book, and they came to Joshua, to the camp at Shiloh.

Kështu ata njerëz u nisën, e përshkuan vendin dhe bënë në një libër përshkrimin e shtatë pjesëve të tij simbas qyteteve; pastaj u kthyen tek Jozueu në kampin e Shilohut.

10 A nd Joshua cast lots for them in Shiloh before Jehovah. And there Joshua divided the land to the children of Israel according to their divisions.

Atëherë Jozueu hodhi shortin për ta në Shiloh para Zotit dhe e ndau vendin midis bijve të Izraelit, simbas ndarjeve të tyre.

11 A nd the lot of the tribe of the children of Benjamin came up according to their families. And the territory of their lot came forth between the children of Judah and the children of Joseph.

U hodh në short pjesa e fisit të bijve të Beniaminit, simbas familjeve të tyre; territori që u ra në short kishte kufijtë e tij midis bijve të Judës dhe bijve të Jozefit.

12 A nd their border on the north side was from the Jordan; and the border went up to the side of Jericho on the north, and went up to the mountain westward; and ended at the wilderness of Beth-Aven;

Nga ana veriore kufiri i tyre fillonte me Jordanin, ngjitej në shpatin në veri të Jerikos, kalonte krahinën malore në drejtim të perëndimit dhe mbaronte në shkretëtirën e Beth-Avenit.

13 a nd the border passed on from thence toward Luz, to the south side of Luz, which is Bethel: and the border went down to Ataroth-Addar, near the hill that is on the south of the lower Beth-horon.

Që andej kufiri ngjitej në Luc, mbi shpatin në jug të Lucit (që është Betheli); pastaj zbriste në Ataroth-Adar, pranë malit që ndodhet në jug të Beth-Horonit të poshtëm.

14 — And the border reached along and turned on the west side, southward from the hill that is before Beth-horon southward; and ended at Kirjath-Baal, which is Kirjath-jearim, a city of the children of Judah: this is the west side.

Pastaj kufiri shtrihej, duke kthyer në krahun perëndimor drejt jugut të malit që ngrihej përballë Beth-Horonit, në jug, dhe mbaronte në Kirjath-Baal (që është Kiriath-Jearimi), qytet i bijve të Judës. Ky ishte krahu perëndimor.

15 — And the south side was from the extreme end of Kirjath-jearim, and the border went out on the west, and went out to the spring of the waters of Nephtoah.

Ana jugore fillonte në skajin e Kiriath-Jearimit. Kufiri zgjatej në drejtim të perëndimit deri sa prekte burimin e ujërave të Neftoahut;

16 A nd the border went down to the end of the mountain that is before the valley of the son of Hinnom, which is in the valley of Rephaim on the north, and went down the valley of Hinnom, to the side of the Jebusite on the south, and went down to En-rogel;

pastaj kufiri zbriste në skajin e malit që ndodhet përballë luginës së birit të Hinomit, që është në luginën e gjigantëve, në veri, dhe zbriste nëpër luginën e Hinomit, në anën jugore të qytetit të Jebuzejve, deri në En-Rogel.

17 a nd it reached along on the north, and went forth to En-shemesh, and went forth towards Geliloth, which is opposite to the ascent of Adummim, and went down to the stone of Bohan, the son of Reuben,

Pastaj kthente në drejtim të veriut dhe arrinte në En-Shemesh; shtrihej në drejtim të Gelilothit, që ndodhet përballë së përpjetës të Adumimit, dhe zbriste në gurin e Bohanit, birit të Rubenit;

18 a nd passed along towards the side opposite to Arabah northwards, and went down to Arabah;

pas kësaj kalonte në shpatin verior përballë Arabahut dhe zbriste në drejtim të tij.

19 a nd the border passed on to the side of Beth-hoglah on the north, and the border ended at the tongue of the salt sea northward, at the south end of the Jordan: this is the southern border.

Kufiri kalonte pastaj nga shpati verior i Beth-Hoglahut dhe mbaronte në kepin verior të Detit të Kripur, në skajin jugor të Jordanit. Ky ishte kufiri në jug.

20 — And the Jordan borders it on the east side.—This was the inheritance of the children of Benjamin, according to its borders round about, according to their families.

Jordani shërbente si kufi nga ana lindore. Kjo ishte trashëgimia e bijve të Beniaminit në bazë të kufijve rreth e qark, simbas familjeve të tyre.

21 A nd the cities of the tribe of the children of Benjamin according to their families were: Jericho, and Beth-hoglah, and Emek-Keziz,

Qytetet e fiseve të bijve të Beniaminit, simbas familjeve të tyre, ishin Jeriko, Beth-Hoglahu, Emek-Ketsitsi,

22 a nd Beth-Arabah, and Zemaraim, and Bethel,

Beth-Arabahu, Tsemaraimi, Betheli,

23 a nd Avvim, and Parah, and Ophrah,

Avimi, Parahu, Ofrahu,

24 a nd Chephar-haammonai, and Ophni, and Geba: twelve cities and their hamlets;

Kefar-Haamoni, Ofni dhe Geba: dymbëdhjetë qytete me fshatrat e tyre;

25 G ibeon, and Ramah, and Beeroth,

Gabaoni, Ramahu, Beerothi,

26 a nd Mizpeh, and Chephirah, and Mozah,

Mitspehu, Kefirahu, Motsahu,

27 a nd Rekem, and Jirpeel, and Tharalah,

Rekemi, Irpeeli, Taralahu,

28 a nd Zelah, Eleph, and Jebusi, that is, Jerusalem, Gibeah, Kirjath: fourteen cities and their hamlets. This was the inheritance of the children of Benjamin according to their families.

Tselahu, Efeli, Gebusi (që është Jeruzalemi), Gibeathi dhe Kirjathi: katërmbëdhjetë qytete me gjithë fshatrat e tyre. Kjo që trashëgimia e bijve të Beniaminit, simbas familjeve të tyre.
