1 H e that is wounded in the stones, or hath his privy member cut off, shall not enter into the congregation of the Lord.

“Ninguno que haya sido castrado o que tenga cortado su miembro viril entrará en la asamblea del Señor.

2 A bastard shall not enter into the congregation of the Lord; even to his tenth generation shall he not enter into the congregation of the Lord.

Ningún bastardo entrará en la asamblea del Señor, ninguno de sus descendientes, aun hasta la décima generación, entrará en la asamblea del Señor.

3 A n Ammonite or Moabite shall not enter into the congregation of the Lord; even to their tenth generation shall they not enter into the congregation of the Lord for ever:

Ningún Amonita ni Moabita entrará en la asamblea del Señor; ninguno de sus descendientes, aun hasta la décima generación, entrará jamás en la asamblea del Señor,

4 b ecause they met you not with bread and with water in the way, when ye came forth out of Egypt; and because they hired against thee Balaam the son of Beor of Pethor of Mesopotamia, to curse thee.

porque no fueron al encuentro de ustedes con pan y agua en el camino cuando salieron de Egipto, y porque alquilaron contra ti a Balaam, hijo de Beor, de Petor en Mesopotamia, para maldecirte.

5 N evertheless the Lord thy God would not hearken unto Balaam; but the Lord thy God turned the curse into a blessing unto thee, because the Lord thy God loved thee.

Pero el Señor tu Dios no quiso escuchar a Balaam, sino que el Señor tu Dios te cambió la maldición en bendición, porque el Señor tu Dios te ama.

6 T hou shalt not seek their peace nor their prosperity all thy days for ever.

Nunca procurarás la paz ni la prosperidad de ellos en todos tus días.

7 T hou shalt not abhor an Edomite; for he is thy brother: thou shalt not abhor an Egyptian; because thou wast a stranger in his land.

“No aborrecerás al Edomita, porque es tu hermano; no aborrecerás al Egipcio, porque fuiste extranjero en su tierra.

8 T he children that are begotten of them shall enter into the congregation of the Lord in their third generation.

Los hijos de la tercera generación que les nazcan podrán entrar en la asamblea del Señor. Leyes Diversas

9 W hen the host goeth forth against thine enemies, then keep thee from every wicked thing.

“Cuando salgas como ejército contra tus enemigos, te guardarás de toda cosa impura.

10 I f there be among you any man, that is not clean by reason of uncleanness that chanceth him by night, then shall he go abroad out of the camp, he shall not come within the camp:

Si hay en medio de ti un hombre inmundo a causa de una emisión nocturna, debe salir fuera del campamento; no volverá a entrar al campamento.

11 b ut it shall be, when evening cometh on, he shall wash himself with water: and when the sun is down, he shall come into the camp again.

Pero al llegar la tarde se bañará con agua, y cuando se ponga el sol, podrá entrar de nuevo al campamento.

12 T hou shalt have a place also without the camp, whither thou shalt go forth abroad:

Tendrás también un lugar fuera del campamento y saldrás allí;

13 a nd thou shalt have a paddle upon thy weapon; and it shall be, when thou wilt ease thyself abroad, thou shalt dig therewith, and shalt turn back and cover that which cometh from thee:

y entre tus herramientas tendrás una pala, y cuando te sientes allá fuera, cavarás con ella, y te darás vuelta para cubrir tu excremento.

14 f or the Lord thy God walketh in the midst of thy camp, to deliver thee, and to give up thine enemies before thee; therefore shall thy camp be holy: that he see no unclean thing in thee, and turn away from thee.

Porque el Señor tu Dios anda en medio de tu campamento para librarte y para derrotar a tus enemigos de delante de ti, por tanto, tu campamento debe ser santo; y El no debe ver nada indecente en medio de ti, no sea que se aparte de ti.

15 T hou shalt not deliver unto his master the servant which is escaped from his master unto thee:

“No entregarás a su amo un esclavo que venga a ti huyendo de su señor.

16 h e shall dwell with thee, even among you, in that place which he shall choose in one of thy gates, where it liketh him best: thou shalt not oppress him.

Contigo habitará en medio de ti, en el lugar que él escoja en una de tus ciudades donde le parezca bien; no lo maltratarás.

17 T here shall be no whore of the daughters of Israel, nor a Sodomite of the sons of Israel.

“Ninguna mujer de Israel será ramera de culto pagano; tampoco ninguno de los Israelitas será sodomita de culto pagano.

18 T hou shalt not bring the hire of a whore, or the price of a dog, into the house of the Lord thy God for any vow: for even both these are abomination unto the Lord thy God.

No traerás la paga de una ramera ni el sueldo de un perro (de un sodomita) a la casa del Señor tu Dios para cualquier ofrenda votiva (de voto), porque los dos son abominación para el Señor tu Dios.

19 T hou shalt not lend upon usury to thy brother; usury of money, usury of victuals, usury of any thing that is lent upon usury:

No cobrarás interés a tu hermano: interés sobre dinero, alimento, o cualquier cosa que pueda ser prestado a interés.

20 u nto a stranger thou mayest lend upon usury; but unto thy brother thou shalt not lend upon usury: that the Lord thy God may bless thee in all that thou settest thine hand to in the land whither thou goest to possess it.

Podrás cobrar interés a un extranjero, pero a tu hermano no le cobrarás interés a fin de que el Señor tu Dios te bendiga en todo lo que emprendas en la tierra que vas a entrar para poseerla.

21 W hen thou shalt vow a vow unto the Lord thy God, thou shalt not slack to pay it: for the Lord thy God will surely require it of thee; and it would be sin in thee.

“Cuando hagas un voto al Señor tu Dios, no tardarás en pagarlo, porque el Señor tu Dios ciertamente te lo reclamará, y sería pecado en ti si no lo cumples.

22 B ut if thou shalt forbear to vow, it shall be no sin in thee.

Sin embargo, si te abstienes de hacer un voto, no sería pecado en ti.

23 T hat which is gone out of thy lips thou shalt keep and perform; even a freewill offering, according as thou hast vowed unto the Lord thy God, which thou hast promised with thy mouth.

Lo que salga de tus labios, cuidarás de cumplirlo, tal como voluntariamente has hecho voto al Señor tu Dios, lo cual has prometido con tu boca.

24 W hen thou comest into thy neighbour’s vineyard, then thou mayest eat grapes thy fill at thine own pleasure; but thou shalt not put any in thy vessel.

“Cuando entres en la viña de tu prójimo, podrás comer las uvas que desees hasta saciarte, pero no pondrás ninguna en tu cesto.

25 W hen thou comest into the standing corn of thy neighbour, then thou mayest pluck the ears with thine hand; but thou shalt not move a sickle unto thy neighbour’s standing corn.

Cuando entres en la cosecha de tu prójimo, entonces podrás arrancar espigas con tu mano, pero no meterás la hoz a la cosecha de tu prójimo.
